Happy New Year! I’m starting a nice shiny new thread to keep track of my 2020 exercise goals. Please feel free to join me.

My goals are:

  1. To do some exercise on at least 250 days during 2020;
  2. To do at least 200 hours of exercise.

I think Easter is a week later for you than for us @SophieLion?

OP posts:
SophieLion · 08/04/2020 11:34

Yes Greek Easter is next weekend.

OublietteBravo · 08/04/2020 20:00

I did 30DS L1D8 & KB&T L3D2 (65 min) today. It’s really rather warm all of a sudden. I think it might finally be spring.

It was really warm here today too, Oubliette. I was uncomfortable doing my s&c class today. Still, sunshine is always a bonus.

Days exercised 78

SophieLion · 09/04/2020 14:37

7km run

Days exercised: 85

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 09/04/2020 17:12

I'm absolutely exhausted so taking a rest day tomorrow. Hoping for more pep in my step tomorrow.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 09/04/2020 17:12

Sigh, rest day today...

OublietteBravo · 09/04/2020 20:06

S&c. I have not regained my pep.

It is Friday and the sun is shining though, which is a good thing.

Days exercised 79

SophieLion · 10/04/2020 16:09

Hope you feel better tomorrow MotherForkin Thanks and that the sun continues to shine.

I did yoga today (day 6 of Tim's quarantine challenge) in the garden as we also have sun - finally!!! It had been raining non-stop for days and was grey and cold - very unusual for here.

Days exercised: 86

SophieLion · 11/04/2020 09:05

7km run
And the sun is still shining Smile

Days exercised: 87

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 11/04/2020 11:23

Short run this morning and I'm.dragfing the kids out for a cycle in a bit.

Still feeling very sluggish. I'm not sure if it's due to work overload, the lockdown getting to me or what, but I wish it would go away. But it's a beautiful day so I'm going to enjoy that much anyway.

How are you holding up Sophie after your loss? I hope your family is still pulling together, even from a distance.

Days exercised 80

SophieLion · 11/04/2020 11:48

Thank you for asking MotherForkin. It's not easy. It was all so sudden that many times I can't believe she's gone. We also lost someone else in the family (cousin by marriage). This virus is cruel. All the family stays in touch and we are close.

It helps the weather has improved. It was so grey and cold here that I felt depressed anyway. Exercising helps (realise I haven't taken a rest day for a while) and keeping busy with the children (although school work was driving me mad). Our schools will stay shut until at least 9 May.

Are you sleeping ok MotherForkin? And eating well? Otherwise sluggishness is most likely just to do with the situation. I'm sure it will pass because in my experience, we are all going through cycles of good days and bad Thanks

OublietteBravo · 11/04/2020 19:33

Hello 👋 - I took yesterday as a rest day. I’m also feeling a bit sluggish and indifferent about exercise at the moment @MotherForkinShirtBalls. I really don’t seem to have managed to move from GMT to BST properly - which I suspect isn’t helping. Plus I never seem to know what day it is - I’m definitely missing the mundane routine of normal life.

@SophieLion - thinking of you and your family Flowers.

I’ve just done an abs session: 6W6P L1&L2 (65 min)

(80/170; 80h 25min)

Thank you Oubliette. Hope you and MotherForkin feel less sluggish soon. Unfortunately exercise sometimes is a complete chore and very hard to get motivated. I'm
Finding that with HIIT at the moment but got into running again as (although treadmill is boring), I put on a nice film or TV series and the time passes more quickly.

Went for a long walk with DCs this afternoon (4km?) and then discovered a new online yoga instructor: Cat Meffan. Did her 45 mins vinyasa flow. I think I'm going to be sore tomorrow!

Days exercised: 88

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 13/04/2020 16:26

I took yesterday off. It was rainy and miserable and a perfect day to spend on the sofa with chocolate eggs and Disney plus Smile. I do need to get back to a proper routine of getting to bed earlier and not starting work on my phone in bed first thing, it's making me lazier!

I did my s&c class this morning, cycling with the kids after lunch and I've just spent a couple of hours reporting some plants and tidying up in the garden. It's cool but bright and sunny so it was good to be outside. I haven't been running in over a week and I think that lack of being outside is part of what's getting to me.

Days exercised 81.

I'm glad your family are rallying round Sophie. Dh's uncle died this morning. It wasn't Corona related, he has been sick for a long time, but there are such strict restrictions in place here for funerals (only 10 people, max) that it's very hard on the family. Funerals are big events and really culturally important here so it's very strange not to be packing up to head down to the homestead to start preparing the wake. Even the immediate family technically shouldn't be mixing Sad

I'm so sorry to hear that MotherForkin. My condolences to you and your DH Thanks

We also lost another family member in the UK. These are very challenging, very difficult times.

Re exercise: I took a rest day yesterday. Hadn't had one for ages. Planning to run later today.

ps I asked for the post above to be deleted as I realised afterwards that it was quite outing. Perhaps I should have PMed you instead MotherForkin.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 14/04/2020 08:15

Thank you Sophie. I'm so sorry to hear you lost another family member. What an awful time. Flowers

OublietteBravo · 14/04/2020 09:48

Good morning. My condolences to both of you on your bereavements.

I’ve had a couple of rest days. Mostly because I’ve been decorating my office. Before and after (it’s now green - purely because we happened to have that colour of paint in the house). I ache even more than usual this morning. Several hours of painting is quite hard work.

Good job Oubliette!! Very productive. I like the purple colour of the curtains too. Can imagine loads of painting is a bit tiring on the arms.

50 Min interval run for me today.
