For one pointless -excuse- reason after another I get so far and then stop .

This time I have signed myself up for a 5k in May so I have to do it now . I do enjoy it once I get into it and I really want to finish something for once .

If anyone has any hints tips or kicks up the arse spare I would appreciate it .

How cool is that constant ? Not so long ago 20 mins was a dream .

Is that 4.5k in 30 mins ? That's a great time .

I think I might brave the 20 mins today after work if I can face it .

I know, I am secretly chuffed as I'm suffering a horrible period too.

It took me 41 minutes to complete that. Going to aim for hitting 5K tomorrow night with 25 minutes of jogging in there. Hoping I pull it off.

Good luck with the 20!

I did it ! Grin

It was tough and it was slow but I did it !
Knackered now but it has given me faith back in the programme.

Wk6 next which is scary but I am quite excited .

TheConstantCakeEater · 05/04/2017 19:22

Well done! (I'm sat on the sofa eating mini eggs Blush )

Good luck Pink

Grin I'm trying to take it a step at a time and have mostly cut out fat coke now addicted and trying to eat more fruit and snack on hummous and cucumber - you're right, pretty boring!

Howlongtillbedtime · 06/04/2017 07:12

Morning . How did you get on pink ?

I think my next time out will be tomorrow or Saturday .

I have been looking ahead and feel slightly scared but still excited . ( when I say excited I might also mean crapping myself )

Morning all...honestly I found it tough! I don't think it helped that I'd had my dinner (light dinner) shortly before (probably not left enough time) and I ate a handful of mini eggs

I'm struggling trying to eat healthily and stick to exercising 3x pw....life just gets in the way! I need to lose about half a stone so think I'll try meal planning from next week, and maybe go back to 5:2 (fast days on non exercise days)?

TheConstantCakeEater · 06/04/2017 14:10

Repeat a run till you feel comfortable but yes, if I'm a piggy before my run, it's far tougher. I am to eat tea at 5 and go out at 7:30.

TheConstantCakeEater · 06/04/2017 21:21

Tonight was even worse, but I covered 5K in 43 minutes. Did 10 minutes jogging, 5 walking and another 8 jogging but everything else was walking.

Hmmm... better than nothing and ate home made granola, honey yogurt and fresh strawberries rather than chocolate.

Howlongtillbedtime · 07/04/2017 17:08

That sounds good to me constant And very healthy food too . Mini eggs sounds better though .

Wk6 r1 done .Grin

It was slow (again) but I did it . Will try and get out again on Sunday .

Good luck everyone.

Fantastic. Need to pull myself together and go tomorrow night or Sunday morning.

Pinkvici22 · 07/04/2017 20:42

Way behind you all, but I've just done W3 R3 and it actually felt okay! I concentrated on my breathing and I've eaten well today (no mini eggs😁).

Howlongtillbedtime · 07/04/2017 23:33

It won't take you long pink

I started this thread nearly two months ago and have only got 3 weeks forward Grin

My dh is trying to get me to do a parkrun soon . Which I want to do but I am stupidly nervous about running outside and about being last and making an arse of myself !

Good for you Pink

I'm struggling on week 7. I think I might just go and walk the 5K tonight. Changing my route has completely unsettled me and I am exhausted, so I'd still get the exercise and hopefully feel more comfortable next time I go for a run.

Go out under the cover of darkness which is getting harder and harder as we move to summer - I felt safer that way.

Howlongtillbedtime · 08/04/2017 08:27

Good luck constant

Walking is better than not bothering at all . My legs are aching today after yesterday so definitely not doing anything until tomorrow. I am thinking of braving the parkrun next week which is scary as i only run (plod) on a treadmill

TheConstantCakeEater · 08/04/2017 20:04

I did it, legs sore and after 3hrs gardening it's all over pain!

Howlongtillbedtime · 09/04/2017 00:48

But you did it ! Well done you Grin

I am hoping too get out tomorrow and do wk6 r2 somehow but first I need to cover up Blush

Howlongtillbedtime · 09/04/2017 10:06

I did it !

And the first 10 min run felt really good . I definitely feel a big difference from a couple of weeks ago.

I carried on with a walk / jog to cover the 5k and managed 40.22 so pleased with that .

I obviously need to do more nights out Grin

Well done! Will aim to get out at some point, but a bit mad busy this week. Maybe Wednesday.

Howlongtillbedtime · 09/04/2017 20:43

My DH is trying to get me to go out in the public spaces and get used to it before I do the 5k in 4 very short weeks 😱

Good luck for Wednesday ! Where are you up to now ?
