Hi all, I've just realised I maxed out our thread by posting the 1000th post earlier so I thought I should start a new one!

Hoping you all find me here...

Finally did kb&t l3. Took ages as dd kept pressing the reset button on dvd and then it went back to the beginning of the workout with no ability to fast forward. Most frustrating. So what with all of the enforced breaks it wasn't a very good workout. I've enjoyed doing a bit of jm but I find it hard to work hard enough to really feel tired at the end - I think for me it would be better to do fewer moves but for longer periods?

Anyway, back to max30 next week. I think I'm just going to start again from the beginning. Anyone want to join me - first work out is cardio challenge on Monday morning?

Sarahlouboo · 07/06/2015 19:15

Well done Purple.

Just done a six mile walk. Will finish JM challenge tomorrow then maybe some cardio before 3 peaks on Thursday. Eek!

Hope you are all having a nice weekend x

yumyumpoppycat · 07/06/2015 19:32

What is 3 peaks saralou.

I will join you tomorrow then purple ... my turn to eek!

Newrule I get more achey with JM which I am not sure if thats good or not! Her DVDs are v cheap esp the box sets. I prefer T25 but havent done insanity or max 30 yet. This is pretty good value jillian michaels box set

I have an exercise dvd buying problem bought this JM one last week, tried the yoga dvd today and it is really hard

Sarahlouboo · 07/06/2015 20:10

I am doing the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge Yumyum which involves walking between 21 and 24 miles (dependent on the route taken), over three mountains (mini mountains) within 12 hours.

Purpleraindeer · 07/06/2015 20:58

Ooh great poppy! Will be nice to have some max30 company.
Good luck for 3 peaks Sarah. I assumed it was the Ben Nevis/Scafell pike/snowdon one which seems to be as much about having a fast driver as it is about the walking. Yours sounds harder as you don't get a break in the car. Fingers crossed for good weather.

Sarahlouboo · 08/06/2015 09:11

Thanks Purple. I think the peaks are higher/weather more extreme on the national peaks and sleep deprivation can also be an issue! I don't fancy doing that at all! Really looking forward to the Yorkshire version though. And then looking forward to getting back into T25. Thinking of doing a T25 hybrid next for a month or so.

Gonna finish my JM challenge with KB & T 3 later on today.

Boobz · 08/06/2015 09:21

Legs aching from P90X legs and back yesterday.

About to do Insanity month 2 work out - not sure which one yet.

And then will squeeze in another work out tomorrow before catching my plane for chemo - can't believe it's been 3 weeks already! It comes around fast. Only 2 more of these and then I swap to the weekly drug regime - god knows how I am going to squeeze in work outs, work, children and life on top of weekly chemo and flights - argh!

BRING IT

Jacksterbear · 08/06/2015 12:58

Hey everyone. Hope you've had nice weekends. Good luck to those of you starting Max 30 today! And well done to everyone who did the JM week last week.

Boobz I have faith you will find a way to make it all work, somehow. You are awesome. Star

I tried to start this Hip Hop Abs / PiYo hybrid today, but randomly the Day 1 workout was one of the bonus HHA workouts which is clearly intended to be quite advanced (on the co-ordination / knowing the moves front, not from a fitness point of view), so I had to abandon that after 10 mins as I was just standing there going Confused Hmm. So I did the basic cardio HHA, and even that was quite hard to follow! Think I have no chance with Cize when it comes out! But will stick with this hybrid for the meantime and see how I get on.

Newrule · 08/06/2015 15:07

Hi Boobz, I've been absent for a while. Saw you mention chemotherapy. Very sorry that you have cancer. My thoughts are with you. You can beat this!

spookyskeleton · 08/06/2015 19:31

boobz if anyone can make it work it is you Smile

Sarah I would love to do something like the 3 peaks - me and DH used to walk loads preDC and I used to really enjoy it. Much more than running Grin

Well I am NEVER doing Speed 3.0 again!! Did it tonight and it was horrific - burpee move after burpee move. Spent most of the time stood there with my mouth like this --> Shock Hmm if it appears on my hybrid schedule again, I am switching it to speed 2.0 Grin

I guess that is what Insanity is like??

Purpleraindeer · 08/06/2015 21:59

Hope you get your work out in tomorrow boobz.
Jackster - I find that sort of work out so frustrating. I'm not very co-ordinated so it doesn't take much to confuse me! Good for you for bailing - much better to do that and switch to something where you actually get a work out.
Spooky- your post made me laugh. I think it's the thought of your face as each move turned out to be a burpee! I'm going to regret asking, but exactly how many different types of burpee are there? Speed 2.0 def sounds preferable.

I went back to the beginning of max 30 and did cardio challenge. Yay! I love cardio. I feel almost high after a really hard cardio work out. Still can't do wide in-out abs with shoulder taps properly. I can't work out why I find them so hard, but I do.

Sarahlouboo · 09/06/2015 07:46

Boobz - how are you feeling at the moment? Sounds as though you are still doing the hardcore workouts in spite of everything?

Spooky - yes I prefer long walks to long runs (no surprises there!), I did a half marathon the year before last and found the training pretty mind numbing but I enjoy the chat and scenery on long walks. I am really glad that someone at work suggested doing the three peaks because it means I have some walking buddies now and I have even found out that some of my own friends enjoy walking so I can hopefully get a couple of good long walks in every month.

Jackster - sounds complicated but fun! I like the look of Cize! But I do get frustrated when I can't do moves.

