Happy New Year! I’m starting a nice shiny new thread to keep track of my 2020 exercise goals. Please feel free to join me.

My goals are:

  1. To do some exercise on at least 250 days during 2020;
  2. To do at least 200 hours of exercise.

7km run. My leg muscles were very sore after extreme shed and shred yesterday so not sure a run was the best idea. Thinking yoga and stretching tomorrow

Days Exercised : 91

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 16/04/2020 20:29

Short run this morning which was hard but I really liked being outside in the cool, bright morning air. My legs are aching too Sophie, my S&c class last night was low impact but really hard work.

Days exercised 84

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 17/04/2020 14:52

S&c class this morning. I've a bad eye infection so planks and press ups were hard. Who knew they put so much pressure on your face??

Happy weekend

I hope your infection clears up soon @MotherForkinShirtBalls

An unplanned rest day yesterday because I was just exhausted. I’m feeling better for it though. This evening I did Ri30 L3D9 & KAbs L2D9 (60 min). I’m definitely ready for a weekend...

I got exercising out of the way first thing - before my motivation had a chance to dissipate. Strength: MNTZ (50 min)

Hope your eye is better soon MotherForkin.

Yesterday I tried yin yoga for the first time. The class was an hour but I'm not sure it's my cup of tea. Although I felt like I'd had a good stretch,
the poses were held for ages and I got a little bored restless. Because each pose was so long, they only through part of my body and not some key stretches I wanted to do for my legs. Clearly I'm not that good at the meditative side of yoga. I'm not counting it in my Exercise days as it didn't feel like a workout at all. I even got chilly and had to put on a jumper.

5km Run today plus pilates for abs and strength for arms.

HIIT today: JM's Hard Body L1

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 20/04/2020 14:48

Belated happy Easter Sophie. Did you have a nice weekend?

I took the weekend off. Between my eye and work (massive project culminating next Saturday so I was working a lot of the weekend) I couldn't face it. But I did my S&c class this morning which was a definite challenge. I feel better for it.

Days exercised 86.

Thank you MotherForkin. It was a very subdued Easter this year. Easter is a bigger holiday for greeks than Christmas. Lots of fireworks at midnight on Saturday which was lovely.

How is your eye now? Hope it's on the mend. Did you go to doctor or self-diagnose? Asking as I also have some redness and swelling in the corner of one eye. Suspect an allergy so putting in the drops I was given last time had allergy and if they don't work will put in some drops for infection and if still not better then will have to brave a doctor.

Bit of a mix today: yoga with Tim session for runners (because my legs were feeling very sore after yesterday's HIIT) then yoga with Cat Meffan strong and slow flow plus pilates with weights for abs and arms.

Days exercised: 94

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 20/04/2020 18:58

The fireworks sound lovely. A nice spark of light at the moment.

I had a video consultation with the gp. I have peri orbital cellulitis. I actually had it earlier in the year in the same eye so I knew what it was as soon as it came back. The gp doubled the antibiotics this time so they have worked quite quickly (my eye is no longer swollen and purple! Just waiting for my cheek to go back to normal) but I have another five days of them to make sure it's gone properly this time. The next step is apparently iv antibiotics so I really want to avoid that!

I hope yours is nothing serious. You never know how much you blink until it hurts to do it, do you? You sound like you have a well stocked first aid kit at home. I had to get a plaster for ds the other day and found a very dusty box along with four half finished bottles of cough syrup, all at least two years out of date! I was never destined to be a nurse Grin

OublietteBravo · 20/04/2020 20:59

Did you dye your eggs red @SophieLion? I have a friend who lives in Alexandroupolis and she was explaining her Easter traditions to me.

I had a “rest” day yesterday. I put an extra coat of paint on the walls of the box room and built some more flat pack furniture. I pretty much have a home office - I expect to be working from there for the foreseeable future.

This evening I did 30DS L3D8 and KB&T L3D4 (65 min)

Ouch that sounds painful MotherForkin. Hope it will be completely gone soon. Do you know how you caught it? Think my eye is an allergy. It's definitely not getting worse(which it would be if an infection) and may be getting better. Hard to tell!
Yes I do have a well stocked first aid cupboard!!! Grin Most medicine (including most antibiotics) you can buy without a prescription here so I tend to keep things in the house.

Hi Oubliette, your office is looking good. Hope it is a productive space for you Smile The green looks a bit more lime-y now. The other day it looked a bit more mint-y.

And yes, red eggs for Easter and you bash them with other people's eggs and see which egg cracks first and who has a winner - a bit like conkers! Alexandroupolis is a loooonnnngggg way from here. Right up in the north east corner of Greece near the border with Turkey. I've never been but heard its very nice around there.

Exercise-wise, one hour of flow yoga (Cat Muffin). Challenging yet I feel stretched and light.

OublietteBravo · 21/04/2020 19:53

I can tell that the days are lengthening. I’m having to time my exercise session to avoid the sun getting in my eyes. I’ve just done Ri30 L3D10 and KAbs L2D10 (60 min)

(86/164; 86h 15min)

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 21/04/2020 21:53

No idea how the infection got in at first Sophie. It's usually from a scratch or a bite but I noticed nothing out of the ordinary. It's a tenacious bugger though so I really hope the drugs nuke it this time. Glad yours isn't getting worse. I hope you find the cause.

I did my mobility flow/yoga class today. It never seems very intense but I end up surprisingly sore by bedtime so it must be doing me some good!

I'm in dire need of a run tomorrow, I need air and movement to counter the endless conference calls....

Days exercised 87

SophieLion · 22/04/2020 16:59

Are you doing yoga on you tube MotherForkin? Just realised I called the instructor I used last time Cat Muffin instead of Cat Meffan !

7km run for me today.

Days exercised : 96

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 22/04/2020 18:38

I'm doing it with the same trainer who does the strength and conditioning, Sophie, she does the classes on zoom.

I went for a short run early this morning, which I really enjoyed. I've just finished work and now that I've sat down for 10 mins it's going to be hard to get up again to do my s&c class at 8!

Days exercised 88.

OublietteBravo · 22/04/2020 20:14

I was tempted to have an evening off. But I didn’t succumb to temptation - although I did only do a short session: KB&T L1 (40 min).

A mixture today: 5km interval run, toning exercises for the underbutt (love that expression Grin) and day 1 of two challenges for abs and arms.

Flow yoga practice plus strength for abs, arms and underbutt Grin

Days exercised: 98

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 24/04/2020 19:30

I think my entire butt is underbutt Sophie 😂

I was shattered yesterday so I took a rest day and just did the mobility stretch class. Today was S&c which was hard.

Long day for work tomorrow so any exercise will depend on if I can drag myself out of bed even earlier than planned so it may not happen.

Days exercised 89

OublietteBravo · 24/04/2020 19:52

I had a rest day yesterday - mostly because the teenagers were actually watching the same thing on TV and I didn’t want to disturb them.

This evening I’ve done 30DS L1D9 and KB&T L3D5 (65 min)

(88/163; 88h 00min)

Exercise first thing, and then back to the decorating. I need to do the door and the skirting boards today. I’m also going to have a crack at dyeing the curtains. I did abs: both levels of 6W6P (65 min)

GrinMotherForkin!! I'll let you know if my butt and underbutt separate after some days of intensive work on the area!!
