Hi lovelies! I was just about to join the running thread and saw it was almost full and couldn’t find another
I’ve copied below from the last thread and I hope you don’t mind me joining you all!

This is the 12th thread since it started with a few of us who wanted to chat about our running, running clothes, support each other and get some training tips.

We talk about our runs and support and encourage where needed.

Please feel free to come and join us and add your miles to our running total for the month for the whole thread in bold at the bottom of each post.
Currently on 10.2 for September

Best wishes

A post wine and late night run this morning. But the fresh air was lovely.
I tend to get quite warm when I run so go with the layer option. At the moment I’m in 3/4 length leggings and either a vest top or short sleeved t shirt and a long sleeved running top which I can tie round my waist.
When it gets cold I may do an extra layer, full length leggings and gloves. And if really chilly (snow) a headband to cover my ears.

Sloggy slow 12k this morning- spent 20mins looking for my fleece headband but couldn’t find and the windchill wasn’t as bad as forecast so didn’t notice it too much. Long sleeves & jacket stayed on whole time though as was 3-4c but I like winter running temp so much more than summer.

BusterTheBulldog · 29/10/2018 09:58

9 miles from me last night. Didn’t check weather before hand and go soaked, hey ho!

Mine and skimum miles gives

484.4 for the month so far.

Barbayagar · 29/10/2018 12:04

5 freezing miles this morning when I regretted forgetting my gloves. Hot shower after a cold run is always the best though.

IRun4Me · 29/10/2018 13:15

My RED January t shirt and shoelaces have arrived today!!

BusterTheBulldog · 29/10/2018 13:23

Mine too irun!

AuntieStella · 29/10/2018 20:27

And mine!!

I hadn't realised there would be shoelaces too. They'll clash horribly with current trainers Halloween Grin

Surprised myself with a Parkrun PB this Saturday, but otherwise quite a steady/gentle week. Toying with the idea of entering another Half before Christmas - I'm beginning to show the signs of addition, aren't I?

495.4

IRun4Me · 30/10/2018 07:30

You are definitely getting the running bug (addiction) AuntieStella Halloween Wink

My shoelaces will clash as well. I’m not sure whether to embrace the clash or put them on another pair of trainers.
DS has offered to make me fabric ticks to glue on my t shirt Grin

Ran 2.8 miles last night. It was cold but I was fine in my leggings and long sleeve top with gloves and buff for a headband. I like running in the cold much more than the heat.

emummy · 30/10/2018 11:02

Intervals in the forest this morning, damp & chilly but intervals do keep you warm!

My miles plus Huntly's 502.2

SkiMum99 · 30/10/2018 21:43

Lovely cold 5k tonight and I signed up for RED after reading on here thanks. Will await my T-shirt to arrive. I won’t run everyday as my body can’t take that but I will exercise everyday in some form. I’m aiming to be upto HM by January so it will be good training.

Total: 505.3 miles

BusterTheBulldog · 31/10/2018 09:07

Club run for me last night, I so much prefer the cold weather!

That’s a good idea skimum, I’m on a marathon training plan that specifically recommends not running every day, - signed up to red before got marathon place!

BusterTheBulldog · 31/10/2018 09:08

Oops forgot to add my miles, nearly time to roll counter back too!

511.8

AnotherOtter · 31/10/2018 17:08

An easy 10k from me to end the month. Didn't run for over a week as still having health issues (unrelated to running). Was so pleased to get back out and I love the cold weather too. With the autumn sun it is just perfect.

I haven’t run for two days now as I have trapped a nerve in my neck (sleeping, of all things- not running!) and god I feel miserable without it. I am praying for this to have righted itself by tomorrow because I will have to run tomorrow regardless, my mood is foul and I’m itching to get outside.

FATEdestiny · 01/11/2018 08:31

20.5 October miles to add on from me, before we start the November count.

538.5

thenewaveragebear1983 · 01/11/2018 09:03

Ran a gentle 5k this morning despite my neck pain, although a few times did a swift glance to check for traffic and felt like my shoulder would break. I am not good with pain or injury, can you tell??

emummy · 01/11/2018 10:38

Tempo run in the sunshine today
Hope your neck keeps improving bear, a stiff sore neck is horrible.

8.5 for both our runs

Perfectpanda01 · 01/11/2018 11:17

6 soggy miles with the doggy this morning

AuntieStella · 01/11/2018 22:18

Just quickly adding my Hallowe'en fancy dress club run miles to the October total

543

BusterTheBulldog · 02/11/2018 11:29

Had an annoying running day yesterday. Set off to do intervals at lunch and then lots of work stuff kicked off and so turned back.

Then ended up doing a bills session on the evening but managed to lose the whole session from my watch! Angry

Anyway, 7 done in total.

15.5

SkiMum99 · 02/11/2018 23:57

Tried to do a speedy 5k at lunchtime today managed a fast 2k than crashed abit, sprinted abit, puffed a lot walked 1min ran again eventually got there but boy I’ve lost a lot of speed after having most of Jul/Aug off with injury, much prefer longer slower runs Smile
Added in busters 7 & my 3m
553

AnotherOtter · 03/11/2018 09:39

A steady 10k midweek and a 5k fartlek yesterday for me. My first time trying fartlek and it was quite fun but bloody knackering.

Skimum, think Stella was adding her miles to October's total so your 3 and my 9.3 added to this month's total is:
27.8

SkiMum99 · 03/11/2018 11:08

Sorry I was getting confused with the totalling thing Blush

Did park run with DD today she knocked 5mins off her time! I couldn’t keep up & probably slowed her down she’s only 7. Left the older DD sulking in the cafe as she didn’t want to run but DH was going for a PB. Just eaten full English breakfast reward Grin

Hopefully I’ve got this right..

Out in the rain this morning. It was great! Not too cold and the house was warm when I got back. Bonus.

6.3 miles which makes our month total so far:
