Can we make a Les Mills on demand thread?

Upsidedownrightnow · 05/06/2020 14:54

I'm just wondering if others are using Les Mills on demand and if we could maybe check in with each other to discuss what we are doing and what our goals are etc?

I am trying to loose 1 stone and doing 5:2 but i eat too much on my non-fasting days so I don't really loose any weight, so I'm adding exercise in the hope of shifting some weight Smile

So far I have done bodycombat 3 times this week for about half an hour each and some weights and flexibility training, but I think from next week I will be adding in bodypump

Is anyone else using this? I am really enjoying it so far Smile

The variety is soooooooo good. I am not sure I will go back to a gym for classes.

I got a studio barbell set from Mirafit which are under 100 quid - they always show as OOS but I did the email me when in stock thing and got an email (and a set) that day. Not quite as easy to use as the LM ones which my gym has but I've managed fine with them.

Matilda2013 · 13/02/2021 15:56

@MsMartini we now have 2 of those mirafit pump sets! They work perfect and not too expensive.
I do more than I ever did at the gym and probably won't go back.

MsMartini · 13/02/2021 16:44

@Matilda2013, they are good, aren't they, and so much cheaper. And yes, I also love the way if I have an hour to spare, I can set up, do a 45 min class and be in my own bath straight after. I may go back for the social life (my gym was very friendly!) and structure but though the instructors there were good, they rolled the same classes out more or less over and over again and with 20/25 people in a class, you didn't get a lot of attention.

TabbyStar · 13/02/2021 17:16

I stopped doing classes at the gym, as although my cardiovascular fitness is good, I have various injuries that mean I have to adapt quite a lot and I don't quite have the confidence to brazen out doing something different from everyone else, so it's perfect for me and I'll definitely keep it. I've even just bought some resistance tubes for CX Worx, which I wouldn't do in a class because of being so crap!

Matilda2013 · 13/02/2021 17:52

My gym was sociable if you wanted it to be but I much prefer the classes being available when u have time rather than working round their timetable. And I was never brave enough to try classes on my own so this is much better Grin
@TabbyStar I always took the options during the plank track on cx. Can't do the whole track not on my knees! I just didnt care Grin

Thanks for the recommendation! I've signed up for an alert 🤞🏻

Ah mirafit sold out :( typical.

Cocacola12 · 13/02/2021 23:35

Bc83 here today. Really tough release, love the music though makes it go quicker. I love track 6

Matilda2013 · 13/02/2021 23:45

@Pebbledashery I'd put your email address in for a notification of stock! They're always back in stock within a few days

MsMartini · 14/02/2021 10:05

Yes, sign up for an alert - they are never in stock, but I got an email later the same day.

@Matilda2013, yes and I like being able to plan classes around how I feel rather than planning me around classes......

Peachypips78 · 14/02/2021 12:57

Yes classes are much easier to fit in. I am doing the fast burner to start me off and there's always a spare half an hour.

My core is hurting after yesterday- in a good way!

HermioneWeasley · 14/02/2021 13:18

I did pump 114 with my daughter this morning

pistachioicecream · 14/02/2021 13:33

@Cocacola12

Combat 51 was the last one I did at the gym (pre children!) in 2012 ish. Really loved that one but app doesn’t go that far back. O/t and don’t know if it’s already been said up thread, but did you know Dan and Rach used to be married!
Haven't posted on here before although have read on and off as am a fellow LMOD addict and love hearing what releases other people are enjoying.

But - Dan and Rachael used to be married?!?! I did not know that - and can't quite get my head round that either - like someone else said. Gosh. Love them both.

BC 80 when it's just the two of them outside in the mountains got me through lockdown #1.

YY @sociallydistained they are definitely all my friends too ;-)

Although tbh I've struggled a lot in lockdown#3 and lost quite a lot of my exercise motivation. Did BP yesterday for the first time in weeks. Tried 115 for the first time and it was so hard. Very depressing. I couldn't do anywhere near my usual weights for anything and was so wobbly on the single arm twist things in the tricep track. I really need to get back into doing to regularly again - hate the feeling of not being able to do something I used to be able to do and am aching sooo much today :-(

MsMartini · 14/02/2021 14:36

@pistachioicecream, I really get it is hard to get back after a gap....keep posting. Another thing I really l like about LM is if I am feeling a bit meh - and this lockdown is tough I agree - I do Combat which always makes me smile, and then Core, or even just Core which needs less motivation I think as no leaping around and it starts off lying down Smile. Much better to do something manageable and enjoyable regularly, and stick at it, IMO. And gradually, it gets easier.....

jerometheturnipking · 14/02/2021 15:03

It's done wonders for my mental health too. At the moment I feel like it's the only thing that's keeping me sane and makes me actually genuinely feel happy.

I did Combat 84 this morning. Not as hard work as 83 but still good. I really love Attack 109 with Bevan and George. I thought I had got away with not doing plyo lunges until they pulled them out of no where for track 9!

Cocacola12 · 14/02/2021 16:11

I did BC82 this morning, love combat when I’m feeling rubbish as it help punch out frustration! I like 82 as no burpees/sprawls...but still always get a huge burn according to my Fitbit.

MsMartini · 14/02/2021 17:10

I pick a different politician to punch each time I do Combat. Does wonders for my sanity and happiness

Cocacola12 · 15/02/2021 16:06

Pump 107 again today. Definitely feeling an improvement in my body through doing it 3-4 times a week, rather than just cardio all week. 7.5kg lost since Jan 2nd Grin

jerometheturnipking · 15/02/2021 16:19

Wow that's huge @Cocacola12!

I did BC 82 today, tomorrow will be an active rest day after 2x attack, 2x combat. My last rest day turned into 3 hours of shovelling snow so I think I'm needing it now!

Pebbledashery · 15/02/2021 17:00

I did body attack 100 again this morning, I had a huge pizza yesterday so I did body combat 58 this afternoon as well. So annoying it's only 30 minutes long. They need to put the older releases on the app as they are so fab.

sociallydistained · 15/02/2021 17:27

Full weekend off slobbing and eating valentines chocolate and a day off work today but an assignment to write. Naturally avoiding doing too much assignment means I threw myself into exercise so did Attack 109 followed by Pump 114 Metabolic Blast. Really loved both and a great start to the week 💪🏼

I’ve always done Pump but it’s probably been the one I’ve been least consistent with but I’m trying to change that as I feel I get the biggest results from it. A few weeks of doing it consistently I can already feel changes and that bad is going up quicker on clean & press on the back track, yay.

Cocacola12 · 15/02/2021 17:28

I love bc58 @Pebbledashery ! The Dutch guy that does the track 5 is so motivational. “I give you Dutch power” 😂

sociallydistained · 15/02/2021 17:28

...*Bar!

Cocacola12 · 15/02/2021 17:29

@jerometheturnipking thanks 😊 I do have quite a lot of weight to lose so guess it’s coming off quicker to start...

ilovetomatoes · 15/02/2021 17:44

Did Shabam 40 tonight. First time doing shabam. Was feeling really unmotivated so thought doing something totally different would help. It was good fun, I enjoyed it but not sure how often I’ll do it. Probably on days like today where I’m feeling really rubbish and doing something is better than nothing!
