Hi all, I've just realised I maxed out our thread by posting the 1000th post earlier so I thought I should start a new one!

Hoping you all find me here...

Fullsteam - I think that's probably a good idea, hope the break sorts you out...

I have looked into the Body Coach. Looks fab and I could have probably done with that last August! Not saying I am perfect now,far from it, but don't feel I need that intense level of exercise and diet either. Going to have a look/try of some his recipes and workout videos though, food looks yummy!

Aiming to do killer buns level 2 tonight

yumyumpoppycat · 03/06/2015 18:34

So what kind of diet is it that this coach recommends does anyone know? I don't have instagram or twitter accounts.

Rest day for me so I had a 10 min stretch from a pilates dvd, I am rubbish at stretching, I can't even do those seated wide leg stretches, I make a very unimpressive v instead, but it did help with the knotty feeling!

Enjoy your week off fullsteam, well done pulling back for a bit on the exercise.

Hope you enjoyed KB&T Sarah and purple!

Jacksterbear · 03/06/2015 18:47

stonefree def take pics if only for yourself as the scales don't tell the full story!

Fullsteam hope the rest does you good and you get to the bottom of what's going on. Flowers

Purple did you manage to workout with your spectators/"helpers"? Grin My DC (8 and 4) do love to join in but really get in my way (not helped by my DS having motor skills difficulties amongst other things so being totally unco-ordinated! Grin).

Sarah have you done L2 KB&T yet? Have done it today - ooh! Fun but hard! But did pretty much nail all of it - including the moves (eg goddess reverse squats, one-legged burpees) that I remember just standing and laughing in disbelief at, the first time I attempted that level. Smile

Have not heard of this Body Coach thing - must look into it

Ooh cross-posted with you there poppy (slow typer) - pilates stretch sounds good.

Sarahlouboo · 03/06/2015 19:59

Yumyum - are you on Facebook? He has a website too. I think high protein/fat with some carbs chucked in after workouts. Very little sugar. All freshly prepared.

Jackster - yes! I felt the same! Hard but I remember doing it once before and thinking never again! This time I could at least do it all. It felt good knowing some of you were out there suffering too...My main problem is my attention span wavers after 25 mins! Good workout. Thinking of doing something different tomorrow to give my thighs a chance to recover. Maybe T25 Gamma Rip't.

Purpleraindeer · 03/06/2015 20:42

Yes i did level 1! Dd added extra resistance by pressing down on my legs at various points. Also provided motivation by pointing and laughing. Was strange doing a workout with so little cardio. Felt totally manageable, although those side planks with the leg lift were a bit tricky. It had mountain climbers which I remember doing in the shred and finding them absolutely horrendous. Now they're no problem at all

Hopefully I'll do level 2 tomorrow!
Poppy - this is the website for the body coach bloke. The transformations are amazing so he's doing something right

www.thebodycoach.co.uk

yumyumpoppycat · 03/06/2015 20:46

Ooh thanks sarahlou I am on facebook ... had a look and it seems quite paleoey from what I have seen so far.

Well done on level 2 Jackster I will do that tomorrow I think.

spookyskeleton · 03/06/2015 20:47

Just done piyo sweat - slightly easier than last time and I do enjoy the piyo workouts Smile

What on earth are reverse goddess squats??

The Body Coach - not sure what you get for your money as I haven't seen my friend to talk to but she did have to wait a week after paying to get her personalized diet plan. You can see some of his workouts on YouTube - they are very very basic HIIT workouts but clearly they are effective. The diet seems to be very high in protein and good fats, lots of coconut oil used in cooking, no processed food and no sugar.

yumyumpoppycat · 03/06/2015 20:48

Purple well done Grin your dd sounds cute, I also found side plank things hardest.

yumyumpoppycat · 03/06/2015 20:52

double cross central tonight....well done on piyo progress Spooky ...keep us updated on your friend's progress please Grin hope it work for her. coconut oil you say....I have a giant tub of that in my cupboard!

Sarahlouboo · 04/06/2015 13:21

I'm hurtin' in a good way!

stonefree · 04/06/2015 19:26

Jackster - a one legged burpee sounds horrendous!

T25 is going well. I feel like I should be doing more exercise though. Might start running a wee bit if I don't feel too tired after t25.

I'm so tempted to look into Insanity Max 30. Maybe once I complete t25.

Purpleraindeer · 04/06/2015 19:39

Insanity max30 has a 1 armed burpee. It is strangely difficult!
My legs are a bit sore today too Sarah. I'm surprised to be honest as I didn't think kb&t level 1 was that hard. Did you do level 2 today? I didn't as I prioritised haircut and child free lunch out. Will do it tomorrow am.
And a question for all of you - do you work, and if so, when do you work out? I'm back to work in a weeks time and I'm trying to work out exactly how to fit it in. I think to do it before work would be a 5am start as I leave the house at 7am which feels hardcore, but then I'm not sure I've got the discipline to do it at the end of the day either..... Thoughts?

Sarahlouboo · 04/06/2015 19:48

Hi everyone

Stonefree - are you used to doing more/harder workouts?

Spooky - a reverse goddess squat involved squatting v.low as if you are going to have a poo in the wild Grin then standing up into a normal squat. Hurts.

I did JM ripped in 30 level 1 tonight. Was ok. Rest days tomorrow and sat. Let myself down with a packet of Oreo cookies today Shock!

Sarahlouboo · 04/06/2015 19:51

Hi Purple x post. Yeah it is surprisingly hurty! I did level 2 yesterday. That is fun!

I work full-time and I workout when I get home but my DS is 7 and so tends to leave me be while I workout. I always used to workout in the mornings once upon a time but now I just want tea and toast and a cuddle with DS!

