New thread for an (almost) new year, and almost exactly a year since the start of the original thread!

And poppy - surely boobs are all fat? When I lost my baby weight I went from an f to a b cup. I barely need a bra these days. Seems v unfair - that was the one bit I'd have been happy staying as it was!

lavenderhoney · 16/03/2016 07:52

Thank you for the exercise tips! I will try and run a bit too, but I won't get so stressed if I can't run- my boss wants to up my hours as well, which might constrain me further!

i am low carbing too, which mfp doesn't seem to like which is a shame. I have some jeans that used to hang off me and now I can't begin to do them up so that's my aim- be able to wear my jeans.

Boobz · 16/03/2016 08:38

That's really interesting that HIIT is an appetite suppressor but long runs make you hungry - that would explain a lot! Am off to google.

Have just finished 15km - did it in a PB as well - felt so strong all the way around. But weirdly I wore a different running top today (sleeveless, as the sun is out and it's not too cold in the mornings in Rome anymore) and I have rubbed under my armpit and a bit behind... I think it's because I have to swing my arms differently now I am running with big fake boobs! Never had that problem before the op!

Am fasting today. I am starting to think a total ban on eating for a day is the only way I can control what I eat (and try not to over compensate on non-fast days).

An f to a b cup purple! I went from a d to an a and very saggy to boot. Just about the only silver lining from cancer is having a decent set of tits again :)

onlywhenyouleave · 16/03/2016 12:32

Weird, I am sure I typed a message this morning but it isn't there Confused

Anyway, boobz I agree with Purple that I am sure distance running would increase your appetite and just go with it until after the marathon training (although I notice you are fasting today Grin)

I have decided to just keep rotating round all 13 of the T25 workouts in order(substituting the burpee-hell of Speed 3.0 with the gentler Core Speed obviously Grin) rather then do 5 weeks of Alpha, 5 weeks of Beta etc as I like working out with weights and I don't want to wait 5 weeks to do it again. Did Core Cardio this morning with a bit too much modifying [embarrassed]. But onwards and upwards, tomorrow is another day.

However, on the plus side, this getting up at 5.15 is working. Not yet had a morning where I can't get out of bed and I don't have time to talk myself out of a workout - automatically just get dressed and go and do it plus it is freeing up my evenings. Plus, I guess it is technically fasting HIIT workouts which I am sure I read somewhere are more effective Hmm

RoastieToastieReastie · 16/03/2016 17:46

Hi all, was feeling really miserable earlier as this injury I've had has really pushed my fitness back and I'm on the second of two colds in a row meaning my energy etc isn't that great at the moment. This week best case scenario all I'll manage is 25 minutes on the treadmill earlier, 25 minute hiit workout on Monday, and another workout tomorrow. I'm the same weight I was a few months ago but definitely less toned so I've been losing muscle for sure. I was feeling down but then decided I'm feeling under the weather and have a nasty cold so to go to the gym to do a super quick run is better than nothing so I no giving up.

I'm just about to order the 22 minute hard corps, it's now on beach body website free delivery and £40 as opposed to £60. I think it came out yesterday or today.

RoastieToastieReastie · 16/03/2016 17:47

Also, find it very interesting about hiit suppressing calories, I always find when I workout my diet is better as it makes my inside feel healthier and want to put goodness in it (if that makes sense).

yumyumpoppycat · 16/03/2016 18:49

I am twitching Roastie!! £40 and in 2 easy payments..........

yumyumpoppycat · 16/03/2016 19:45

Ok I ordered it Blush what a palaver though 'do you want faster results (for an extra £40) how about getting leaner (extra £10) what about some supplements (£25 a month) !!

RoastieToastieReastie · 16/03/2016 20:03

I know yumy. I've never ordered from Bb direct before, always from Amazon and I'd be put off buying it with all of that selling at the end if I'd never bought bb and didn't know how good they are.

