New thread for an (almost) new year, and almost exactly a year since the start of the original thread!

Well done all on great consistency - have we all taken before photos for this new 22min work out?

The 12 miles yesterday did me in - I caved and had a digestive (or 2).

But back on bootcamp today! About to do Max Interval Circuits (HARD) and ab ripper X to punish me for yesterday.

My boss is coming to visit tomorrow and we are going out for a swish dinner so will try to be good until then!

Those who have done Insanity (original) - which work out do you think is the hardest?

Right - come y'all, LET'S GOOOOO!!!!!

Purpleraindeer · 01/04/2016 07:28

Am Angry this am. Weighed myself (mistake). After 4 days of watching cals and really being careful I seem to have GAINED 0.7kg?? What? That had better be water weight.....

No idea what the hardest insanity work out is boobz but you should definitely try max30 Friday fight 2. And Max out sweat. They're hard but in a really fun way.

I will try a 22hc this weekend. Bring on the burpees!

RoastieToastieReastie · 01/04/2016 07:44

Boobz definitely the month two insanity workouts are super tough but I'm not sure which one of the month two ones are the worst. I haven't done the month two ones for yonks as I tend to stick to month one ones [lazy]. I'm sure I remember thinking the second plyo workout was really tough, as in month one I like plyo best so expected to like it in month two but I was so very wrong! I haven't taken before photos, I never do but then think I should have. Maybe I'll get dh to take some at the week end. I've also never got any of the Bb tshirts by sending in photos as I don't want my picture used in any advertising or anything and I'm scared if I do they might. Has anyone else? I admit I do want an insanity tshirt!

Purple you like burpees?! You may find not enough of them in 22hc for you for a one off, I'm finding it's the build up of them practically every day that is causing me burpee fatigue. You could always do a cardio then resistance workout together to add excitement to yr burpees Wink.

I'm ready to get some

RoastieToastieReastie · 01/04/2016 07:47

Meant to say, purple, weigh yourself again tomorrow and it may well be different, these things really do vary day from day and if you get a bad day it makes it look worse than it is. When I was losing weight I would weigh myself every day at the same time every day to get an accurate picture, but I know online they don't recommend this as they say it can lead to obsessive behaviour over weight. I now do about once a week but I've read lots of fit people saying ignore the scales and instead go with body measurements as they are more accurate.

yumyumpoppycat · 01/04/2016 08:09

Just a blip purple, did you eat anything salty or do an extra hard work out, or totm coming, or not drink enough water, or a bit constipated Confused Sorry for tmi but I weigh myself every morning, nakey after a wee, when I get up , quite tedious, but recommended on diet I am doing, like Roastie says so you get an overall weight loss trend. I only do it once a day though

Good luck with insanity challenge Boobz! .

yumyumpoppycat · 01/04/2016 08:12

...my scales also fluctuate if i move them...not obsessed or anything Wink

Boobz · 01/04/2016 08:39

An ab! I found an ab! Squint and there's two!

Purple don't be disheartened! Diet can be so amazingly useful to lose weight so keep going - it really must be your scales playing up. I am now half way through Bootcamp and weighed in just now at 55.2 - that is 2.5kg in 10 days.

Another 10 days to go.

WHat do people think about whilst Beachbodying? Today I caught a look of myself in the mirror as I was doing high-knees-with-a-twist, which I like as it makes your stomach and arms look good as everything is contracted, and the I wondered what exercises all of you liked the best (thinking about Purple's burpees) and then I wondered if we were all working out right now, at the same time (it was about 7:10am UK time) and then I did a little montage in my head of us all working out, and then a split screen in my head like they do in films.

The other thing I do is constantly correct Tony on his grammar - he gets it wrong, EVERY time despite my corrections - it's "FEWER grabs, the harder it is", not "LESS" you tool.

That is all.

Boobz · 01/04/2016 08:50

(PS apologies for the monumental rack - it looks ridiculous I know. I was a saggy A cup before mastectomy, from breast feeding 3 kids in 3 years back to back, and I think my surgeon felt sorry for me and went a bit overboard! I am still trying to get used to them...)

lavenderhoney · 01/04/2016 09:05

Blimey boobz you look amazing:) I won't be reciprocating:)

I weigh myself every day and the scales don't seem to move which is disheartening. I think I need to drink more water though.

