Happy New Year! I’m starting a nice shiny new thread to keep track of my 2020 exercise goals. Please feel free to join me.

My goals are:

  1. To do some exercise on at least 250 days during 2020;
  2. To do at least 200 hours of exercise.

One hour of pilates for whole body. Feeling rather sore. My butt and thighs were already hurting from lots of squats I did yesterday. Interesting how doing something you haven't done for ages activities all different kinds of muscles.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 23/07/2020 23:26

Swimming and a 10km walk today.

Days exercised 156.

SophieLion · 24/07/2020 12:27

Ooo 10 km is a long walk MotherForkin m. Did you plan your route or was it just a long long walk?

5km interval run plus strength for abs, back, arms and butt.

Days exercised 165

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 24/07/2020 13:57

I was meeting a friend, Sophie, so I decided to walk to where she was. I needed a bit of headspace so it worked out well. I'm not great at just going for a walk, but I'll happily walk to a destination/ for a purpose.

4km run this morning and some half hearted weights. Trainer is on holidays this week and motivation to complete the last day of the week's programme was low Blush

Days exercised 157.

OublietteBravo · 24/07/2020 19:41

I had an unplanned rest day yesterday. This evening I've done KAbs L2 and 6W6P L2 (60 min)

Hi everyone 🙂 I have been lurking on various Jillian Michaels’ threads to give me the inspiration to keep going on my fitness journey. Started 30DS during May and recently completed RI30 and have this last week begun Body Revolution. You lot are so inspiring you have no idea.
@oubliettebravo I am in awe of you! I have seen you on various threads and you have been slogging away at JM’s workouts for years. I don’t know how you find the motivation to stick at it. YOU GO GIRL!

SophieLion · 26/07/2020 17:20

Hear hear Roonetta! Oubliette is so motivated with her HIIT and very inspiring. As is MotherForkin. It's great to have exercise buddies. Bravo to us all! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Will you be joining us on this thread Roonetta?

Just did a 5km interval run plus strength for abs, arms and shoulders and (under!)butt.

Days exercised 167

Ps going to an island with DCs now until Friday so no more exercise until Saturday

roonetta · 26/07/2020 19:20

Thanks for the lovely welcome @SophieLion. For the record I think you are ALL awesome and have really helped keep me going these past couple of months 😁. I would love to join you on the thread, although won’t begin to pretend I will keep up with you all.

I started BR last week. Founds Phase 1 workouts 1 and 2 quite easy so am bumping straight up to workouts 3 and 4 from tomorrow. I might regret it but time will tell. Did NMTZ on Saturday and rest day for me today.

Will be great to have somewhere to log my progress and peo0le to be accountable to 😊

roonetta · 26/07/2020 19:21

P.s enjoy your break with the DCs @SophieLion 😀

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 26/07/2020 21:27

Welcome roonetta Smile having accountability buddies (accountabilabuddies??) really helps keep me on track.

That said, today was an unplanned rest day after a planned one yesterday Blush. Back on it tomorrow. Have a lovely trip Sophie.

roonetta · 27/07/2020 11:48

Hi MotherForkinShirtBalls! Thanks for the welcome Smile

Grin at accountabilabuddies

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 27/07/2020 11:53

Weights this morning. My trainer has switched up how she's doing things as she and others are going on holidays over the next few weeks. It's a prerecorded programme rather than zoom classes. I'm not sure I have the discipline for it...

I'll drag the kids out for a run or cycle later now that it seems to have stopped raining for a bit.

Days exercised 158

roonetta · 27/07/2020 14:20

BR Phase 1 workout 3 done. Not too bad. Am dreading what’s to come in the later workouts though.

Do you do free weights MotherForkin? Would like to lift heavier but 2kg is as much as I can manage for a JM workout.

Hope you enjoy your run/cycle and the rain stays off. We have just had a massive shower here. Props to you for being able to get the kids to agree to leave the house. I can barely get mine out of their pyjamas! 🙄

OublietteBravo · 28/07/2020 08:16

Hi @roonetta - I don’t know how I find the motivation either! I’ve just learnt to make myself exercise no matter what. Welcome to the thread - it sounds like you’re doing really well with your own exercise journey.

I completely forget to post yesterday. I did exercise though: 30DS L2 and KB&T L1 (65 min)

(154/96; 154h 00min)

Thanks for the welcome @OublietteBravo Grin

roonetta · 28/07/2020 13:50

BR phase 1 WO4 done 😊

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 28/07/2020 19:04

Swimming today. I was planning a run but I've just eaten a lot slice of birthday cake instead Blush

roonetta, yes, I use free weights. A couple of years ago I was doing some Olympic lifting which had me the most toned of my life but my current PT was only setting up her studio before covid hit and she hadn't got her weights racks, etc yet. Fingers crossed in the next couple of months I'll be back to it. At home I have a light bar and some hand weights so I move the plates between them. I vary between 8 and 22 kg depending on what I'm doing.

Days exercised 159.

OublietteBravo · 28/07/2020 19:59

A very reluctant abs session this evening. Both levels of 6W6P (65 min)

(155/95; 155h 05min)

OP posts:
roonetta · 28/07/2020 20:51

Birthday cake has less calories doesn’t it @MotherForkinShirtBalls? 😜

22kg!!! My eyes are watering. I ordered some 5kg a couple of weeks ago and was horrified at how heavy they were when they arrived. Have just ordered some 3kg to replace them. Hopefully I will work my way up to the 5kg. My resistance cable arrived today so I can do all the moves in BR properly. No phoning it in 😁

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 29/07/2020 11:37

Even I can't convince myself of that roonetta, it was chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and white chocolate Swiss meringue butter cream Blush

Hill run this morning. I haven't done it in ages so it was hard! I have an appointment later so will walk there and back for a total of about 5km too.

Days exercised 160.

roonetta · 29/07/2020 14:13

OMG MotherForkin that sounds amazing! I don't think I would have stopped at one slice Blush Well done on the hill run! You would have worked all that cake off already Grin

BR Cardio 1 done. I hate running man Angry. Felt nicely out of puff though.

OublietteBravo · 29/07/2020 19:41

I really fancy cake now. Fortunately we don’t have any. I persuaded both the DC to come out for a walk this evening. Then I did 30DS L2 and KB&T L1 (65 min) once we got home.