Hi to everyone else Smile

So I did T25 Gamma Rip't last night. DH didn't fancy KB & T! Ha, too hard core for him Grin! Weight loss has stalled but I feel more in control than I did a couple of weeks ago, clothes still fit, feel strong, got my health and happiness, trying to ignore the numbers on the scales!

Sarahlouboo · 09/06/2015 07:48

Oh and Speed 3.0 is just ridiculous Grin! I get dizzy doing all those burpees!

spookyskeleton · 09/06/2015 09:08

Well there were at least 6 different types... Burpees with spider lunges, burpees with push ups, burpees with ski abs, burpees with pike ups...you get the picture!! Never, never again Grin

yumyumpoppycat · 09/06/2015 09:45

Jackster sometimes with those type of workouts it suddenly clicks after a couple of goes and then gets more fun so fingers crossed! I am v uncoordinated too.. I guess on the upside it is probably giving our brains a work out too!!

Sarahlou 3 peaks sounds amazing...wow! Hope it goes well.

Spooky Grin ... not planning on joining the 100 burpee challenge then Wink plain burpees is a different kettle of fish to what speed 3.0 sounds like though ... !

Boobz ...chemo every 3 weeks sounds hard... but Grin @ bnng it!!

Stonefree how are you going with T25?

Purple and newrule I am really enjoying max 30 ..... so far ....

I couldn't help but grin at the end of cardio yest it is a good feelig when it done. I maxed at 7.55 for cardio and tabata today I maxed at around 10 mins and that was even with modifiying the plyo push ups. I looooove the structured water breaks. I mostly had to modify the ab work towards the end though so the modifier version is helpful.

Boobz · 09/06/2015 18:20

It took me about 3 weeks from starting the hybrid but am now replacing the month 1 insanity work outs month 2 work outs and although I am still not as fit as I was pre lumpectomy, I am getting there! I am hovering around the 55kg mark which for me is about 4 kilos too heavy but I am trying to give myself a break. I did Max Intervals circuits yesterday which is the longest month 2 Insanity work out - 59 minutes - and it does go on forever... I didn't take a "mini break" (about a 10 second breather) until 48 minutes in so I was pleased. I was fecking sweaty at the end of it too.

I didn't work out this morning in the end - stayed up too late watching Game of Thrones last night so was a bit knackered this morning!

Er, fullsteam you've had your week off now - where are you??

Purpleraindeer · 09/06/2015 20:27

Good work on max intervals boobz. that is the only insanity work out I've done. It is looooong!

Bloody good effort on max30 poppy. I can't believe you got to 10mins on the tabata one. I'm still maxing out on the press ups circuit despite having done that work out a lot of times. Glad you're enjoying it.

Rest day tomorrow. Yay!

Sarahlouboo · 10/06/2015 06:52

Hi everyone, just quickly popping on to say well done on all your hardcore work outs. Did t25 speed 2.0 last night. My fave cardio workout. Been a while since I have done it and I could do it all without any breaks or modifications - very satisfying! Rest day today, 3 peaks tomorrow. Hope you all have a good couple of days and I'll catch back up later in the week.

Purpleraindeer · 10/06/2015 08:30

Good luck Sarah! I hope the weather is good and you enjoy it. Am jealous

yumyumpoppycat · 10/06/2015 10:55

Good luck Sarah!

Well done Boobz, you are doing amazing, inspirational. You might need those extra few kgs during your treatments ahead anyway.

Thanks purple! Slightly less impressive results today, I did the sweat one today ....certainly an accurate name, the last 10 mins were a slog. Pushups did me in again, like shanita (?) I was ready to quit after one minute but I kept going till 6.50, and actually stunning super jumpy melissa (?) maxed at that time so I didn't feel too bad after watching the bit where they reveal the max out times Gin

Keep on going everyone!

yumyumpoppycat · 10/06/2015 10:57

link fail ... ah well Wine cheers all Grin

yumyumpoppycat · 10/06/2015 18:09

P.s Hope you are doing ok Fullsteam x

Purpleraindeer · 11/06/2015 10:11

Did sweat intervals this am. Maxed out at roughly the same time as you poppy when I fell on the floor doing press ups. That work out is hard. I think it's the hardest of month 1. I do enjoy the power jump/fall to floor press up one tho - makes me feel hardcore.
And shanita makes me laugh. She really seems to hate Shaun t when he points out that she's maxed out!
Hope you all have a good day. Is sunny here. Will miss the sunshine when I'm back at work next week Sad

Jacksterbear · 11/06/2015 13:57

Sarah hope your 3 peaks challenge has gone well today.

Purple and poppy, inspiring stuff. V tempted to order max 30!

Still roughly following the HHA/PiYo schedule. Have done 2 more HHA and yest did a double PiYo (define upper and lower - so not really a true double as 2 relatively short, easy ones!). Am also back on MFP for a week or 2 as weight has crept up a couple of lbs.

Boobz I've lost track slightly but think you might be having chemo today - hope it's going ok if so. Flowers

Hi to everyone else and keep it up! Star

yumyumpoppycat · 11/06/2015 17:56

Purple Shanita is so dramatic when she is tired out Grin Tabta again today -I really struggled, more than last time but I got a bit further along thanks to modifiying push ups (although I think from a form point of view maybe I should have quit earlier!)

Hope all well Boobz

Sadly jackster I need to get back on mfp for the same reason. Have been dairytastic today but managed my first day in ages sweets and wheaty stuff free today at least. Had eggs and spinach instead of a PHD shake for breakfast and think it was more filling.

Hope peaks was good sarah!