I found myself wed evening after work ( and after getting up early to do t25 beta) running 5k and then going home for insanity. I hate the plyometric, but love the pure cardio. And yesterday did t25 and instanity before dashing to LHR to collect the DC. Which puts a stop to my running, for now.

I got up early today to do t25 but as my boiler has packed up I was freezing despite jumping about. I'm going to have to do it again. And the second one for the day plus insanity. It's really weird but no matter how much I suck my tummy in I don't feel anything there. Might be the 2 cs effect I suppose. Plus my bulge kind of gets in the way. ( sorry!) I suppose if I keep at it, it will go.

yumyumpoppycat · 01/04/2016 09:11

Crikey Moses Boobz is that really you! Defo some abs- you look amazing.

yumyumpoppycat · 01/04/2016 09:17

Are you happy with your boobs, you look lovely, but it must be very different for exercise etc?

Lavendar, well done on all your exercise! Do you eat a lot of wheat, that can cause bloating?

onlywhenyouleave · 01/04/2016 10:40

Boobz wow, you look amazing!

Purple don't be disheartened, load of different factors can affect your weight so try again tomorrow and Sunday etc. As long as the overall trend is downwards then you are doing something right Smile

I gave up weighing myself years ago as I could move the scales round the bathroom and get a variation of about 10lbs Grin

Anyway, I work out at 5.30am so I suspect I am doing it alone (in a virtual reality with you all). My thoughts tend to involve swearing internally at Shaun T a lot, watching the clock a lot and the one thing that really annoys me (and DH) with the Pyramid workout is that the workout is not a bloody pyramid as it doesn't peak and then go down - it just keeps going up so I always think of it as a ski slope! I think this every time Shaun T describes his pyramid theory Grin I also often wonder if I could actually manage burpees and full push-ups if I wasn't 15 stone.

Basically loads of random thoughts!

RoastieToastieReastie · 01/04/2016 11:38

Boobz those are incredible abs Envy but well deserved. If I pull my tummy in as much as possible and stand in a certain pose I can see lines on the side of my tummy (obliques) ahem, not that I do this alot to see oh no. Il never have nice abs though given how much excess skin I have on my tummy from losing so much weight (and I fear it'll always dangle down over my section scar too :( ).

Love the thoughts during workouts. I try to workout at 9am as I can't do it on an empty stomach or I feel sick so I have to have some breakfast and give it time to go down first. I'm not sure what I usually think about. Today it was just counting reps and telling myself 'just five/one etc more, come on, your can do it' alternating with 'I can't do any more I can't do anymore'. I enjoy punching moves best, and enjoyed doing combat workouts. I think tbh for too long I've just been picking my favourite/easy option workouts and picking and choosing what I feel like, so doing the proper 22hc program is feeling like quite hard work. With pump (where there are quite a few instructors) I tend to think about what they are like in rl, whether they have families, how much they workout, what sort of house they live in, whether they sometimes really don't want to workout or if they love it etc etc (I'm not a stalker, I'm just nosy!.

lavenderhoney · 01/04/2016 11:40

Yumy, no I don't touch carbs! Not even wine anymore ( polishes halo) When I did though, bread and pasta always bloated me out.

When doing the DVDs i think " fucking hell my tummy is in the way" and " oh god I'm actually sweating" and " I just CANT DO THAT" or " I've only managed 5 of those and they have done about 20 I'm so slow" and occasionally I roll my eyes at Tanya pretending to huff and puff whilst doing the moderator bit.

When running I organise my life in my head and when that's done I do complicated maths equations in my head. If I start to get irritated by anyone at the gym I step up speed and focus more on sums. If I'm outside I think of my life and daydream.

Boobz · 01/04/2016 12:07

I've just spotted a bit of post-insanity sweat on my sports bra - nice!

Thanks for nice comments. TBH having not really eaten that much for 10 days, it's nice to see it actually works! Am still in Ketosis as breath still a bit funky - DH is not going to like that when he gets back tonight :)

Can't believe how many workouts you are doing Lavender - you must be exhausted!

Yum - my boobs surprisingly don't really affect my exercise at all - I think it's because they are fake and therefore are rock solid and don't move an inch (I don't have to wear a bra). They are in no way natural so don't bounce around when I jump - they're just sort of in statis, ifswim. Although weirdly I do get a sore patch from running in a vest top under my arms from rubbing which I never used to get before, which must be from me swinging my arms in a different way due to boobs being there!

Only I think you need some new scales :) I still haven't bought that fat measuring device, the Skulpt...

