bitoutofpractice, second what has been said - do what you want to! I guess just setting a target (and one that suits you) just helps with the motivation, especially when you countdown and see your target diminishing...
Hi tsotofamily, hope you are getting on with your fitbit. You may find an app like Strava (or similar) helps as well.

Forgot to add up miles for run on the 12th, so would have been at 154 miles after that. Not been updating this week, but have been out a few times since last Friday. A long run then (9.3) and two more runs (4 and 4.2) with a hilly walk/ run (5) today so now at 176.5 miles.
Going to start using the countdown so:
