Lorelei it's very much dash from one exercise to the next but the cheography isn't difficult.

I did insanity plyo this morning but after third round of first drill after warm uo I went really light headed and faint so had to ff to cool down :( feel a bit of a failure about it but blaming this cold.

My new tony DVD has arrived today, looking forward to giving it a go tomorrow. Anyone considering it for the 22 minute length just to let you know there's an additional 11 minute warm up separate to the 22 minute workout.

yumyumpoppycat · 19/03/2016 14:52

If you have a hard floor you could buy a kids rug from ikea to put down as a buffer, we have has some cheap kids ones that have been really decent sized, then put it under the sofa or whatever, this one is £9, maybe a bit small havent seen it in real life www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/10250201/

yumyumpoppycat · 19/03/2016 14:55

Roastie I am jealous!! mine is in Bristol....I think that is the cold start btw so optional for if you have just got out of bed and are a bit stiff or its very cold, I have never done the p90x3 cold start Blush

lavenderhoney · 19/03/2016 17:18

That's why i like to exercise at home:) no giggling from others at my inability to tell left from right:)

I don't have neighbours downstairs but I don't play the DVD s with the music on. I expect my neighbours can hear me a bit but I would assume at 6.30am they are in the kitchen, bathroom or bedroom, not in the lounge. I have very nice neighbours mind you, and have asked them. They said " no love you carry on"

The yoga mat helps because it drowns the sound and also it's non slip for the floor stretches. Mine is 15 years old:)

I also have good Pilates app I do, but I don't really like Pilates tbh, and also I'm a fan of Callenetics which I try and do every day.

Boobz, how's the head?:)

Boobz · 19/03/2016 18:15

I am getting old I think - a hangover lasts all day these days - I ended up going to bed for an hour so no exercise! And have eaten crap! Argh.

I really want to lose some weight before this bloody marathon and it is 3 weeks tomorrow so am going to try and shed a kilo a week. I know I keep saying I am going to be careful with what I eat but I keep falling off the wagon spectacularly.

I am going to check in every day from now on, to log miles, exercise and I am going to do mfp as well as I think that is the only way I am going to stick to it! You can all nag me to make sure I am staying on the straight and narrow. A 3 week low-carb boot camp until marathon (but will allow myself some porridge on long run days...)

RoastieToastieReastie · 20/03/2016 12:55

Thought I'd give you my feedback after doing my first 22 minute corps workout this morning. Did the warm up (optional), cardio 1 (22 mins) and core 1 (10 minutes).

I'm still wobbly from my cold and not up to full energy but really liked the cardio workout. It was about 7 moves (eg burpee) doing a set number of each with different numbers per set (I think the quantity went down but I'm not sure) and then 22 bear crawls and 22 burpee says a bonus at the end. There was a quick 29 second break after each set. The thing that took me a while to get used to was tony didn't really do any of the moves, it was the army crew and he was walking around telling people what to do. Usually he likes to demo but this was all the army crew demoing. I wonder if maybe tony couldn't as I know he's had some kind of injury and although he looks very muscly he must be getting on a little to do everything still.

The core workout was good but I struggled with it (I have a rubbish core) and had to modify a lot. There was a lady in it who I'm sure I recognised, maybe from a previous DVD I haven't watched in ages, I'm not sure.

So far wouod recommend :)

Boobz · 20/03/2016 15:39

Sounds good Roastie - I think Tony would be a bit hurt that you're suggesting he's past it!

I have done Max Interval Plyo and fasted (properly) today, so only had one glass of fruit juice and will have a cupasoup for dinner later. So, so far so good with day 1 of my 21 day boot camp!

Tomorrow is another fast day, a 6 mile run, Max Cardio Conditioning and if I have time, Ab Ripper X.

yumyumpoppycat · 20/03/2016 17:16

Roastie well done on going the full thing I plan on just 22 minutes! Poor Tony!

Boobz what are your bootcamp rules! I am still overweight on the NHS BMI chart so am back on the Michael Mosley Blood sugar diet 800 calorie thing after a weekend of 2000 plus (totm). I do want to go lower carb too to help with blood sugar I am bfmummy on MFP, but cause I hopefully wont be hitting the 1200 calories you will have to actively view my diary because they won't put out updates on low calorie entries.

DS was sick this afternoon poor thing, but now neither dp or I feels like eating so grimly that may be the thing to get me back on track Shock

RoastieToastieReastie · 20/03/2016 19:03

Blush about my Tony comment. He's not past it, he's amazing fitness, but I remember some photos a while ago on fb where he had some kind of operation or injury and was saying how he was having to modify his workout and do different things so I wondered if it was anything to do with that that he wasn't on full form yet. He is amazing but he's also nearly 60, which I guess is an inspiration given how he looks and what he does.

Boobz no way could I do that workout and eat so little, wow. Hope you're ok and not too wobbly.