Purpleraindeer · 16/03/2016 21:58

GrinGrin poppy! I knew you'd be on and buying it! I'm planning to as well. Do you have to do it as 2x payments of £20? I couldn't work it out. There was so much enthusiastic selling stuff on the website it was like it was shouting at me!

Total synergistics for me tonight. Love that one. Definitely lost some strength whilst I've been resting my shoulder. Sad. Sad. Roastie - I feel the same frustration as you. I've always found it's quicker to get it back than it was the first time if that makes sense so hopefully we'll be fighting fit/strong again in no time!

yumyumpoppycat · 16/03/2016 22:22

Purple Yay! after you have been through the various upgrades there is an option for 1 convenient payment.

Flowers eleanor, purple, and Roastie hope you are all feeling on top form soon.

Lavendar you can customise your goals on MFP and change your macros.

Only your early workouts routine sounds like a good plan, total respect!

Boobz defo agree with others - marathon is worth a few lbs

lavenderhoney · 16/03/2016 22:46

I can't imagine running a marathon - I ran a 10k once and my over riding thought was " what are you doing!!!" I'm very impressed:)

I don't mind getting up early and doing t 25, and I quite like doing insanity in the evening, I was going to in the afternoon or after pick up but it just won't work for us.

I'm having to excercise with compact pant things on ( the glamour!) because my cs overhang ( a long time ago, had two, youngest DC is 6) bounces about and it hurts, and It affects my workout. It doesn't hurt when I run in running tights, so perhaps the DVDs are more effective in making me work. Wouldn't it be great if that went as well?:)

lavenderhoney · 16/03/2016 22:49

And thanks Yumy, I went on MFP but it wants me to upgrade to do that, and I don't really want to spend the cash. I shall use the mirror And scales instead. I'm quite ok with food, I don't like sweet things or bread/ pasta. It's just to track progress really. Ah well:)

EleanorAbernathy · 16/03/2016 23:03

I lost loads of weight when I first started running but then it stopped working and I put it all back on again! I think your body starts holding onto calories more, because it's thinking "Shit! I need to hang onto this, she's going to go off and run for miles and I'll die without some extra reserves!"
Agree a marathon is definitely worth it though - I don't think my legs would work for longer than half! I did 14 miles once, tend to do 10k at the most these days though!

I think I'm finally getting back into the swing of things - I got stuck at work and was home too late to do Max:30 yesterday (DP was alread vegged in front of the telly and I didn't want to interrupt him by doing my uncoordinated baby elephant impression!) so I did weights for the first time in ages, chest and back (so my biceps and triceps got a bit of the action by proxy) plus 20 mins HIIT on the treadmill.

I'm a bit sore today as a result so having a rest day, but going to attempt a 5k run tomorrow, then hopefully a Max:30 again on Friday and Saturday :)

I ordered Insanity AND Max:30 from the Beachbody site, it's nearly impossible to not end up accidentally buying a load of tat to go along with what you went on there for!

yumyumpoppycat · 16/03/2016 23:04

That's weird Lavendar I have PC and android version and can customise without upgrade, I just checked on my PC version, just ignore the locked button and select edit instead and then change them manually? Hope it works.

RoastieToastieReastie · 17/03/2016 06:25

Purple, it's completely annoying isn't it.

Well, I'm just deciding what workout to do this morning. I think I it do body pump revolution as otherwise I won't have done a weights all week.

onlywhenyouleave · 17/03/2016 07:00

Ooh you are all night owls looking at all the chat whilst I was in bed last night Grin although as my alarm goes off at 5.15, I need early nights!

I cannot imagine doing a marathon Confused I have run 10 miles on 2 seperate occasions when I was at my peak running fitness as me and my friend had booked onto a half marathon (which we never did in the end!) 10 miles nearly killed me - boobz, can't understand why you run those distances for fun Grin

Speed 2.0 done this morning. One of my favourite T25 workouts so I had fun.

