OublietteBravo · 01/01/2020 16:31

Happy New Year! I’m starting a nice shiny new thread to keep track of my 2020 exercise goals. Please feel free to join me.

My goals are:

  1. To do some exercise on at least 250 days during 2020;
  2. To do at least 200 hours of exercise.

I did BFBM (50 min) this morning.

No I haven't seen an orthopaedic yet. DH thinks I should wait. I also giggled at sweating rose Grin

Still taking the it easy with exercise. Did strength for abs and butt (but modified it all so as to accommodate my knee). DH commented that my stomach is looking toned so that was nice Smile

No matter how much exercise I do, I love sugar too much to ever have a toned tummy...I admire your will power Sophie!

I've done a lot of cycling today. I had to pick up something this morning so I cycled. The hills are much easier in the car! Then dd and I went to explore a park near us we've shamefully never been to before and had a long, thankfully flat, ride. I need a more comfortable saddle!

Days exercised 111.

SophieLion · 24/05/2020 19:30

Another days of strength for abs, back and arms. My knee is feeling stronger so I might try a gentle run tomorrow and see what happens.

I get really bad saddle sore every time we bike (even if it's just around the block) MotherForkin. Alas with everything opening up here (2 of mine back at school already), the roads are no longer quiet enough for cycling.

As for my tummy, well this girl lilly sabri that I've been doing on you tube has some excellent abs workouts. I feel she achieves a lot in just 5 mins as long as you do it most days. She always says she targets all 4 layers of the abs (didn't know there were so many layers) so maybe that's why I've seen such good results.

Weights class this morning and a couple of hours in the garden before it got too hot.

5km gentle run plus some abs. Felt so good to be doing cardio again. My knee also feels ok at the moment Smile

SophieLion · 26/05/2020 18:39

A gentle yoga flow (still a bit wary of knee) plus strength for abs

Days exercised 124

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 26/05/2020 18:44

Glad your knee is a bit more stable Sophie.

I had a short run and mobility flow today. I'm a week of annual leave (booked pre covid). I'm bloody exhausted, nearly glad the course I was supposed to do has been cancelled!

Days exercised 113.

SophieLion · 27/05/2020 07:39

Thank you MotherForkin. Hope you manage to get some rest in on your week off.

Oubliette hasn't posted for a few days. Hope all ok at her end. Is it half term week in UK?*

5km gentle run for me today plus a quick session for arms.

Days exercised: 125

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 27/05/2020 23:39

Strength and conditioning today. It was very hot and sweaty.

How's your knee after the run Sophie?

OublietteBravo · 28/05/2020 09:03

I took some holiday (obviously I didn’t go anywhere - although I did decorate another room). So I’ve had 4 consecutive rest days. I’m planning on exercising this evening.

Hi Oubliette! Sounds like you've been having a very busy holiday.

Thanks for asking MotherForkin. It's still not right and so tried to make an appointment with orthopaedic today but secretary didn't pick up. Will call tomorrow. Perhaps I'm being paranoid but I get very touchy with my knee.

Today did strength for arms and abs and general upper body and then some yoga. Going to end up super toned waist up and like a wobbly jelly below the waist Grin

OublietteBravo · 28/05/2020 19:56

I did it - even though it was hot and my motivation was mediocre! Ri30 L4D7 & 6W6P L2 (60 min).

Well done Oubliette. I'm having a rest day and a beer. Hope you get through to the orthopaedic person soon Sophie.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 29/05/2020 13:48

Weights this morning, a new routine which 2as hard but good.

Happy weekend! (Bank holiday here on Monday so lovely long one for the sunshine Smile)

OublietteBravo · 29/05/2020 19:09

Just a short strength session: NMTZ (50 min)

(112/138; 112h 00min)

SophieLion · 30/05/2020 10:39

7km run. Probably shouldn't have run that far with a dodgy knee....
Going to see orthopaedic on Thursday.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 30/05/2020 19:05

Hope your knee takes your run well, Sophie.

I needed to get out but wasn't in the humour to run so I went for a short cycle. And we had a really fun water fight with the kids, which meant a lot of sprinting around the garden Grin

Days exercised 116

SophieLion · 31/05/2020 10:07

Water fight sounds fun!!!! Weather has gone crazy here. We had hail the other day Confused

Yoga flow today plus strength for arms, back and abs

Days exercised 128

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 31/05/2020 16:39

Water fight was fun! There's a plan for another tomorrow Smile

I went for my hill run this morning. I was later than I planned and it was a bit busier than ideal so I didnt go too far. Glad I did it though. I've spent the rest of the day digging in the garden accompanied by some very curious robins and a couple of utterly beautiful blue tit fledglings. I moved our bigger and fuller than I realised compost bin from one side of the garden to the other (the birds were delighted with their pickings) and then dug a very big hole for a new type of composter. My shoulders will be sore tomorrow!

Days exercised 117.

SophieLion · 31/05/2020 17:53

It sounds so lovely where you live MotherForkin Smile** not quite the same but we have a pair of swallows who have made a nest just by our garage door

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 01/06/2020 14:26

It's easy to sound idyllic in a couple of sentences, Sophie! We are lucky though, it's a nice area and we have loads of amenities close by. My in laws have house martins and swallows. I love watching them swooping around in the evenings.

I had my weights class this morning just finished my garden project. Robin is annoyed there are fewer pickings today!

I had 2 rest days over the weekend lazily decorating my bedroom. Back to a full week of work and (hopefully) a full week of exercising. Yoga inferno - both workouts (60 min)

Ah lovely photo MorherForkin Smile

Sounds like you're on a decorating mission Oubliette!

5km interval run plus strength for abs

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 02/06/2020 17:30

Can you come and redecorate my house Oubliette?? Wink

I am sore after all the digging and yesterday's class so I was glad to do my mobility flow this morning to loosen me out.
