Hi all, I've just realised I maxed out our thread by posting the 1000th post earlier so I thought I should start a new one!

Hoping you all find me here...

Welcome back Sarah. Hope you had a good week. Was a lovely day for a run - well it was where I am anyway.

Fullsteam and spooky - we've all been derailed this week. I've had all the same problems - missed 2 workouts due to indolence, ate too much, went out and then got a hangover too.

I'm back on it today tho. Was aiming to run 6miles but slightly overshot and did 7.5. Felt great even tho it was a tough off road hilly route. Legs are killing now. God knows what they'll feel like tomorrow Shock. I rewarded myself when I got home with dd's kinder bar which I didn't want her to eat. What a hypocrite!
Have a good evening all!

Jacksterbear · 31/05/2015 16:23

Hi all. Welcome back Sarah.

Fullsteam, sorry to say that my squat challenge efforts have tailed off and now I'm too far behind to catch up. Sorry! Blush

So for those in on the JM challenge (me, poppy, Purple, I think - anyone else?), I propose that the challenge is: everyone does 2 JM DVDs of their choice (including all the levels on each DVD). So, eg RI30 (4 levels) plus 6W6P (2 levels); or 30DS (3 levels) plus KB&T (3 levels), and so on. Whatever combination people choose. Then everyone can choose from their own DVD collections or whatever is available on YouTube etc. Does that work for people? Or do people think it would be more fun to all do the same thing?

Have done 30DS (all 3 levels) plus 2x piyos this week.

yumyumpoppycat · 31/05/2015 19:29

I am so up for extreme JM Jackster Grin .. I will try and go along with other people's choices. Then I can start a bbl and piyo hybrid the following week.

My latest BBL workouts (I'm not following the schedule) are bum bum, which was fine there was only one move I couldn't do where you squat down and put your hands on the floor behind you, (I think that came up in T25?) and high and tight which was pretty burntastic as had ankle weights and a resistance band.

yumyumpoppycat · 31/05/2015 20:01

Oh well done on run purple that is amazing... how do you measure the miles ran, do you have an app?

Sarahlouboo · 01/06/2015 07:48

Hi Jackster - I am up for the JM challenge. Is it just for one week then? I would like to do Killer Buns and Thighs plus one other as I am trying to get some work in on my lower half in prep for 3 peaks. I will start tonight! Fab! X

yumyumpoppycat · 01/06/2015 09:30

Oooh great I might go to Killer buns tomorrow then sarahlouboo dep on my knees! I realised I needed to get started on JM this morning so I tackled level 1 ripd in 30 - I have defo made progress since I last tried it a year or so ago and hated it Grin woo hoo! There were a few dc interruptions though which prob helped tbf..

I think I am getting there with push ups too thanks to piyo and t25. I more or less did the JM workout unmodified - I did 3 or 4 trys at pushups on my toes and then went to knees, I modified one other thing but can't remember what. My weights are 3.4 lbs each according to my kitchen scale .. I might add another weight on ... I have these, looks like they have been discontinued, I imagine because they can loosen up when being used www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Reebok-Weights-With-Weights-Workout-Programme-Adjustable-Weights-/121666176233

My legs have been tres clicky so I think its good to have a break from BBL in-case its something in that workout.

Fullsteam I am in awe of your 1.5 hr yoga session btw. My p90x has turned out to be a great bargain, it is in perfect condition by the look of it....I watched some of the intro .. it seems totally full on? I am planning to try one workout next week, I think one a week will be enough for me. Be interested to find out how p90x2 goes for you.

Purpleraindeer · 01/06/2015 11:06

I'm def up for the Jm challenge. I will also do killer buns and thighs as I've not even tried it. Can't start till thurs as life will get in the way for the next few days. Mind you, that's a good thing - I've done 3 hard work outs in 3 days so I need a rest day or 2. Am looking forward to hearing how everyone else gets on with killer buns so I know what to expect
Well done on the push ups poppy. Wasn't that one of your goals?
I did my last ever Friday fight 2 this am and have now finished max30. I can't believe I got thru it as I found it super hard to start with. I'm still not close to my goal of getting thru the whole workout without stopping so there's still work to do!
I can't remember who asked, but I use map my run to measure distance and pace for runs.

Jacksterbear · 01/06/2015 11:18

Congrats on finishing max 30 Purple. And on the push ups achievement poppy. StarStar

I'm up for KB&T too, plus I think either 6w6p or ES&S (both of which have 2 levels), as I think more than 5 workouts in a week is not realistic for me. Have not done KB&T for a while, but I remember L1 being nice and easy but L2 (and 3, but 2 more so) living up to the "killer" title! Grin

OP posts:
yumyumpoppycat · 01/06/2015 11:36

Thanks P&J Grin I need dp to confirm that I have done one properly and then that will be a goal checked off woop!

KB&T tomorrow then and a rest on wed for me as I can't remember when I had one but defo due for one by then I think. I have done some admin work from home and just did a 10 min pilates workout to avoid house work 10 min silhouette.

Purpleraindeer · 01/06/2015 13:12

What is es&s jackster?

Jacksterbear · 01/06/2015 13:52

Extreme Shed and Shred

OP posts:
Sarahlouboo · 01/06/2015 15:29

Exciting! I did KB & T level 1 a couple of weeks ago and found it a good workout! Not too hard but obviously reaching some parts that T25 hasn't!

I am trying to be super good this week with my diet as well. I have been indulging a bit too much and drinking most nights. I have noticed it around my stomach but I don't dare get on the scales until I am feeling better! Currently eating Ainsley Harriott mushroom cup a soup, 88 cals and it tastes of glue! Hmm

Sarahlouboo · 01/06/2015 18:53

DS and DS hogging the TV so I had to make do with JM Shred Level 2. Still properly sweating! But this time around doing all the advanced moves and heavier weights so hopefully have progressed since last year! Will do Killer Buns and Thighs tomorrow. Being in the bedroom I was able to have a ponce in front of the mirror. Pleased with definition in calves, arms coming on nicely, bum ok, stomach a disaster area after a couple of months of not really eating healthily!

Jacksterbear · 01/06/2015 20:10

Sarah I've been slipping into the habit of a glass or 2 of wine most nights, too. Blush Need to cut back to a couple a week instead! Well done on Shred L2. I did KB&T L2 and agree - fun and not too hard but definitely you can feel it working the legs!

OP posts:
Jacksterbear · 01/06/2015 20:10

I meant L1 KB&T.

Hello all - flew back in to Rome on Friday and then had to pack for camping and then went to the Italian coast in our big bell tent (DH LOVES camping) and only got back last night, so haven't worked out since Thursday morning - argh! Am about to do Cardio Power and Resistance and I will probably do ab ripper x as well, as I feel like I have eaten too much carby stuff whilst camping.

FullSteam I am a bit behind with travelling and camping so will be starting the recovery week on Thursday, but tbh, I may just go straight into Month 2 as I feel like I have already had a rest this week! But yes the yoga is hard core - I might do that one next week at some point.

Well done to everyone else - have to do my UK AND Italian tax returns today (deep joy) so better get on and do this work out - will read up on everyone else's stuff later - but have fun with JM (do not own even one of her workouts!)

Oh and P90X2 is quite different I think - much more about your core and stability exercises...

Newrule · 02/06/2015 09:09

Hello All

I am doing Insanity Max 30 and really like it. It is tougher in many respects than Insanity. The shorter time suits me but on a Sunday I sometimes include an Insanity Month 2 workout.

I am doing a version of Zone (I think). I bought some measuring containers from Beachbody and I am following the Max 30 eating plan (well 99% of it). Hoping to lose a stone to take me back to my pre-baby days of 56kg. I am just too greedy I guess.

yumyumpoppycat · 02/06/2015 12:42

Welcome back newrule, I was wondering about you and also newbie - great to hear you are enjoying max 30, I have that one stashed away to start at some point.

Boobz camping sounds fun Grin

JM KB&T level 1 done....poor old Natalie - must be distracting having JM making jokes in her ear the whole time, no wonder she falls over, I wonder if the modifier gets jealous or is v relieved!

I am really p'd off about my weight - I have taken my eye off the ball over half term and gained 6lbs - I haven't been that crazy Hmm - hopefully its just water weight but i hoped exercise meant I wouldn't gain weight even if I didn't lose any....the thing that annoys me is I am clearly going to have to either lowish carb (no bread, biscuits etc) or calorie count forever

Sarahlouboo · 02/06/2015 13:07

Hi everyone,

Yumyum - I feel your pain! I only need to relax for a couple of days and the weight piles back on! But hopefully the majority of yours is water retention. No way can you have put on 6lbs of fat! I also have clicky knees at the moment, think from the longer distances I have been doing.

Boobz - hope you have got your tax returns out of the way, urgh!

Hi Newrule, glad you are enjoying Max 30. It gets a lot of mentions on here so I will have to look at that one in the future.

Jackster - glad you enjoyed it. I felt nicely aching last night. It was good to do some body resistance/weights after mainly cardio activities for the past two weeks.

Purple - well done on the long run btw. And eating your DD's kinder bar was a selfless act Grin. Our DS (well we) have had a ticking off from the dentist, in spite of our best efforts he has had to have a couple of fillings. I want to wail in a middle class manner "it is probably all the fruit he eats!".

Jacksterbear · 02/06/2015 16:13

Sarah that dentist comment made me Grin as my dentist is always warning of the dangers of fruit (particularly sultanas - pure evil for the teeth, apparently) and I always nod and smile and keep quiet about all the biscuits and chocolate! BlushGrinBlush

Welcome back Newrule, sounds like you are doing great on the exercise front.

6w6p L1 done today. So plan for rest of week is: L2 KB&T, L2 6w6p, and L3 KB&T. poppy I quite like it when JM teases her helpers - makes me laugh!

Waves and high-fives to everyone else.

I'm on alpha w2d2. I need to try and do it in the morning before work but i'm struggling to get out of bed early enough.

Does everyone measure inches and take before and after pictures? I wish I was brave enough to post them (saying that I don't have any after pictures yet haha).

spookyskeleton · 02/06/2015 18:16

Hi everyone Smile

Just checking in - been away with friends for the last 4 days so have eaten and drunk SO much!!

Will try and catch up with everyone but wondered if anyone else has seen the Body Coach on FB? Some of the transformation photos are amazing! My friend signed up last week and is one week in - she said she is eating more than ever but has lost 6lbs. The meal portions are huge but you have to prepare everything fresh and do a HIIT workout 4-5 times a week. Am tempted but it is about £150 for a personalized diet... Has anyone else seen it?

Sarahlouboo · 02/06/2015 21:03

Ooo Spooky that sounds intriguing! What exactly do you get for £150?

Jackster - oh yes, it's totally the sultanas Wink! Actually come to think of it he did go through an obsessive raisin phase Grin.

Stone free - not everyone posts pics, don't feel obliged! Nice to take for your own viewing pleasure tho. And it is very satisfying to see the inches going down if you measure yourself.

Done KB & T level 1. Thighs nipping!

Fullsteamahead · 02/06/2015 21:34

Hi all, sorry for a long absence again.

Spooky, I'm following Body Coach on FB, his meals are cool as most of them are super quick and there a lots of quick videos on meal making on his Instagram page too. Haven't thought about personalised programme as it is indeed rather pricey.

Ok, I'm having an unplanned week off. Yes, a whole week off!!!
Something really weird has been happening to my body lately, I've not had period in almost two months now and before you ask, no, I'm not pregnant, already checked :) After doing some research online I've come to the conclusion that I totally screwed my hormones after rapidly losing weight since February. I wanted to go to the doctor yesterday but the one I like is off on holiday this week so will have to wait till Monday. I'm not even sure what, if anything, can be done about it but feel rather helpless now.
Other symptoms I've been experiencing is feeling bloated and my tummy feeling almost like a balloon, it's been very frustrating as I started to feel that the more I exercised the fatter I felt! The water retention is definitely a huge issue here too, I've been monitoring my weight daily for the last 3 weeks and I went from 54.7 kg on 20/05 to 56.1 kg yesterday and then today a sudden drop to 55.7 kg.

Anyway, I'm enjoying my week off, eating whatever I want with no restrictions and just having long daily walks instead. I'm seriously considering changing my schedule and going back to T25 or Insanity Max 30, something shorter and more manageable on a daily basis that won't push my body into a huge overdrive.

I'm so glad you are all still going strong and rocking!!! Well done on your JM challenge, keep it up, can't wait to join you all again!

Purpleraindeer · 03/06/2015 07:17

Just popped in - no exercise to report as lovely rest day yesterday.
Full steam - sounds v sensible to take a rest. Enjoy it. I do think that everyone's body has a natural weight irrespective of bmi etc so maybe you've just gone below yours?
is the fb guy the one who was profiled in the times this weekend? He sounded great and from what I read totally worth the £150. I think you get a diet plan and exercise plan and some sort of online support. Sounded great. Despite having a wobbly tummy still I can now see bones in my chest so I don t want to lose any more weight so I won't be signing up but I would have 2mths ago
Welcome back new rule. Glad you're enjoying max30. I loved it. The Max power work out was my nemesis with those horrible press ups!
Hi to everyone else. Hopefully going to do kb&t later. Will be whilst looking after ds and dd so is dependent on their goodwill, and the under 2's aren't renowned for that so fingers crossed!
