The open circuit is friendly too! Plenty of veterans compete successfully at open level.

I was shocked to discover I am a veteran for running!

OublietteBravo · 24/03/2017 18:00

OK- I know I said today was going to be a rest day. But I got home early, so I had time to fit in a quick circuit (Killer Abs L1).

I've annoyed myself by spending an hour trying and failing to learn Olympic lifts 😬
Then came home and scoffed a mars bar in misery.

Ah well onwards and upwards!

59/191 (god knows what random numbers I put in yesterday 😳)

DeliciousIrony · 24/03/2017 20:05

Body Revolution cardio 3 today...ouch. My legs were still a bit wobbly from the last two days, so I wasn't amused at all by the jumping squat/lunges etc.

Got friends visiting over the weekend, so that's it for me until Monday.

LordPeterWimsey · 24/03/2017 21:14

Body Rev workout 9 done -workout 10 tomorrow and then I've done my Jillian for the week. I only biked to work and back once but there were extenuating circumstances: I biked in on Wednesday and went to a meeting in Parliament in the afternoon (standing in for a colleague so I didn't even expect to be there) and ended up locked in for several hours instead of collecting my bike from its service. Couldn't ride it home Thursday as I had a work thing, so finally got it home tonight.

LordPeterWimsey · 25/03/2017 10:05

And workout 10 done. Thankfully DD stayed out of it this morning.

I always fancied fencing, but I don't have time to commit to a class, sadly - one of my colleagues does sword classes and really enjoys it.

KanyesVest · 25/03/2017 11:48

Unplanned rest day yesterday dh's birthday cake was an unrelenting hideous mess to decorate and took a million hours. Just did a quick run for sanity before heading off for a day with the in laws!

Happy weekend everyone!

randomsabreuse · 25/03/2017 18:36

Park run in an acceptable time, squats and an upper body workout of my own design done. Enough for today. Next week I'm going to work on my diet which sucks but this weekend is all mine as DD and DH off to stay with SIL so I get a weekend of netflix and crochet...

RJnomore1 · 25/03/2017 18:47

Thai class this morning. Great cardio workout. I've got my MMA/circuits tomorrow then dh and I are away for a couple of days to a place with two Aa stars and a great wine list so next week may be rough 😕

60/190. I need to hit 63 by the end of march to stay on target so I think I'm doing ok!

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 25/03/2017 19:10

Hi all, sorry have been AWOL. I did a random exercise routine of my own making too random yesterday - realised I could watch a tv programme while doing it that way Grin. Today went swimming with DC so not full on exercise but managed a bit of sculling etc.

Weekend alone sounds bliss random

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 25/03/2017 19:11

As does your break RJ

RJnomore1 · 26/03/2017 11:36

61/189

Thank god tomorrow is a rest day anyway between 8 days in a row and the clocks changing I have no energy left at all!

randomsabreuse · 26/03/2017 19:39

Squats, a 4k potter comparing heart rate monitor on running watch with old fashioned methods (stopwatch on phone/fingers...) - which suggests I did indeed manage 5k in my "sprint" heartrate zone at parkrun and decided to enter a road 10k in 2 weeks time. It will be fine!

OublietteBravo · 26/03/2017 19:48

Rest day yesterday. NMTZ today.

It's almost warm enough for me to consider exercising outside.

Still KBFFing and weekend walking here! Hooray for the spring weather Smile.

RJnomore1 · 27/03/2017 13:39

7 miles of hill and cliff walking for my "rest day"😟

Sat down for a bar lunch now hooray!

DeliciousIrony · 27/03/2017 17:45

Way too much unhealthy food consumed over the weekend, but hopefully back on it today with Body Rev workout 9, and mung bean falafel wraps and salad for tea..my next two weekends should be quiet so I'm hoping to fit in some extra workouts in preparation for the last stretch of Body Rev Smile

OublietteBravo · 27/03/2017 20:04

Cardio today - BFBM (which seems to be growing on me).

I'm away Wed/Thurs/Fri, so need to make the most of the beginning of the week.

20 minute made up routine at home today. Plan something from JM tomorrow with DD2

LordPeterWimsey · 27/03/2017 21:03

Biked to work and back, and Body Rev workout 9 done. So happy about the spring sunshine, biking almost didn't feel like a penance. Aiming to get Body Rev workout 10 done tomorrow, then move onto 11 and 12 in the second half of the week and carry on with them till Easter.

KanyesVest · 27/03/2017 21:33

Yes, Peter, the sunshine is lovely isn't it? We had a long time at various parks yesterday so I couldn't face going for a run, but the rest day seems to have paid off because I just did a 5k pb! I got a tempo run prompt on run keeper so I did it and it was great- 5 min steady, 5 min fast x 3. I was just short of 5k when I was done with it, so I got to that before I walked for a little rest, then finished the 1.5k home. Feeling very good for it Smile

OublietteBravo · 28/03/2017 19:43

My exercise was in two parts this evening. A 10 min run (only way to get between DS's drop off and DD's pick up in time - it takes twice as long to drive). Then Killer Abs L1 once I got back home (I also walked a couple of miles, but won't be counting that)

(55h 00min; 69/181)

I'm away for the next couple of evenings - back late on Friday. So I think I'll be having three rest days.

OP posts:
RJnomore1 · 28/03/2017 20:19

I've decided yesterday's 7/8 mile hill walk is being counted as I was so tired and my legs hurt today so I didn't go to kettlebells. I need a proper rest day. Running tomorrow 😞

So from yesterday I am

62/188

LordPeterWimsey · 29/03/2017 21:11

Unscheduled rest day yesterday - I worked late and didn't get home till after 9, so couldn't face Jillian. Today I biked to work and back and did Body Rev workout 10. My knees are still hating the plyo, but I did it all properly. No excuse for not moving on to workout 11 tomorrow, groan.

Well done on the run time, Kanye!

KanyesVest · 29/03/2017 21:34

Thanks Peter Smile I'm still slow by other runners' pacing, but I keep reminding myself that it's faster than sitting on my ass!

I had a rest day yesterday, dh's birthday. Not that that excuses him for tonight... He forgot I had fencing, so didn't leave work in time for me to get there Angry I ended up doing a barre workout on YouTube and some weights instead. Run tomorrow I hope.
