Happy New Year! I’m starting a nice shiny new thread to keep track of my 2020 exercise goals. Please feel free to join me.

My goals are:

  1. To do some exercise on at least 250 days during 2020;
  2. To do at least 200 hours of exercise.

Hmmm, my post yesterday seems not to have posted. Thanks for the good wishes, all went fine. I was glad of the rest day on Thursday though. I did my hill run yesterday which felt good. Today was spent up and down hills with my brownies. I'm bloody exhausted so not doing anything this evening except enjoy the couch!

Days exercised 50.

SophieLion · 08/03/2020 11:42

Day 25 of yoga challenge plus pilates for core,
Arms and lower body.

Glad all went well MotherForkin Smile

Dats exercised: 56

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 08/03/2020 16:07

Thanks Sophie.

Run first thing this morning. I felt incredibly hungover even though I didn't have a drop to drink yesterday Confused. Managed to go slightly longer and a teeny bit faster though which was a bonus.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 09/03/2020 12:26

Short run and strength and conditioning class this morning.

Days exercised 52.

SophieLion · 09/03/2020 15:50

Maybe it was just tiredness after your procedure MotherForkin?

A short (but intense) session today as had a meeting: Ripped in 30 L3 plus some pilates for core.

Days exercised: 57

OublietteBravo · 09/03/2020 20:20

Back to exercising after my test day. 30DS L1D6 & KB&T L2D6 (65 min).

Turns out it was the build up to a migraine, Sophie. I love my brain Hmm

SophieLion · 10/03/2020 08:26

Oh no SadHope you feel better today MotherForkin Thanks Are you a migraine sufferer or do you get them only rarely?

Extreme shed and shred L1 plus a bit of pilates.

Days exercised: 58

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 10/03/2020 16:17

I am the queen of minor maladies at the moment, Sophie Blush. I get migraines every 6 weeks or so. The headache isn't too bad but it can last a few days which is wearing and I've a couple of days of feeling hungover before and after. Luckily I don't get the need to lie in a darkened room ones.

Anyway, I went swimming today. Managed 1.25km.

OublietteBravo · 10/03/2020 19:31

Migraines suck. Fortunately I don’t get them very often, and usually (but not always) I get the visual disturbance symptoms without the pain.

Ri30 L3D1 and KAbs L2D1 (60 min). Only an hour, but a pretty hardcore workout. I don’t think I’ve done this level of Killer Abs before, but I actually really like it.

5km interval run plus some pilates

All our schools are closed for the next two weeks so I hope I will manage to keep up with my exercise programme.

Strength and conditioning this morning. I was planning an easy jog while ds is at scouts but some very wintery rain has arrived so I'm not sure I'm brave enough!

Lots of rumours about schools closing here on Friday, Sophie and not to open again until after the Easter holidays .

Days exercised 54

OublietteBravo · 11/03/2020 19:40

An extremely reluctant KB&T L1 (40 min). I almost took today as a rest day - but I’m glad I didn’t.

(57/193; 57h 45min)

No school closures here yet. Easter holidays start on 27 March, and we’ve already had an email from the headmaster asking if families can take the boarders from China/HK who aren’t going home as they usually would. DD has GCSEs this summer - there are already rumours that they might be delayed.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 12/03/2020 14:57

School closure announced this morning...from 6pm today til 29th March. I've got cabin fever at the thought of it!

Anyway, hill run at lunchtime. I had an early work start so I hadn't eaten anything before the run and I really felt the difference. And my ass is killing me after my class yesterday Blush

Days exercised 55.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 12/03/2020 18:07

my s&c class and the gym have been closed. I'm never going to survive two weeks of family time!

OublietteBravo · 12/03/2020 19:51

Still business as normal here. Although I’m expecting to be told to WFH as a precaution pretty soon. I doubt the office will still be open this time next week.

A slightly longer session than yesterday. NMTZ (50 min). Still feeling a bit tired.

Pleased I managed to squeeze in some exercise : day 26 yoga challenge and a bit of pilates.

At least the yoga helped me relax a bit - going a little crazy with all children at home and having to monitor them and play teacher as necessary.

Days exercised: 60

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 13/03/2020 14:59

I had another early work start so after a long week I bunked off and took the kids hill walking for a couple of hours. It was good to get out and the few people we met were keeping as far from us as we were from them! The emailed school work will start on Monday.

Days exercised 56

OublietteBravo · 13/03/2020 20:34

This evening’s logistics mean that I’m taking today as a rest day.

My company is instructing all office-based staff to WFH from Tuesday. My department have told me to WFH from now, and to be prepared to do so until at least Easter. So I brought 2 huge bags of paperwork home and ordered a 27” monitor. I’m definitely going to need to keep exercising to stay sane.

Good luck with the working at home Oubliette and good luck for the home schooling MotherForkin.

Just managed a 5km interval run plus pilates for arms, legs, core and glutes (I'm following a 30 days challenge). Feels so good to do exercise so I'm going to try to keep to my routine of doing it every morning - just helps me feel more able to tackle the home schooling day ahead!!!
