Exercising into a new decade - AKA New Year-athon 2020

Happy New Year! I’m starting a nice shiny new thread to keep track of my 2020 exercise goals. Please feel free to join me.

My goals are:

  1. To do some exercise on at least 250 days during 2020;
  2. To do at least 200 hours of exercise.

Hi everyone,I'm on my new diet I started 12 days ago I've lost 10 pounds, I've been excise,biking,walking,watching youtube vidio and doing 20min in the Moring and 20 at night. Has anyone tried the EGG DIET! I'm on my second day today my doctor said to do it for a week as I'm a big ish lady I've been eating eggs ,veg salda and loads of watter and only lost 2 pounds in 2 days. Has anyone else tried it I dont snack or anything

Hi @katey2020 - never tried the egg diet. I don't diet as a rule but just try to eat as healthily as I can. The exercise is obviously working for you though; 10lbs off in 12 days is awesome!

BR WO6 done today. Think WO6 is my favourite so far.

Lot of eggs because I love them. Good luck with the diet!

5kM run (didn't enjoy at all - my legs felt like sacks of potatoes) plus a bit of strength for abs and arms/back.

@katey2020 - I can’t advise on the diet front. I only have enough willpower for exercise or diet - I choose exercise!

Respect for getting right back to it with double JM Oubliette. I don't think I will ever be able to do any of her workouts back to back!

20 minute walk with Leslie while our work systems were down this morning and BR cardio 2 done.

45 mins yoga for stretching and flexibility (much needed!) plus Strength for arms/back, abs and butt - i'm doing 3 of lily sabri's challenges.

One hour of various lilly sabri for abs, arms, back and butt. Some of her latest abs workouts have such tough exercises. She really comes up with interesting combinations. I have/had diastasis recti after my last pregnancy and lilly is totally sorting it out!!

Couldn’t face Jillian’s cardio today so did a 5 mile “Walk with Leslie”. Fitbit tells me I burnt 524 calories 😊

I did bits of walking, trampling (with the kids) and cycling yesterday but nothing proper so I won't count it.

Weights this morning. I feel like I've made more progress in three weeks of one to one than i did in all the zoom during lockdown.

How reliable do you find your fit bit, roonetta? I got a polar watch with built in heart rate monitor to try to keep track but I'm not sure if it wildly overestimates my activity. I've been hitting 120% plus of my recommended target every day for the last week but it doesn't really feel like I'm doing that much (and still not dropping any weight Hmm )
