Happy New Year! I’m starting a nice shiny new thread to keep track of my 2020 exercise goals. Please feel free to join me.

My goals are:

  1. To do some exercise on at least 250 days during 2020;
  2. To do at least 200 hours of exercise.

Ripped in 30 L4 and day 11 of yoga challenge (just over an hour all in all).

Days exercised: 41

SophieLion · 19/02/2020 07:11

Six week six pack L2. Think I chose too heavy a weight as feel wrecked now. Also wondering if I'll ever be able to do the plank moguls without stopping several times.

Days exercised: 42

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 19/02/2020 08:34

I don't think I even want to know what a plank mogul is,. Sophie!

Horribly long day yesterday so didn't do anything. Run today.

Days exercised 37

OublietteBravo · 19/02/2020 10:15

You can modify plank moguls by combining them with plank jacks if need be (Jillian does the combination move in a different DVD). So you do 2 plank jacks and then a mogul each side, then repeat. It’s a biteasier than straight plank moguls. What weights did you use @SophieLion? I don’t tend to go any heavier than 1.5kg for 6W6P.

That's a good idea for the moguls Oubliette. Will try that next time.

Well usually with 6W6P I use 3.5kg or maybe 4 (depending on the exercise and how I feel) but today I started with 4kg and then decided to use 5kg for the second time round (on the basis that I didn't want to couldn't go any faster the second time so would use a heavier weight instead). Perhaps I should have gone lighter Blush

I have 1.5kg weights, 3.5, 4 and 5.

SophieLion · 19/02/2020 10:58

Hi MotherForkin! didn't spot your message there.

Perhaps better you don't know what a plank mogul is Grin You are basically in plank and jump both legs together up to one elbow, then jump back to plank and then jump both legs to the other elbow. Well that's the idea anyway!!! They are v hard and you can modify by just jumping both legs a bit to the side rather than all the way to the elbow (and I couldn't do the modification either without stopping!!!)

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 19/02/2020 17:22

Oh, I have done them...they are evil! The strength and conditioning class I go to builds them into circuits some days.

OublietteBravo · 19/02/2020 19:42

Back to exercising after 4 rest days. Ri30 L2D6 & Killer Abs L1D6 (65 min). I expect I’ll ache a bit tomorrow.

One hour of yoga today (days 12 and 13 of the challenge).

Strangely my legs and glutes felt sore after 6W6P yesterday but not my abs Confused

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 20/02/2020 18:44

Swimming today, 1km.

OublietteBravo · 20/02/2020 21:26

A rather reluctant 30DS L3D4 & KB&T L2D2 (65 min). Definitely feeling a bit tired and unenthusiastic.

5km interval run ad 30 mins yoga (day 15 of the challenge).

Tomorrow will be a rest day because we're travelling.

Days exercised: 44

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 21/02/2020 18:01

I'm away for the weekend so I'm going reasonably easy and did 30mins of a YouTube hiit thing in the hotel gym. Now my weary muscles deserve something multicolored in a fancy glass. Happy weekend! 😊🍹

OublietteBravo · 21/02/2020 19:26

I’m feeling tired, so only did 50 minutes of exercise this evening: NMTZ

(41/209; 41h 40min)

That sounds nice @MotherForkinShirtBalls - I quite fancy something multicoloured in a fancy glass. But probably not enough to actually open the mysterious bottle of blue curaçao which has been a fixture in our cupboard since before DD was born (DD is currently 15 and revising for GCSEs). Grin

Vary tired hungover this morning and couldn't face the thought of weights so I did an easy 55 minutes on the cross trainer watching the finale of Next in Fashion. Beautiful clothes made it much more bearable.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 23/02/2020 11:23

Strider and some weights today.

Days exercised 41

SophieLion · 23/02/2020 14:45

Day 16 of the yoga challenge plus 40 mins pilates focussed on butt and arms.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend away MotherForkin!

Rest day yesterday (due to picking up children). A somewhat reluctant session this evening: Ri30 L2D7 & Killer Abs L1D7 (65 min)

OP posts:
SophieLion · 24/02/2020 10:59

30 mins in cross trainer (first time I used one. It was interesting - not sure if I did it right or not!). 15 mins treadmill and then strength for abs and arms/back.

Days exercised:46

OublietteBravo · 24/02/2020 19:46

30DS L1D5 & KB&T L2D5 (65 min). That was hard - I definitely need a shower!

Working late tonight so I'm not going to get anything done today. Not terribly sorry, I'm bloody exhausted for some reason (probably a delayed hangover Blush )

SophieLion · 25/02/2020 17:24

4 hours of skiing today. I'm shattered. Not normally like this. I blame the cross trainer Grin

Days exercised : 47

OublietteBravo · 25/02/2020 19:36

4 hours of skiing sounds fairly hardcore. How were the conditions?

Just done Ri30 L2D8 & Killer Abs L1D8 (65 min)

(44/206; 44h 55min)
