Ah but Purple - it just goes to show that doing a new routine has worked muscles you weren't working before, and that's good! Harder! More varied and will get better results.
So, as much as it pains me, I am admitting defeat. I just don't like this Goliaz thing. DH loves it, and will continue and get amazing results I am sure, but I just can't be bothered with it anymore. The results are terrible, I positively HATE doing the workouts, and tbh I am starting to cheat in them (although I know I am only really cheating myself!) just to get to the end faster so I can stop doing it. What is the point in that?! I LOVE P90X, I LOVE Insanity, and I really really like long runs (10km+) so why am I putting myself through this? I really wanted to be "transformed" by the time we return to London in August, but I really don't think this is going to work for me, and I am running out of time, so am going to go back to Month 2 Insanity plus Ab Ripper X every other day, plus a few runs thrown in for good measure. I might add in legs and back from P90 as well, as that's my favourite.
I feel a spreadsheet coming on.
Oh the relief. Have to tell DH now - I have already hinted at it, and I know he will be disappointed, but I can't do it for him, I have to do it for me (or not do it, in this case).
Just goes to show, that some exercise regimes really suit some people and not others (me and DH being a case in point).
So! Tomorrow I will do a Month 2 Insanity - will start with Max Interval Plyo to wake up the system - am VERY EXCITED as I literally haven't seen Shaun for 6 weeks now - it will probably be a tearful reunion (on his side, natch).
