30 Day Shred... anyone want to join me?

I started in Feb and managed 25 days or so but got a stinking cold and my whole health kick went down the drain. Think 8lbs heavier now Shock

I started yesterday with Day 1 Level 1 and determined to keep up with it.

I've also started playing tennis again and I'm determined that by my hols in 7 weeks I will be fitting back in my size 12 clothes.

Anyone want to join in with some daily motivation?

I went with L1 D11 in the end. Push ups were difficult but, if imhonest, they usually are!

Anyone tried Ripped in 30? Thinking of giving it a go once Shred completed.

i haven't but I was considering it for the distant future where I have completed 30 days of shredding.

L2D1 done. Lulled myself into a false sense of security. I preferred L2 for the first 2 circuits....then got to circuit 3! Shock

L3 D9 done.
I tried Ripped in 30 a few years ago. Level 1 is easier than Level 1 Shred but Levels 3 and 4 are very difficult. There are different moves so provides variety from Shred and if I'm not mistaken, it's 3 x 30 secs of strength.

May I join? I am on L3D8 and feeling pretty good about having got this far, but need to keep going. My weight got up to (gulp) 13st and I finally hit the wall of being fed up with being fed up! I've been doing the dvd since the end of May and it has definitely toned my shoulders, thighs a little and it's made some difference to my stomach but I'd love to actually lose some weight too. Should I start adding in swimming or running?!

I have L2, it's my least favourite level.

I don't know about adding extra stuff in, I guess there's no harm!

I agree about Level 2 being the worst even though Level 3 is harder. Couldn't Shred this morning as usual but no DC for 3 days so will be able to do L3 D10 after work.

Almost sacked off Shred due to crushing lady pains, then remembered advice from all those Just Seventeen mags of my youth how exercise helps cramps. It sort of worked since Shred gave me a different variety of pain for twenty-odd minutes!

Rest day tomorrow. Phew.

Felt good to eject the DVD. It has lived in the machine for the last 6 weeks.
Rest day tomorrow.
Then I will probably do a few 30 minutes runs because we'll have guests and our spare room is under the living room so it will be antisocial to workout before breakfast.
I won't join you for Ripped Ironorchid as we're off on holidays in 3 weeks.
We could have a more general maintaining and onwards thread. Would anyone be interested?

Haha. I have a funny image in my head of a T Rex attempting push-ups.
Looks like another rest day tomorrow as we went out for a meal and, because of a mix up, ended up with bubbly on the house.... I don't think I'll be a squeezing in a run before work tomorrow.

I can't do any impact workouts until next Thursday when our guests leave. I went for a short run to the bank and back ( only 2km) this morning and did some press ups and 1 minute plank when I got back.

Off to take a pic and compare it with ones I took on June 1st. Even if there's not a huge difference, I'm still chuffed because I finally finished 30 Days of Shred. Yippee!
