Come and join us in our attempt to do 30 min exercise as often as possible.

Set yourself a target (e.g. 5 days a week, 20 days a month, etc.). Any kind of exercise counts: walking, running, swimming, cycling, dancing - or any other activity that expends energy.

Thai boxing class down. I've got a few twinges so didn't work as hard as maybe I should. Think I'm premenstrual it always makes me achy and reduces performance.

OublietteBravo · 20/11/2016 18:49

I didn't feel like exercising this morning. I'm a bit sniffly today. However I eventually worked up enough motivation to do 6W6P L1.

MMA day for me followed by major carb binge at dinner (Italian restaurant) I can't move now.

LordPeterWimsey · 21/11/2016 06:49

Right. I have a new plan. I'm going to work through JM's Body Revolution DVDs again, as doing DVDs ad hoc each morning doesn't seem to be working in my present unmotivated state (Oubliette, I'm so impressed that you keep going even when the motivation isn't there!). So - phase 1, workout 1 done this morning.

I honestly couldn't keep going with DVDs when my motivation drops. I need PTs and small classes to keep me accountable 😳

I don't know how you guys do it.

Hi all, did 5k run this morning. Had to be a run as had free time while DD2 at gymnastics. Was wet, miserable, my ankle hurt a bit and I was a whole 5 minutes slower than usual Shock. I'm not one for PBs and chasing times, but 5 minutes slower????! At least I went!

OublietteBravo · 21/11/2016 20:07

Stressy - I'm in awe of anyone who exercised outside today. I expect you were carrying a couple of extra kilos of rain water around with you and trying not to slip on the dastardly leaves. Hence the slightly slower time.

I stayed indoors and did Killer Abs L1.

I did 6W6P L1 this evening and walked to pick up DS because parking was so bad I was terrified I wouldn't find another spot if I drove

Thanks Oubliette - I will stick to those excuses Smile.

LordPeterWimsey · 22/11/2016 21:21

Biked to and from work, and did Body Rev workout 2. I'm not going to do the cardio from Body Rev - I did it the first time through and really hated it, and I get a fair bit of cardio from cycling, so aiming to do Killer Abs tomorrow, and then workouts 1 and 2 again on Thursday and Friday.

RJnomore1 · 22/11/2016 22:11

DId nowt today. It'll be my day off this week. PT tomorrow lunchtime.

OublietteBravo · 23/11/2016 18:43

Still plodding along and wearing my 2016 target down one day at a time. Just done Killer Abs L1.

Snap, Oubliette - Killer Abs L1 done this evening.

KanyesVest · 24/11/2016 13:43

Holy crap...it's a week since I managed anything, combination of exhausted from work last week and really awful weather, so I gave in and did 30 day shred just now. Like an idiot I thought I'd jump in on level 2. I think I'm broken Blush

KanyesVest · 24/11/2016 21:15

I appear to be going from nothing to all in one day...just did a 6km walk.

OublietteBravo · 24/11/2016 21:16

Hi Kanye - it's amazing how fast time goes by - isn't it?

From what I remember, L2 of 30DS is particularly evil. I think L3 is actually easier I may be mis-remembering though

I had a rest day - having sat through 2 hours of Autumn Concert at DS's school, I felt I deserved wine. I've only just made it home.

OP posts:
LordPeterWimsey · 25/11/2016 07:04

I've been fending off a cold all week and just felt rubbish yesterday, so gave myself a rest day. Back on Body Rev this morning: workout 1 done. I ought to cycle to work but I also ought to get in early and crack on with stuff as things have happened overnight, so I probably won't. Rather than resting all weekend I'll get Body Rev workout 2 done tomorrow, though.

Yes, L2 of 30DS is definitely the worst! The low point is those chair squats with V-raises in the last circuit.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 25/11/2016 11:12

Just done 30DS level 2. YY to the chair squats. Might brave level 3 next then if level 3 is actually harder!

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 25/11/2016 11:12

If level 2 is harder I mean.

OublietteBravo · 25/11/2016 20:11

Oh yes - the squats with a v rise are evil. I used to wimp out and use 0.5kg weights for those.

Back to exercising tonight. I did Killer Abs L1.

(270/30 - or 90% of the way to my 2016 target Smile)

I got my exercise session done first thing today: 6W6P L1.

I'm off to London to meet some friends. Should be fun must control consumption of alcohol so I'm not too hungover to exercise tomorrow
