Happy New Year! I’m starting a nice shiny new thread to keep track of my 2020 exercise goals. Please feel free to join me.

My goals are:

  1. To do some exercise on at least 250 days during 2020;
  2. To do at least 200 hours of exercise.

My mum is "cocooning" so the kids and I did a zoom pe class with her this morning which was fun. I just dragged them out for a cycle while I ran around the neighborhood. We only managed about 30mins before ds's whinging became unbearable... He needs routine and right now work is crazy and I'm trying to juggle too many things Sad I feel a little better after the fresh air and he of course cheered up considerably when I agreed to turn back for home. I'm very mean, I didn't tell him the point he designated as half way was further than he thought Grin

Days exercised 70.

OublietteBravo · 31/03/2020 19:23

I’m feeling really tired at the moment. I think I’m still getting used to the clocks changing. Just a short session tonight. I figure that it’s better to do a short session than have a rest day. KB&T L1 (40 min).

I’m also really busy with work. You’d think teenagers required less supervision. Apparently not. My 15 year old managed to cover everything in red gloss paint today (including both her hands which she’d apparently decided to dip into the paint). I was unimpressed - especially as my kitchen now has streaks of red paint on the walls.

Fortunately the teenagers haven’t been displayed toddler-like behaviour in the Bravo household today, so I’m feeling a bit calmer.

I can really feel my abs after this evening’s session. Ri30 L3D6 & KAbs L2D6 (60 min).

30mins circuits. I really wasn't in the mood for doing anything at all.

My two are somewhere between toddler and teenager depending on the day. Today was all about the attitude...

Days exercised 71.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 02/04/2020 13:11

Run this morning. I thought it was going to be horrible but I ended up a little faster (aka less slow Grin) than usual which was a nice surprise. Then the children and I did a pe class with my mum over video chat!

I really need to get myself going to exercise early. It makes such a difference to my mood for the day.

Days exercised 72.

I had very sad news from the UK and was a bit of a mess yesterday so no exercise.

Today did one hour of yoga and then Joe Wicks PE class with my youngest. I feel a bit better after the exercise but just want this all to be over. It's really hit home now.

I agree re doing exercise early in the day but I never manage it in the mornings what with supervising school work and cooking lunch.

Days exercised: 78

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 02/04/2020 16:29

I'm so sorry, Sophie Flowers. I hope you and your loved ones can take comfort in each other, even at a distance. Mind yourself.

OublietteBravo · 02/04/2020 20:45

Thinking of you @SophieLion Flowers. I share your wish for this all to be over.

I’m always torn between getting the exercise out of the way in the morning and having been up for long enough not to be too stiff to exercise. Im obviously getting old! I did 30DS L3D7 and moved up to L3 of KB&T (65 min). Despite never had done this level before, I’d done many of the moves in other Jillian workouts. It definitely wasn’t as bad as I feared it might be.

Thank you both.

7km run this morning. For some reason my youngest had very little school work today so was able to get my exercise out of the way early on (although I do hate thinking of exercise like that. It should be something we enjoy not another chore - but sometimes it really does feel like that).

Days exercised: 79

OublietteBravo · 03/04/2020 18:41

I’m feeling very tired, so I’m taking today as a rest day.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 03/04/2020 19:23

Hope you're both ok today.

I did my s&c class this morning then went for a cycle with the kids. It was great fun until it started raining!

Happy weekend

I’m feeling better for having had some sleep. I got up and exercised first thing today, so I can be lazy for the rest of the day if I want to. Ri30 L3D7 & KAbs L2D7 (60 min)

7km run today. Feeling a bit wrecked now.

OublietteBravo · 06/04/2020 20:25

I had a rest day yesterday. I really must break the 2 rest days a week habit. This evening I did abs: both levels of 6W6P (65 min)

One hour pilates for upper and lower body but done in stops and starts due to helping with maths and English at the same time so think it took me about 3.5 hours to get through altogether Angry

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 07/04/2020 17:02

That sounds stressful Sophie. I've completely abandoned any school work pretense for the next couple of weeks. It's Easter holidays anyway but the virus has thrown us into a massive unplanned piece of work which won't be concluded until the end of the month..I've decided I will try real life again then

I managed to do some Pilates early and went out for a cycle with the kids at lunchtime. Now I get to figure out what's for dinner... Hmm

Days exercised 77

OublietteBravo · 07/04/2020 19:54

I’ve abandoned trying to get the teenagers to do any school work too. It’s the Easter holidays and work is pretty hectic.

Just a short session for me this evening. Strength: NMTZ (50 min)

HIIT today: KB&T L2 (with only one interruption - but quite a long one....)

We aren't on Easter hols yet. This week is our last week of school thank goodness - I have really had enough of home schooling. It's been over 4 weeks for us.
