Purple totally up for that I could start tomorrow? CVX and MMX would be my two picks!! I need some structure Grin I think my dvd collection just reflects my lack of daydreaming tendencies and lack of focus tbh Blush

Yes if Beachbody knew about Boobz I am pretty sure they would get her on the next Insanity Max 30!

Yay poppy - we're on! I would have said cvx and mmx too. So, to add I'm going to go total synergistics and warrior. Also the challenge if you're up for it? I'll start tomorrow. Did accelerator tonight - was great. It only comes up a couple of times in the schedule which is a shame as its a good full body workout. Although - donkey kicks - wtf?? Hmm

Boobz - needless today I didn't work out last night.... I did have a nice curry tho. Smile. On your schedule you might want to make your last 2 weeks pre mara easier as you need to taper properly if you want a pb. Seriously - being really rested makes a massive difference. Maybe short runs not insanity those weeks?

I am going to have a go at the challenge tomorrow but I just had a go at a pull up with the assist and I think I am a bad combo of weak and heavy!! Prob need to lose a few lbs stone first!

Shall we do incinerator instead then poppy? It's not fun if it's not one you enjoy too. Let's start with cvx tomorrow.

Pull ups get easier quickly using the assist thing so dont be disheartened.

Well I've had a bad ego day!
Went to buy some new jeans. Caught a look at my bum in the mirror.... Omg... Looked massive. I know I'm not skinny, but I'm not overweight either.... Must be a distorting mirror, right?!
Then did cvx. It killed me. Was on the 5lb weight after the first 2 moves. I'm sure I did it with a 4kg one last time. Oh well.
How did you get on poppy? Better than me I hope?

Those mirrors are a nightmare Purple, under no circumstances ever look in them. I used my 4k kettlebell but put it down a few times and went totally sans weight for burnout. Love twist and pivot with the weight but some of them are killer with weights...talk about feeling the burn. Thank you for suggesting this I think I might have skipped it otherwise Star

I hate those mirrors. They are evil.

Started my new hybrid schedule today: 3 mile run followed by Month 2 insanity work out (Max Cardio Conditioning). I needed it as fell off the wagon food wise on the weekend - went for dinner and ate loads of ice cream, and then last night we had guests staying who had brought truffles and they were divine! And DH and ended our Dry January a couple of days early as the red wine at this dinner party looked to good to miss, so not a brilliant couple of days. But after the 25 min run and 48 min Insanity work out this morning (and I am fasting today) I am feeling like I am back on track! And I think I spotted an ab on the weekend - Ab Ripper X starting to do it's thing!

Have fun with your challenge ladies - I will also be cracking open the pull up bar from Weds with P90X Legs and Back routine - time to get some Tony time in.

My shoulder is sore this morning (too many planks and push ups this weekend obv) so think I'll have a rest day today. Poppy is mmx up next? I'll be back on it tomorrow!

Oooh Purple decisions I am tempted to do total synergistics and save MMX, but would MMX be better for your shoulder? Hope it feels better quickly. I am off work today (pos do a bit from home) so going to get one workout done before school run and hopefully I will manage to do some actual housework Hmm

Boobz you did insanity and a run this morning Shock sounds like a really fun weekend - defo don't feel guilty, and redwine is a superfood dontcha know Grin

Mmx done! Really didn't feel like it, but remembered our challenge poppy and got it done! It turned out to be very therapeutic doing kicking and punching! Grin
I looked more like a flailing octopus than hard core Alice in the DVD.
Shall we do total synergistics tomorrow poppy?
Hope your hardcore run/insanity schedule is going well boobz

Tiptoeing back into thread in the hope no-one noticed I tiptoed out of the last one....

I FINALLY finished the Body Coach after starting the last cycle again because I drank too much Baileys at Christmas! I weigh the same but am 7 inches smaller, and I'm starting to get little baby abs if I look at my middle section in the right light (in the morning....)

So now I'll probably be doing a few Beachbody workouts - I already did Insanity twice last week (Max Cardio Conditioning and Cardio Power and Resistance). Shaun T is still trying to kill me.

Has anyone tried the new Hammer and chisel one? The name itself sounds like a form of torture......

Looks like everyone is doing great Grin

Yay - welcome back Eleanor!
7in sounds like a lot - well done. I'm doing my challenge week with poppy on p90x3 at the mo but perhaps we could do an insanity or insanity max30 challenge week soon?
Needless to say I immediately looked up hammer and chisel. I love a new workout. Sounds similar in concept to p90x3. Like the look of it, but it seems like you need a bit of kit (work out bench etc) and my living room is going to look too much like a gym and not enough like a living room if I put too much more workout stuff in it! I might try the free trial ones to see what it's like tho.

It's not as much as it sounds as it's little bits from different places, but I definitely feel a lot firmer and less wobbly in the middle! I'd definitely be up for an Insanity or Max 30 challenge week!

Eleanor well done that is amazing! you must have gained a good bit of muscle and lost a fair bit of fat to lose inches but not lbs?

Purple I did tried Synergistics. I could do the odd bit, weights etc but couldn't do a lot of it. I can do a half a pull up I think, but mainly I was swinging around on my assist like a loon! Dp thinks I am wasting a workout but I will prob keep trying once or twice a fortnight?

Total synergistics done. Was satisfyingly sore in my arms this am after mmx yesterday. No doubt will be worse tomorrow. Feels like I'm not getting stronger as total synergistics still feels hard, but I can only assume I'm doing more reps but just don't realise as I never write it down Blush sorry Tony! Stupid crawly plyo push ups are obv still nails.
Am supposed to be going out tomorrow night and then again on Friday (Grin). If either of those gets cancelled then I'll do warrior, if not I'll be back on sat having done it.

There's definitely an ab there Eleanor. Fab!

Poppy - keep plugging away with the pull ups. I had the assist on max assist to start with and did the work outs exactly per the classic schedule so prob pull ups 2 or 3 x per week. Each time I did a pull up workout I just reduced the assist by a tiny bit. Bottom line - pull ups are really hard. Not that many people can do them so its about small goals.

I can't do it on the first attempt but normally by the 2 or 3rd time I go from boat I can. My back is very stiff which makes it hard. I love the feeling of it afterwards tho. Synergistics is hard - there are more exercises in it that I can't do than I can - squat rockers?! Arms are killing this morning from that one at the end where you lie on your side and push up with one arm. Shock I did a little shriek when I lifted ds out of his cot this morning!

Didn't do P90X yesterday as DH and I had a row and I was behind on my work, both of which ate into my workout time so I had to skip it.

Did 15 miles just now - in a decent time too. Am going to do P90X and ab ripper tomorrow morning and Insanity in the evening to make sure I am up to date with my schedule!

Glad to see you back Ele!

Keep going with the pull ups Yum - they come eventually, if you do Tony's sets of them at least 2 times a week.

Hello everybody! Welcome back Eleanor! Fab abs btw!!!

I'm battling through despite very early mornings and major lack of sleep. On week two of Alpha and things are definitely improving. I'm not noticing any physical improvement yet but my fitness level has definitely gone up.

You are all amazing, half of the stuff you are talking about doesn't even make sense to me now. What on earth is mmx?
