OublietteBravo · 01/01/2020 16:31

Happy New Year! I’m starting a nice shiny new thread to keep track of my 2020 exercise goals. Please feel free to join me.

My goals are:

  1. To do some exercise on at least 250 days during 2020;
  2. To do at least 200 hours of exercise.

Grin - I have plenty of house left to decorate. Another 15 rooms (not included the hallways/landings).

I did Ri30 L4D8 and 6W6P L1 (65 min) this evening. Feeling tired now.

Wow! That's a lot of rooms Oubliette! And a lot of doors Grin

Yoga flow this morning and then strength for abs, arms and back.

Days exercised: 130

OublietteBravo · 03/06/2020 19:11

Yes. Lots of rooms - all of which need decorating (unless granny chic is going to make a sudden comeback). We have a three-storey, seven-bedroom Edwardian semi. Which is usually much bigger than we need. Although I’m really appreciating the extra space this year. No one has to work in their bedroom or the kitchen or the lounge.

My right hamstring feels a bit sore, so I did Killer Abs L1&L2 (60 min)

(115/135; 115h 05min)

An Edwardian pile, I'm jealous, Oubliette.

I was exhausted yesterday so I took a rest day. I did a short run this morning followed by mobility flow. Although it's becoming more of an intense core workout than a gentle movement class!

Days exercised 120.

OublietteBravo · 04/06/2020 19:14

DH was too tired to exercise yesterday as well @MotherForkinShirtBalls. He reckoned it was down to the change in the weather.

I’m almost there with Ri30 - just done L4D9. As well as 6W6P L2 (60 min)

Sounds like a lovely house Oubliette. Did you move in recently (because you mention you bed to decorate a lot of rooms)?

Today did strength for underbutt, abs and arms.

Days exercised 131

SophieLion · 05/06/2020 07:10

*have (not bed Confused)

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 05/06/2020 09:30

Weights class done. Instructor has upped the ante at the same time I added more weight to my dumbbells. If it doesn't kill me it actually will make me stronger!

Sophie, did you get to your appointment for your knee yesterday?

Happy weekend.

Days exercised 121.

SophieLion · 05/06/2020 10:13

Ah it's good to be pushed a bit MotherForkin!

Sweet of you to remember re orthopaedic. Went yesterday. He said injury to knee caused by injury to muscles on the hip / top of thigh on that leg (an exercise i did with the resistance band too tight) which put my whole leg out and knee (because it has a weakness) and from that I started putting more pressure on other leg which made quadricep on the bad leg weaker which in turn puts more pressure on that knee. Bit of a vicious circle really.

Hope I explained that well!!! I have to do strengthening exercises 3 or 4 times a day on that quadricep and walk around the house with a 1 kg weight on that leg. He also gave me a hyaluronic acid injection in the knee and I go back in 3 weeks.
Thank you for asking Smile

OublietteBravo · 05/06/2020 19:20

@SophieLion - we’ve lived here since 2013. I’m just not very motivated when it comes to decorating. Plus 2013 was also the year we started paying school fees - it’s taken a while to have disposable income again.

Finished Ri30 (L4D10). Plus I did the cardio circuit from 1WS (60 min)

Ah I see oubliette. House sounds gorgeous still!

Gentle 6km run for me today.

132 days

OublietteBravo · 06/06/2020 09:49

I got exercising out of the way first thing (I had to make sure DS was up in time for Saturday school at 08:40 - somehow this is harder for virtual school than for real school). Cardio: BFBM (50 min)

(118/132; 117h 55min)

5km run plus strength for abs and butt.

133 days

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 08/06/2020 14:27

Sounds like you have a good treatment plan in place, Sophie, I hope it works well for you.

I had an exercise free weekend. It was dd's birthday and it turns out a virtual party for 12 is as much work as a real life one!

I had my weights class this morning. Elevated split squats with a 10kg dumbbell really challenge the core!

Days exercised 122.

Planned rest day yesterday. Back to exercising this evening. 6W6P L2 and KB&T L3 (70 min)

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 09/06/2020 11:59

Core and mobility this morning. I'll be dragging the children out for a run or cycle later.

Days exercised 123.

OublietteBravo · 09/06/2020 20:17

I was very tempted to have a rest day as my hayfever way awful after my walk. But I didn’t. I persisted and did KB&T L1 and 6W6P L1 (75 min)

(120/130; 120h 20min)

How's the knee Sophie?

Days exercised 125.

OublietteBravo · 11/06/2020 18:48

Killer Abs L1&L2 (60 min). It seems like a bit of a slog at the moment.

SophieLion · 12/06/2020 07:49

I think it's slowly improving MotherForkin.
Some exercises/positions seem to make it really hurt so must ask doc when I go back. Running is ok luckily if I don't go too fast. Thanks for asking Smile

Strength for whole body for me today. Feeling a bit wobbly now.

Days exercised 136

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 12/06/2020 12:10

Glad it's going the right way, Sophie but it's so easy to do something slightly different and feel it again. My hip has been bad this week. I remembered to put my resistance band around my knees today to remind me not to go too wide on squats, I'll have to make sure I do it more often.

Weights this morning and virtual sports day with the kids. I've done two rounds of ball skills and a dance class. I think I'm going for a lie down while they do their yoga!
