Can we make a Les Mills on demand thread?

I'm just wondering if others are using Les Mills on demand and if we could maybe check in with each other to discuss what we are doing and what our goals are etc?

I am trying to loose 1 stone and doing 5:2 but i eat too much on my non-fasting days so I don't really loose any weight, so I'm adding exercise in the hope of shifting some weight Smile

So far I have done bodycombat 3 times this week for about half an hour each and some weights and flexibility training, but I think from next week I will be adding in bodypump

Is anyone else using this? I am really enjoying it so far Smile

@Cocacola12 Love it when you see that improvement in strength!

My spin bike came today!! I’m so happy. I did the latest The Trip. So hardcore I was dripping in sweat! Excited about integrating the bike into my new routine. I really enjoy The Trip. I’ve done a few RPMs at the gym and enjoyed that so will try that tomorrow and I only did Sprint once I think it’s more like Grit for bike. Not sure but I will experiment.

Absolutely! I’m pretty sure most of the LMOD content would be classed as cardio, to a varying degree.

Do you think you can get everything needed from the lmod app? Thinking I may cancel my Courtney black subscription now and just use lmod... but I haven't really looked at it other than pump...

Yes - HIIT, cardio, strength, tone, flexibility, core work. I really think it’s one of the best platforms for all round variety of classes. I’m a bit of a Les Mills fan girl 😂

The only thing I wish LMOD had is Pilates. Body Balance not the same.

Also a total LM fan girl. I am fitter than ever doing a variety of stuff on LM. The only reason I’m keeping my gym membership is that I belong to a lovely gym who are very supportive and I enjoy the group mentality in some classes I do there (they don’t do LM!) so when gyms open I’ll keep a mix. I’ve been doing LM for 4 years and it just gets better. The content and variety is top notch and the presenters are amazing.

Gonna cancel the Courtney app, I don't need both then 🙌 I'm excited to look at the other stuff!!

I'm keeping my gym membership I like classes especially in school holidays (I work in education) and swimming! I'd miss being able to swim whenever.

Did a 30 min body pump this morning to check it out if I could do it with my hand weights. I really enjoyed it! Just need to be careful where I position my arms so it reflects a barbell and I don’t hurt anything. Normally I’m a combat girl 😀 Managed to squeeze in an abs blast too before showering and going on a 4 mile walk with a friend. Loving the app. Running 11 miles tomorrow so will do a body balance when I get back to stretch out. Really enjoying adding the strength work and hopefully will aid speed and stop injuries 🤞🤞🤞

I did body combat today the one where Dan and Rachel were in nz. Omg. I was more focused in the nature rather than what I had to do :)

Hmmm might have to try optimal mix.

@jerometheturnipking I feel the same- I stick to the simpler things like pump as I worry that I am not getting a proper workout if I am fannying about trying to do the right moves! I struggle to be even coordinated enough for combat.

I am totally addicted to Pump again though- I don't know what it is about it!

No LMOD for me for a while. I have absolutely no idea how, but my left hip went from fine on Friday morning post workout to completely unable weight bear by 5pm . It feels like something has gone wrong in the hip flexor area, maybe inflammation + trapped nerve. #Gutted

Never in my hip before, but it feels similar to a couple of previous injuries such when I did my LCL ligament in my knee at chill factor skiing and when a calf injury caused pressure on a nerve (really feels like this to be honest especially with the pins and needles and what feels like random nausea inducing pain)

Pressed post too soon.. so my plan is rest, ibuprofen and very gentle movement. If no improvement tomorrow see if the local physio is open because there's no point taking this to a GP.

Is anyone else having trouble with the Les Mills app every time I try to do a class it comes up with error code 3 and I cannot get any help from customer service I have the yearly membership so it shouldn’t be a problem I’m desperate to do some classes

Hi, so sorry to crash your thread but I’ve just signed up for Les Mills as lockdown has turned me into a potato who is 2 stone heavier than she was at the start Grin

It looks great but I can’t seem to get it on the TV which is a rather large initial hurdle.

I’ve got a Samsung telly but it doesn’t appear on apps, and won’t let me login via web browser on there.

We’ve got Sky and Amazon prime TV. Is there any way of getting it via any of those?

Or am I going to have to somehow mirror from my phone?

I just wanted something easy to click on the telly, as any obstacles in my way will keep me as a potato....

I don't think you can get on Sky, not sure on Amazon. You can in theory mirror my iPad to our LG TV but it's so dodgy I've stopped bothering and just use the iPad on a recipe book stand!

I think you can get the app on an Amazon Fire stick if you don't mind spending £20-£30.

Hi there I usually go to my Bluetooth in my phone and it picks up my TV it’s also a Samsung one so it does work fine but you will need to pair your phone with your TV first I hope that helps

I eventually managed to use a connector thing to link my phone and the telly.

Then spend about half an hour learning some basic dance moves for Shbam, before deciding it was lunchtime Grin
