Happy New Year! I’m starting a nice shiny new thread to keep track of my 2020 exercise goals. Please feel free to join me.

My goals are:

  1. To do some exercise on at least 250 days during 2020;
  2. To do at least 200 hours of exercise.

That sounds lovely MotherForkin. It was a gorgeous day here yesterday but we were worried about going to the walking places here as thought they would be very crowded. And now today they are bringing in stricter measures: including no going for walks anymore. think you have to send an SMS somewhere before you go out (which can only be for certain reasons eg food, medicine etc) or carry a paper with you.

Anyway.... JM's Hard Body L2 which was..... hard Grin Plus some pilates for core, arms and glutes as I needed to supervise one of the DCs on the treadmill so I thought I may as well carry on with some exercise whilst carrying out my duty!

Good evening! I had a rest day yesterday, and this evening I did abs: both levels of 6W6P (65 min)

(65/185; 65h 40min)

There certainly haven’t been crowds of people here. If anything it is quieter than usual. Presumably because people don’t have the urge to flock to town centres at the moment.

You're obviously living around sensible people, Oubliette!

I took a rest day yesterday. My strength and conditioning coach started an online class this morning. It was good...I'm finding motivation really hard at the moment so even though it wasn't as intense as usual (understandably) it was definitely helpful to be able to follow her.

SophieLion · 23/03/2020 15:37

Glad you enjoyed your online class MotherForkin. Yes agree sensible people where Oubliette Is!!

First day of the severe restrictions here but it's been raining most of the day so no one wanted to go out anyway.

5km run plus strength for arms and lower abs.

Days exercised: 69

OublietteBravo · 23/03/2020 18:52

I’m actually starting to think my local world is reasonably sane. The panic buying doesn’t seem to have been as extreme as elsewhere either.

Just a short session this evening because I had a long work day and couldn’t face a full hour. Strength: NMTZ (50 min)

(66/184; 66h 30min)

I forgot to count yesterday!

Short run early this morning. Everyone was being very sensible and moving well out of each other's way, not that there were too many of us. It was quite enjoyable actually, cool and bright.

50 mins of yoga. It was the last day of this 30 day challenge I'm following so I'm Going to have to see what I do next for yoga.

Days exercised : 70

OublietteBravo · 24/03/2020 19:10

I went for a walk (because I felt I needed some fresh air) and then did 30DS L1D7 & KB&T L2D9 (65 min)

(67/183; 67h 35min)

SophieLion · 25/03/2020 15:19

Decided to focus on my bottom today so did Killer buns and thighs L3 plus the 10min booty workout of JM's transformation DVD. I tried out ankle weights too.

Weather really rubbish here today for March so was quite happy to stay in. DCs were running round in the garden though and also tried the Joe Wicks PE lesson on you tube.

Days exercised: 71

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 25/03/2020 18:17

I'm pre-emptively counting today as I'm going to do an online class at 8 then I'll be straight back to work Sad. Things have gone a bit mental at work and trying to juggle the children at home is proving a challenge. I'm consoling myself that at least most of the time they were on screens today they were doing school work or coding projects...

OublietteBravo · 25/03/2020 19:30

Today was my first really productive working day since I started WFH. Although somehow I’m already on Thursday.

Ri30 L3D4 & Killer Abs L2D4 (60 min)

I’m really struggling today. But I still managed 50 min of exercise (BFBM)

(69/181; 69h 25min)

OP posts:
SophieLion · 27/03/2020 08:55

Sorry to hear you were struggling yesterday Oubliette. But good you managed some exercise.

Was v tired yesterday so did 30 mins yoga to relax and now a 7km run.

Days exercised: 73

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 27/03/2020 14:51

Must have been something in the air yesterday, Oubliette, I was struggling badly yesterday but didn't exercise! Made up for it today, I did my class online and then went for a run with the children.

Happy Friday... we've survived another week of home school.

Days exercised 66.

OublietteBravo · 27/03/2020 20:10

I’m feeling much better today. I’m taking it as a rest day. Mostly because my kids have decreed that it is quiz night.

OP posts:
SophieLion · 28/03/2020 12:21

Quiz night sounds fun Oubliette. Hope you enjoyed!

Just did 6W6P L1 (dare I say that I find it a little easy now?? I remember how hard it was the first time I did it) plus some pilates for abs and arms

Days exercised : 74

OublietteBravo · 28/03/2020 19:33

I think I’ve lost track of what day it is. I’ve just done the combination of workouts which I consider my nemesis: 30DS L2D7 & KB&T L2D10 (65 min)

(70/180; 70h 30min)

OP posts:
MotherForkinShirtBalls · 28/03/2020 21:38

I came very close to not doing anything today but I made myself do half an hour of low impact cardio. It was hard going but I'm glad I did it.

Days exercised 67

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 29/03/2020 11:55

Skipping challenge this morning. 2 mins of skipping followed by 45 secs active recovery. I'm dead.

Days exercised 68.

SophieLion · 29/03/2020 16:36

How many times do you do that skipping combination MotherForkin? Might ask DCs to do it (but think I'll give it a miss - too exhausting WinkGrin).

45 mins yoga with a friend's yoga teacher who has put a class online. It was hardcore!!! Plus 15 mins toning for glutes.

Days exercised: 75

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 29/03/2020 19:10

Ten rounds, Sophie. I rotated walk outs, press ups, triceps dips and glute bridges as the active recovery. I can feel it in my core!

We went into lockdown here at midnight on Saturday night so not allowed to go more than 2km from home for exercise. Today would have been gorgeous for a hill run, I really missed not being able to do it.

SophieLion · 30/03/2020 15:27

That sounds tough MotherForkin but lots of variety.
Wow - they've clamped down a lot if not more than 2km from home. I feel for you: I always used to love running outside before I got my knee issues. I still miss it when it's a lovely day outside.

7km run (treadmill!)

Days exercised: 76

OublietteBravo · 30/03/2020 19:35

I had a rest day yesterday apart from building a flat pack wardrobe. I didn’t really want to exercise this evening, but nevertheless I did. Ri30 L3D5 & Killer Abs L2D5 (60 min)

(71/179; 71h 30min)

OP posts:
MotherForkinShirtBalls · 30/03/2020 21:01

S&c class online earlier. Core on top of yesterday's core is a very sore belly today.

Hope you didn't have too many screws left over Oubliette Wink

Days exercised 69.

SophieLion · 31/03/2020 16:46

One hour of pilates focussing on abs then glutes then arms.

Days exercised : 77

Trying to keep things varied as losing motivation a bit.