My only issue with my new morning routine is that I am a 'sweater' when I exercise and despite a cold shower straight away, I am still having to blast my face with cold air from my hairdryer for 5 minutes to be able to put my make up on Blush

Boobz · 17/03/2016 09:08

Oooh look at all of you buying all your new work outs - it's like a Spring renaissance! I am such a creature of habit - I have gone as far as P90X and Insanity (original) and that's it - I know they work so I don't bother buying/doing anything else - I seem to have a high boredom tolerance, doing the same work outs over and over again...

I know what you mean about the running, but you do train yourself to like it I think, in the end... I remember when I did my first 10 mile run of the year back in January and I thought "Jesus H Christ I would NOT be able to do that again plus another 6 miles on top for fun!" and was quite worried. But if you follow the programme, your body just takes you there - when I ran 21 miles last Sat, the last 3 or 4 were tough but not insurmountable, and at the end I was sore, but tbh I just felt amazing about 3 hours later - zingy and impressed with myself and healthy and flushed but happy. So I love all the after effects of a long run, and you feel so worthy! I know I can do 26 miles now I did those 21. I always end up thinking about work whilst I run - I day dream about being promoted and running a big team when I get back to the UK in August. Dunno why that's my running thinking of choice. I run to hardcore drum and bass music but I've heard the same playlist so many times now I don't think I even hear it anymore (that doesn't make sense, I know).

Report back on the new work outs - you might just tempt me to break out of a habit since I am stopping training in April once mara is done (although will try to keep some running up I think). I keep promising to do P90X properly again though ....

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 17/03/2016 11:36

Hello! Nearly at the end of week 4 of Insanity. Really enjoying it. Body fat % now around 27 (down from 38 after I gave birth!)
Who's done p90x? I just got p90x3 cheap on eBay as I want to do more strength than Insanity offers.

Boobz · 17/03/2016 14:03

I have done P90X - before and after photos on my profile. Loved it! Did a couple of P90X3 work outs with Purple but didn't really get into it as was more fiddly (technique-based) than original P90X. Definitely go for it if you want some real muscle definition. Insanity much better for fitness though, overall.

RoastieToastieReastie · 17/03/2016 18:56

I did p90x after insanity and wasn't overly impressed with it but that may be comparably to insanity. I'm going to go back to it once my arm thing gets better as I can't do a lot of weights atm. I'd recommend it. I that p90x2 was fabulous as it's very dynamic but I found a lot of the moves tricky as my core isn't great and stuff on the ball was tricky.

Am I the only one to find the woman in p90x annoying btw? (Draya I think). I have no problem with any of the others but for some reason she irritates me maybe because she's so darn perfect at everything

Purpleraindeer · 17/03/2016 20:24

Hi guybrush. That's very impressive fat loss! I really like p90x3. Took a bit of getting used to (Tony's banter is a bit cheesy) but it is bloody effective at building strength and a good balance with insanity stuff. Some of the p90x3 work outs are not good (Pilates, agility x) so I've just stopped doing them but the rest are great.

Am feeling triumphant tonight. Had a v long day and was knackered when I got home. Lay on bed for a bit and was just about to flake out of work out and then I thought I'd just give it a try.... Did max out power from max30. First time I've done that one in months. Holy press up hell! I won't be able to brush my hair tomorrow but I feel great now!

Purpleraindeer · 17/03/2016 20:26

Dreya is not as annoying as the perfect blond girl in t25. She is all perfect, smiles and even sweats in a perfect attractive way. She makes me Angry

yumyumpoppycat · 17/03/2016 20:58

Wow Guy amazing fat loss!

I don't love dreya, I find the beyonce one in p90x3 slightly annoying. I am in awe of the perfect one with 6 kids in p90x3 and I like Tanya because she looks a bit crazy, also a soft spot for the less perfect one in T25 who sweats like crazy and does some of her pushups on her knees... I always wonder how she ended up being one of the cast.

I have to agree Purple that agility x isn't great. thats one I might swap for an Insanity max 30 workout when I am a bit more fit. PS well done on workout.

onlywhenyouleave · 17/03/2016 21:05

Which blond one in T25 as there are 2?? I hate them both by the way just because they are so bloody perfect Grin