Roastie I also do the "one more, you can do it thing" but I only really believe it when Shaun tells me, so when he says to keep going, I do tend to... when Tony tells me I can take a break, I do that too. I am easily led it seems. I did Ab Ripper all the way to the end with no breaks though today, actually, which is the first time since I was diagnosed last year I think, so that's progress! Still can't do a Month 2 Insanity all the way yet - I think I need to swap some of my marathon training miles to HIIT before I reach that peak.

I also daydream about work when I am running outside. Usually about work.

onlywhenyouleave · 01/04/2016 13:27

Lavender omg, yes, I also get really annoyed at Tanya pretending it is really hard work doing the moderated exercises when clearly it is a walk in the park for her Hmm

Interesting Tanya fact - she used to be a backing dancer for Britney Spears and you can see her in loads of Britney's early videos Smile

lavenderhoney · 01/04/2016 13:45

Only, I read Tanya's blog thing, after she had her baby and she says she was too embarressed to work out after because everyone knew her as the machine and her body wasn't the same, she couldn't do what she used to, which endeared me to her. Clearly she has recovered:)

Boobz · 01/04/2016 14:05

Interesting fact #2 (and massively lowering the tone):

Maren (sp?) the hard core short haired girl in the P90X original videos was also a porn star.

yumyumpoppycat · 01/04/2016 16:53

Snap on picking favourite workouts and liking punching ones Roastie.

Only think how fit you must be as it is sooo much harder when you are carrying more weight. I am still a long way from finding pushups and stuff easy, my core is still rubbish but it was def easier when I tried to do pullups recently compared to when I tried before at a heavier weight.

I am really interested to see how I find insanity Max 30 if I can plough on and lose another 10lbs (originally I said I would do IM30 when i lost 10 but lets make it 20lbs ;) ). This diet is working quite well mosley 8 week diet

yumyumpoppycat · 01/04/2016 16:54

Boobz glad your new boobs haven't caused probs.

lavenderhoney · 02/04/2016 07:56

I follow the program schedule for my workouts, although I'd happily drop speed 2, I really hate it. I'm hopeless at keeping up and a bit slow. They're all so nimble:) perhaps when I've done the program ( and my tummy looks like boobz ( hopeful) I'll just do the ones I like.

I redid my first DVD from yesterday morning last night then did the second one. So now I'm behind on insanity and I shall have to do two today, as well as take the DC swimming. At least they let me swim up and down whilst they mess about. Plus I have to take ds to the docs.

Purpleraindeer · 02/04/2016 07:56

Helloooo! Thanks for all the encouragement yesterday. You were all right - was 0.9kg lighter this am?! Drank loads of water and wonder if I was just dehydrated and retaining water. Weird. Anyway - am going to do insanity max interval plyo this am. Posting here so I actually do it as often I flake out of doing the long insanities unless boobz makes me Blush

Boobz - that is a bloody amazing rack (is that inappropriate comment? I don't know anymore...)!! Wow. Big boobs and starting to get a 6 pack. Awesome. Do you think that your new boobs weigh more than your old ones? Might mean you don't need to be at 50kg to have the body you want?

I have lots of random thoughts when I work out along the lines of 'God, I'm only 10mins in, I'll never get to the end', 'hang on - just get through this move, don't stop', 'omg - the girls on max30 are so hardcore - I wish I could work out like that/look like that'.

lavenderhoney · 02/04/2016 08:03

Purple, that sounds very encouraging. I popped over to the LC thread with my diet and they said I wasn't drinking enough water. Had to be at least 2 litres a day!!!

Boobz · 02/04/2016 12:39

Well done Purple - it's so nice to see the scales go down eh?

Thanks for the rack compliments - I think they look a bit silly tbh but are certainly better than the old ones which tried to kill me!

How did Max Interval Plyo go? There are like a million press ups in that one (Level 3 drills - arrgh!!!) and I'm not a fan of the power jumps as they go on forever. I think this might be the hardest one - it's a toss up between that and Max interval circuit... Max Cardio Conditioning is defo the easiest and I did that one this morning as I had a bit of a red wine hangover! (DH got back last night). But I did do 90% of Cardio abs straight after so not too bad for the day.

Think the diet is going to be rubbish today... ok so far but have guests arriving in half an hour and we're having a lovely Roman lunch outside in my garden (meats, cheese, pasta) etc., and then we are out to dinner at a swish restaurant tonight! Must try to be good! And will fast/run tomorrow.