Are you looking forward to going back or dreading or somewhere in the middle?

spookyskeleton · 04/06/2015 20:01

purple I work 4 days a week. I aim for 5 workouts a week so I do one on my day off after I have done the school run,, one on each weekend day which just leaves 2 to do after workdays. I have to fit round the DC's numerous evening activities which is probably the hardest part but I try and work it with DH so we both get the chance to do a workout so, for example I will drop them off whilst Dh does his exercise then DH will pick them up whilst I do mine. I do find motivation hard on workdays, particularly when it is a workout I hate like core cardio and TBC

How are you feeling about going back?

One-armed burpees Shock as I can't do many normal burpees, I don't think I need to worry about mastering one-armed burpees just yet Grin

stonefree · 05/06/2015 00:46

Purple - I'm terrible at normal burpees never mind a one armed one! maybe I'll give max30 a wide berth for a while.

Sarah - i'm not exactly used to doing more as such, I think that I've just got a bit more time at the moment because I'm on business so don't have very much to do with my evenings.

I work full time too and I prefer to do a workout in the morning. I've got more energy and I like hopping straight into the shower after. However, this week I've lacked the motivation to get out of bed 25 minutes early so have been doing it after work.

Newrule · 05/06/2015 01:56

Was so tired today but found the strength to do the Max 30 Tabata Power.

I work long (often long hours) and fitting in the workouts is very difficult. I mainly do them in the late evenings.

yumyumpoppycat · 05/06/2015 10:36

Well done new rule on fitting the workout in - always best feeling after when you fit one in when lots going on.

Purple that is major going back to work, I'm sure you will be in the swing of things before you know it. Please don't stop posting though we would miss you, I love your positive posts! PS, when do you think you will be starting your next round of max 30 might be fun if I can overlap with newrule and you if you are starting again in a couple of weeks?

I am pretty lucky, I work pt in an office 2 days a week and from home the rest of the time. I usually exercise while the children eat breakfast but could do with getting up earlier tbh as its tight to be on time and they sometimes run riot (nursery, year 3, year 5). I do sometimes leave it until the eve and actually prefer it in a way but there is dinner to fit in etc, I usually have rest days during week rather than weekend.

KB&T l2 and 3 now done ... I am pants at burpees - esp one legged ones etc, but the advantage of doing the more tricky ones is it makes normal ones seem much easier afterwards! The chair moves on l2 weren't difficult but we dont have those kind of chairs so I felt perilously high on my dinning chair for the one legged step up thing! Still love Shaun T best but JM is def worth throwing into the mix occasionally!

Waves to and highfives to stonefree fullsteam, spooky, Jackster, saralou and boobz!!!

Sarahlouboo · 05/06/2015 11:51

Well done Newrule, always satisfying to squeeze a workout in, in spite of the odds being stacked against it!

Yumyum - I know what you mean about one armed burpees! I thought nah that's impossible! And then I managed a few before reverting to normal burpees which then seemed easy in comparison! I have missed out on KB & T L3 but plan to do it on Monday. A week of JM has been fun and made me ache but I have missed Shaun T, Jillian gets on my nerves now, I had to mute her and play music yesterday!

Jacksterbear · 05/06/2015 14:38

Just popping in quickly. Have completed the Jillian challenge! KB&T and 6W6P complete. Today (KB L3) was hard going!

Awesome work all. Have skim-read through and will catch up properly later. Star

Purpleraindeer · 05/06/2015 19:28

Oh no - I'm the odd one out - I've not finished my jm Challenge. I did l2 today and will do l3 tomorrow. Was v surprised at how hard l2 was. Evil goddess squats. Holy crap! I think I will be sore tomorrow. Also felt like my core had had a workout. Not sure why. I miss Shaun t and the cardio so will be back on that next week for sure. Happy to do another round of max30 with someone - just say the word and I'll start! Grin

Thanks for all the insight re working and exercising. I'm glad you lot all work too - makes me realise it's possible. As I've basically been pregnant or on Mat leave for the last few years, I've no idea how to exercise around dc. Poppy - I will do what you do I think - to start with I'm 3dpw, so only need to exercise on 1 of my work days. Will try to do it one eve. I will need to post on here to make sure I stay committed. It will be much easier to wimp out without you guys motivating me Smile. Also I need to stay in shape as I just threw away all my big clothes so I don't own anything bigger than a size 10.
Am quite looking forward to going back but am starting to feel a bit overwhelmed - it's gone so fast and I'm all settled in my routine and it's all going to change..... Eek!
Have a good evening all!

yumyumpoppycat · 05/06/2015 22:39

yes please Purple Grin what day can you start?

Sarahlou yes! that is exactly what I meant with burpees Grin

Well done on completing the challenge Jackster - total Star Grin
I am going to cheat a little and go 6 week 6 pack tomorrow instead of more ripd in 30, I have never done it before though and hate abs workouts.

Purpleraindeer · 06/06/2015 16:39

Argh so I STILL haven't completed the jm challenge. DH and I have a system where he goes for a run on one weekend day and I go the other. He decided that tomorrow was his day so instead of jm i went for a run. Got it wrong again and ran 8miles instead of the 6 I had planned Shock. Had a horrible stitch for a lot of it but was still great to be out in the good weather. Kb&t l3 tomorrow I promise!

Newrule · 07/06/2015 07:36

Thanks Sarah abd Yumyum.

Keep going everyone. Purple, I'm sure you'll find a way to fit exercise in when you return to work.

What is the JM challenge like? How does it compare to Insanity or Max 30?
