Has anyone tried Sharny & Julius?

I keep seeing their adverts on Facebook. I have diastasis recti and an umbilical hernia. Had physio a few years ago which helped a lot but I've lost a lot of core muscle strength since then. Considering this but wondered if anyone had tried it and what your thoughts are?

It's the Strong Core Pelvic Floor course I'm considering.

I just came on here to find out the exact same thing! Can't see any bad reviews about it online, but that make me cynical! Would love to hear from someone who has signed up and tried it?

Tryingtogetitright · 29/05/2020 07:19

Hmmmmm suspiciously quiet ndo4000! I'm tempted to sign up for it anyway - it's not that expensive is it? Might just take a chance. If I do I'll update on here how I get on.

Yes - that's weird, isn't it? Somebody on MN must have signed up?!?! Hmm

I've been doing Joe Wicks 7 days of sweat, which is good, but am worried I might have a slight diastasis Recti so I was looking for something safer to do.....

Let me know if you sign up?

Rexi1977 · 01/06/2020 18:05

Hi have you signed up ? Really interested is well 🙌😘

Tryingtogetitright · 01/06/2020 18:24

Watching as I’ve been looking at it too.

Rexi1977 · 02/06/2020 08:17

Thankyou if I go for it I will let you know xx

Drknittingfrog · 12/06/2020 10:10

Thinking about it too but can't really find any feedback on it anywhere...

MushroomTree · 21/06/2020 12:17

Also came on here with this exact question. $49 doesn't seem too bad as a one off and I'm hoping spending money will actually make me do it.

Also can't find any bad reviews which makes me more suspicious than if I'd found some saying it hadn't worked.

Has anyone signed up yet?

Rexi1977 · 21/06/2020 15:21

No not signed up literally no one has ???

MushroomTree · 21/06/2020 16:52

I'm debating it. It works out as about £33. But what do you actually get? The website shows a picture of a box. Is it a DVD? I'm also looking at the core strength one.

SaturnyC · 21/06/2020 18:04

Anyone buy it yet? :)

MushroomTree · 22/06/2020 16:33

I'm going to wait until pay day and give it a try. Reading through the comments on their Facebook page you don't physically get anything, it's all online and via their Facebook group.

I'm interested to see what you have to do for 5-10 minutes a day that's really going to make a difference.

SaturnyC · 22/06/2020 18:36

I bought it. Only watched the introduction videos so far. Will report back.

MushroomTree · 22/06/2020 20:11

Please do @SaturnyC. I really don't want to waste the money if it turns out to be a load of old rubbish or actually you have to do hours of exercise a day to get results.

Rexi1977 · 22/06/2020 20:36

Can’t wait to hear what you think 🙌

ndo4000 · 24/06/2020 17:14

So @SaturnyC is it worth getting it?

Sat2020 · 28/06/2020 07:16

I bought it. Haven’t actually started yet, disappointed with the ‘food plan’ which wasn’t really so put me off, but there are videos for exercise to follow most days. Def not just ten minutes later on though!

MushroomTree · 30/06/2020 09:01

@Sat2020 how long are the exercise videos? And what does the food plan actually consist of?

I thought I read on her page that the Strong Core doesn't come with a full meal plan but the Fit Mom does.

Cauterize · 30/06/2020 09:05

I bought this a year or so ago and the food plan really put me off, really awful. I think there's a reason that she's so skinny....
I don't think I've logged into it since then but I'll see if I can get back in to it to see if it's improved

Cauterize · 30/06/2020 09:45

I've logged back into it. If you want them to write a meal plan for you it's $497!

There are a lot of videos to watch and I think this is why I lost interest with it. Plus the meal plans consist mostly of green vegetables.

For example - breakfast, 2 boiled eggs and unlimited green veggies
Lunch - 2-3 cups of mixed veggies with salmon or chicken
Dinner - chicken with unlimited green veggies...
if you still feel hungry (no shit) you can eat as many green veggies as you want!

I can't comment on the exercise plans as I haven't watched them but of course you're going to lose shed loads of weight if you're just eating (mostly) green vegetables!

You have to do an 8 week detox first, so that's no carbs, grains, sugar or dairy and she says in one of the videos that you have to get away from eating for any kind of pleasure, not being bothered about what food tastes like or for entertainment. Basically you need to have an iron willpower which I just don't have and I knew I'd be utterly miserable trying to live on rabbit food for the rest of my life. Even after the 8 weeks of VERY basic food, I think you're only allowed one meal a week which can be of the 'heathy junk food' variety. I think I just love food too much to be able to stick to something like this. I think fasting is a good alternative and then you can still eat foods you like.

She's very thin (even gaunt looking in some of the videos) and I think it's obvious why.

Tryingtogetitright · 30/06/2020 13:40

Ceikey Cauterize, that doesn't sound sustainable at all! I like a green vegetable but not for every meal! I definitely won't bother with that one! It's the strong core one I'm really interested in but I lack willpower and I think just ordering it won't have the desired effect!

Pelvic floor adverts have been plaguing my Facebook recently. What do they know that I don’t?!

I thought this one looked interesting but didn’t sign up. She says somewhere it takes you to stage 5 of pelvic floor control and most women start at 2 before pregnancy. I kind of like the idea of a pelvic floor of steel! Suspicious of whether it really is only 10 mins per day.

Another ad I saw was for a pelvic trainer that connects to a game in your phone which flies a space ship. Looks fun but much more expensive.

MushroomTree · 30/06/2020 20:57

@Cauterize I suspected that's what the meal plan would look like. There's no way you look like she does and still eat burgers...

It was more the exercise I was interested in. I don't believe that in just 5-10 minutes a day you'll make a huge difference to your pelvic floor or anything else for that matter.
