Exercising into a new decade - AKA New Year-athon 2020

Happy New Year! I’m starting a nice shiny new thread to keep track of my 2020 exercise goals. Please feel free to join me.

My goals are:

  1. To do some exercise on at least 250 days during 2020;
  2. To do at least 200 hours of exercise.

Strength for abs and butt and then a Cat Meffan yoga flow.

We're away next week so anticipate no exercise again until next weekend. Hopefully the treadmill will be fixed by then.

I was thinking about a swap but not much point when I out myself on my first post Grin

Rest day for me, most I did was a swim in the sea with the DC. It was the coldest I've ever felt!

Mobility flow with a lot of core work.

My legs are aching from weighted walking lunges yesterday.

I hope your dinner is less hazardous than mine, Oubliette...I knelt down to get something from a low cupboard when my knee exploded in a fiery ball of pain Sad came out of absolutely nowhere, I went for a run at lunchtime and it was fine. I'll be having a few days' rest I think...

I had an unplanned rest day yesterday - mostly because the kids were spread over the living room floor playing a complicated board game.

It’s warm this evening, so I just did a short strength session: NMTZ (50 min)

How was your holiday, Sophie?

My knee gave an unmerciful crack as I sat down last night and now it's fine Confused I've no idea what happened! I'd been icing it and resting which obviously did no harm. I tried a low impact barre class today which was good for a change. I had a bit of an ache in my knee but it felt more like it was bruised than properly damaged, if that makes sense. Either way, fingers crossed!

Unplanned rest day yesterday. Weights this morning. It's a week since my last class and I could really feel missing the few days. But my swimming pool reopens today! I'm so excited, I'm going for a leisurely swim at lunch. Can't wait to be back in the water!

Ah, that makes sense. Shame you can't exercise when you're away.

Swim was fantastic. I wasn't sure i was going to make it to the end of the fifth length but by 10 it felt great so I did a leisurely 40.