Yumy I hope you don't succumb to the bug of your daughter. I am quite severely emetophobic and don't envy you right now, I live in constant fear of DD being sick.

I haven't eaten anything with added sugar or sweetner in about a year and a half now. I don't avoid carbs and eat alot of slow release carbs and also eat fruit and a small amount of dried fruit. I don't think I could low carb as I have a very restricted diet already for various health reasons, but cutting out sugar has really helped me.

Purpleraindeer · 21/03/2016 09:34

Hello! Lots of chat on here. Yay.
Roastie - do keep posting about hard corps. I will def buy it but just don't want to now as I'll just get distracted from my current plans. I need some new work outs to look forward to! Is Tony h really 60? Omg! Shock he looks pretty good on it.

Did gamma speed 3.0 yesterday which I didn't really enjoy then found max out sweat on Vimeo so I did that this am. I loved that one. Was hard but really satisfyingly hard if that makes sense. I felt OK about finding dive press ups and one armed burpees tiring! Boobz - I bet you'd like that one so maybe give it a go after the mara is over. Prob better not to do new work outs and risk injury now.

Poppy sounds like your diet is going well. Did you hit the magic 149 as planned?

RoastieToastieReastie · 21/03/2016 09:47

Hard corps update. Just done resistance 1 today. Three rounds of five moves including pull ups, squats with weights, lunches with weights, (there are arm movements with those that I'm not very good at explaining), stomach crunches with a punch at the top, and push ups. I had to modify because of injury. Bonus round of burpee/push ups/football runs at the end. Enjoyed it and found it challenging but it seems so fast I'm not used to getting my workout done so quickly, feels like I'm cheating a bit. Didn't do the extra warm up this morning so hoping I don't feel it too much tomorrow.

RoastieToastieReastie · 21/03/2016 09:49

To add, it reminds me alot of p90x in that it's multiple rounds of the same moves, but the main difference here is Tony works quicker and doesn't faff and chat so much and there are fewer different moves in each round. So far I'm enjoying it.

Boobz · 21/03/2016 10:35

Yum my bootcamp rules are:
Breakfast: Eggs any style, tea with skimmed milk (no toast, no carbs)
Lunch: Salad (lettuce) with olive/oil balsamic dressing, parma ham, peppers and Parmesan cheese (or variation thereof)
Dinner: Fish/meat (3oz max) with spinach/broccoli or some other kind of green veg
Snacks (2 x a day) - 6 cashew nuts OR half an apple, OR a boiled egg
Drinks: Fizzy water, tea with skimmed milk, NO ALCOHOL, no fruit juice except on fast days

Fast days: 1 x glass of orange juice for lunch, 1 x cup-a-soup for dinner, lots of fizzy water, fruit teas

EXCEPTIONS: Porridge with brown sugar before a long run in the morning (anything over 10 miles is a long run - currently doing 2 of those a week, but will only be one next week and the week after as I am on taper).

Exercise is as my original plan which I am pretty much sticking to (See pic).

Current weight 57.7kg. Goal weight by Toughest event on April 23rd: 51.5kg.

Boobz · 21/03/2016 10:39

It's good to write it down actually - is making me focus! Have just updated MFP for yesterday as well, and logging today's as well. Along with my garmin logs, it feels like I spend a lot of time tracking my food and workouts - anyone would think I am obsessed!

Am still amazed how much weight I have put on as a result of marathon training - really did think it would have gone the other way! Diet is sooo important.

RoastieToastieReastie · 21/03/2016 12:17

Wow boobz, I take my hat off to you Blush and am totally in awe. That diet and work out plan is dedication.

Boobz · 21/03/2016 14:23

I have to stick to it first!

DH convinced me not to fast 2 days in a row, so today is a normal day, tomorrow will be fast day.

yumyumpoppycat · 21/03/2016 19:47

Boobz that looks brill, I think I could cope with the normal days but not so sure about the fasts but having said that I have found I don't really need dinner which was a surprise!

Purple yes I hit 149lbs - 148lbs actually but then went back up a a lot a bit. 139 lbs is my next goal by may half term. One armed burpees OMG how is that physically possible, be careful!

I'm still waiting for my dvds Roastie!

caitlinohara · 21/03/2016 21:51

Ok I'm back! House move completed, had a fair few days off as a result (5 to be exact Blush) but I'm back on it now. Total Body Circuit yesterday and Ab Intervals today. I'm bloody hungry though and I have eaten about 4 times as much as Boobz! Hate going to bed hungry, might have a banana to help me sleep...

Very tempted by 22 min thing at £40, seems quite the bargain but can't really justify it at the moment when I haven't even started P90x3 yet! Roastie is there just the one calendar for it or does he do Lean/Mass options as well?

lavenderhoney · 21/03/2016 22:34

Decided this evening that I need to move to t25 last month program and keep going with insanity programme. Hopefully I'll be able to run next week as well, plan about 5k a day and a very slow relaxing swim after. DC will be in France with their papa.

