Happy 2016 everyone!

If your new year's resolutions include more exercise, come and join our little band of (almost) daily exercisers. The idea is loosely based on Juneathon, and you do some form of exercise most days each week (we take rest days too). The exercise can be whatever you like, swimming, running, DVD/ gym classes, yoga, stretching, etc, but we post here to keep motivated and encourage each other.

Our previous threads are Octoberathon and Juneathon

I'm planning to get out for a short run later today, fingers crossed it stops raining at some point!

Not well today. Felt sick and running a temperature. Managed 25 squats, 20 lunges, 40 side bends and 1 minute plank then gave up. Today will have to be a day off.

Hope you're feeling a bit better Dancing.

I've been absolutely flattened for the last couple of days, my complete lack of sleep earlier in the week has caught up with me. I ended up turning around the car yesterday morning and coming home to bed instead of going to boot camp Blush. Anyway, I got out today and managed to do 25mins of a jog. It was my new and improved speed though, so yay me!

Having another day off today but plans to go running with DS1 and swimming with DS2 tomorrow, so hope I'm well enough.

Another rest day yesterday Blush ... Not a great showing from me this week. Today was a walk/upper body strength combo. Undecided for tomorrow but likely a run.

Went for swim and came out feeling much better.
400m breaststroke
100m back crawl

Going to drag DS1 out for a hill walk or run later - 3k.

More Jillian this evening: 30DS L2D6 & 6W6P L2D8.

I also weighed myself with DH's fancy new scales. My weight is pretty much the same as normal (in fact above normal by a couple of pounds as it is winter). However, the scales estimate my body fat as 18.8% - which is phenomenal Grin

I guess 8 months of diligent exercise is paying off.

Dh has been working since 10.30 this morning so after tramping the children round the park and woods for 2 hours and FINALLY getting them into bed I have just done about 20 mins of abs and core work.

I think I started at around 24% - I probably wrote it down somewhere, just need to remember where! I can't ever remember being below 20% previously (not even when I rowed seriously at university).

Good morning everyone. Well done on the exercise.
I did 4hrs of yoga between weds&fri. It looks ok outside so I might run to the gym instead of driving and walk home (2x2hr classes won't see me running home).
I'm going to find the courage to enter the gym this week to do a cardio workout before my yoga classes, just to up my workouts a little.

Well done on the exercise everybody. oubliette wow your body fat percentage is amazing.

Well I started to feel unwell on Friday afternoon, so didn't quite reach my garmin step target, but not too shoddy at 7540 steps. Saturday, I was still feeling grotty, but achieved my step target. Yesterday, I was rough again, and only achieved 5134 steps. I feel much better today, but still not right, I've achieved my step target though. Thankfully the vicks first defence does really work and it has knocked this cold on the head. I think I'll have an easier day tomorrow and then plan on doing davina on Wednesday.

I booked the holiday, so i've got a goal to work towards.

Ooh, Velma, where are you off to?

I had a somewhat disjointed exercise evening. I ran to boot camp and managed my new faster time think I'm going to have to accept it as my new speed and stop patting myself on the back. Boot camp itself was a bit unusual, we had a hiit/circuit time challenge followed by a short weights session. I had to leave early for a meeting that was on the way home so I took a 90 min mid-run rest stop!

Evening all. Like the sound of a long rest stop kanye ... Might have to try that on my next run!

HIIT workout for me today, a tough one. Pleased to see that my strength is improving. I'm back to full press-ups rather than doing them on my knees, and I'm adding weights to squats, etc. Progress, slowly but surely.

Still KBFFing here but after a hectic week at work last week I had a quiet weekend so didn't try out any new JM DVDs.
Need to do better next weekend!

Good morning everyone. Had my gym induction then ran for 45 mins on the machines with an incline (I used to run up and down steep hills with my dog growing up so the incline felt more natural than a flat service). Went on the treadmill for a few mins but couldn't seem to change it from darts so didn't stay on long. It's all exciting. I don't have to fit exercise around scheduled classes now.

Another day, another Jillian DVD. This time NMTZ for a bit of variety.

Not sure whether I'll manage anything tomorrow - I have a big meeting at work, and I expect to feel pretty drained afterwards. We'll see...

Morning all. Got rained out of my lunch run yesterday and couldn't go after work as I had tickets to a lovely concert. The rain had stopped by the end of the concert, so I decided to walk to the station quite briskly, I might add, because it was pretty late and I didn't feel 100% comfortable wandering the dark streets on my own! then did some stretching at home. Feeling quite tired today from my late night so planning to do a quick HIIT tonight.

20/280 (probably more like 19.5, but hey).

Hope your meeting goes well today, Oubliette.

Not sure if it's exhaustion, sinus issues or the start of tonsillitis, as they all befin the same for me. Hopefully a day of nothing will help. I wasn't feeling great yesterday so just did some stretching and abs again .

Great to see so many keeping up the challenge!

KBFF again today and this time did the abs workout (workout 3) as my 2nd 20 min. Don't often do that one so my abs are feeling it tonight! Blush
Might try NMTZ again on the weekend Oubliette as you've reminded me it used to be one of my faves!

Hope your feeling better Kanyes.

I went to the gym straight after the school run yesterday. Missed my yoga class as needed to be home for a meeting (video conference) and a delivery which obviously came via Hermes in the middle of the meeting because that's just how things happen.
Gym and yoga tomorrow. The dizziness when you stop running on the machines really is something. Do you ever get used to it?