Boobz, do you feel hungry? I never feel hungry - and I have an omlette with left over veg or something for breakfast, and an advocado with a tin of sardines, squirt of mayo in the afternoon - I might have a couple of Brazil nuts. I also drink coffee with cream, twice a day then water. I eat to live, I think:)

I'm actually considering getting a babysitter a few nights a week so I can go to the gym, and run. God I miss running outside -but there are no hills here unless I drive 20 mins out of town, so the gym and a treadmill on an incline will have to do.

RoastieToastieReastie · 22/03/2016 07:46

Caitlin as far as I've found there's just the one calendar but there is a killer week (can't remember the name he calls it though) where there's about three of the 22 minute workouts a day. I suppose you could do a hybrid with that and another program if you were looking for different results?

Lavender is that all you eat all day? Wow, you ladies are so lean with your diets. I get really hungry and eat a lot but what I do eat is healthy (most of the time!) . I've always been like this though and struggled with hunger.

Boobz · 22/03/2016 09:15

I used to eat "The Zone" diet (which is basically the normal day above, but with a few extra carbs) 7 days a week, plus HIIT 6 days a week, and I was fine - I wasn't hungry as long as I ate my 2 snacks between meals, and I maintained at about 51-52kg. I then got cancer and got hungry on chemo (you have to take steroids) and I put on about a stone up to 59kg and managed to do about 3-4 HIITs a week. I then had to take a complete break from exercise for my surgery and took drastic action once that was all healed from: a 10 day fast (medically supervised at a German clinic) which got my weight back down to about 53.5kg (and saved my sanity - lots of meditation etc.,) but marathon training has completely ballsed things up... I feel super fit and I love running for miles and miles, but it has made me starving all the time, so am back up to 57.5kg (as of today).

I know that's not heavy, but when you are used to be about 52kg and seeing abs, it does feel blubby to me (even though I know I am running fit). I keep trying to reconcile in my mind that I am weighing more because I am fueling my body for this impending marathon, but when I can't fit into any of my skinny jeans, I promise myself I will eat less again (hence bootcamp - day 3 today and going well!)

I just want to be like I was pre cancer I guess. But deciding to do a marathon (surprisingly to me!) hasn't helped with weight and shape - it's made it harder. But I am on the taper now so am replacing runs with Insanities and Ab Ripper Xs so hopefully my shape will start to change!

Managed to stick to the diet yesterday - I can't fast today as am meeting friend for lunch so it will be Weds and Fri this week. Today I have had a bowl of cereal for run, and 2 boiled eggs for a snack - out to lunch at 1pm - will eat salad.

Sorry - that is an overshare - I am just thinking a lot about it at the moment.

So in answer to your original question, I am bloody starving on this current diet but only because I am running 40 - 60 miles a week!

Boobz · 22/03/2016 09:17

Purple - a long shot I know (and actually this is an invite for any London bods) - I am in town for a work thing in a couple of weeks and will be doing the 7:10am Barry's on Weds 13th April - let me know if you can join - was so much fun having you along that other time!

Purpleraindeer · 22/03/2016 14:20

Don't worry roastie - I'm not lean with my diet. Well, I was this time last yr and I lost 14kg but now im just eating normally again. Am on hols this week so the eating has not been good. Have been working out tho so at least that's something....

Max out power today. My quads were killing after max out sweat yesterday and I found it very hard. I can give you a sense of how tiring I found it when I tell you that actually the burpees felt like a rest compared to the press ups/squats!

Boobz I'd love to come to Barry's again with you but that time doesn't work - no childcare until 7am. Let's try to do a post work one when you're back in London again. On the diet - I bet you're super frustrated. I know you're an all or nothing person (takes one to know one Grin) but have you thought about setting a more manageable diet so that it's a bit harder to fall off the wagon? Maybe just 2 days of fasting per week, or zone with one cheat day, calorie count but to 1450kcals per day or something? Tell me to shut up if I'm being annoying tho! I did channel you at lunchtime tho - was going to have pudding and then I thought 'what would boobz do?' And just had a coffee!

Purpleraindeer · 22/03/2016 14:59

Sorry poppy -forgot to say congrats on the weight. Well done you!
And hope the house move wasn't too horrendous Caitlin. I last moved 7yrs ago and I'm in no hurry to do that again ....

Boobz · 22/03/2016 15:21

Hahaha Purple - channeling your inner Boobz. Sounds medically worrying!

I too only had coffee at lunch, instead of the amazing gelato on offer, so I was channeling my inner purple it seems, since we made the same decision.

I can't do cheat days, as like you said, I am all or nothing, so then I go MAD and I eat for Britain. I actually find fast days easier as I know I can't have anything so there is no agonising.

But maybe increasing to 1450 would work? I could see what that gets me extra on MFP. I fear it would open floodgates though, and I am doing so well at the moment... (it is only day 3 though...)
