Eleanor! Has month 2 knackered you out so much that your fingers are too tired to type?!

Ed - I did diet to start with as I needed to lose some baby weight. I just calorie counted using myfitnesspal rather than doing anything particularly clever. I've now lost 30lbs and am happy with my weight so I'm not really watching my diet anymore.

Did gamma speed tonight. I really like that workout spooky. We're exercise opposites!

I actually really enjoyed today's workout, I was worried it would be as bad as Pure Cardio only longer, but he explains the moves more in between to give me a break! :)

Managed a run tonight - only did 3.6k but that involved 16 minutes of hill reps which were difficult but I quite enjoyed it!

Fast day today and I am awake at half 4... going to be a loooong day Sad

Good work on the hill reps spooky. That's hard core training! Whatever were you doing up at 4.30am?? Ds has (finally) started to sleep thru this week so regularly being up in the small hours is hopefully a thing of the past for me......

Well done on the hill training Spooky. I did a steady 4 mile run last night (No max 30 yet) and outdoor circuit training at 6 this morning ShockGrin. Really enjoyed it though, a good start to the day. Probably be in bed by 9 tonight!

Good for you getting up and working out early. I love doing that. I did it loads on holiday as it was too warm to exercise later in the day. Might go back to working out before work again now I'm getting more sleep.
Did t25 lower focus at lunchtime. I cannot believe how many squats and lunges there are in it. my legs burned. I didn't actually get puffed out tho so i guess that is because I'm fitter than when I last did it?

purple how is work going? Are you back in the routine? Am working 5 days this week (usually only work 4) and it feels like the longest week ever Wink

Just done Abs Intervals - I really really enjoyed it! I am sure it was much harder first time around so that is a good sign right? The first sequence of exercises where you switch between downward dog and plank stuff - am sure I couldn't do it all and it was relatively easy today (or I am just kidding myself Grin)

Sorry Purple, I didn't see/comment on the fact that your DS has started to sleep thru. That is fabulous and good timing, clever boy Grin. Yes I always used to workout in the mornings pre-DS and it does set you up for the day. Lower focus is tough but yes you must be fitter if you felt less out of puff. I know it sounds a bit thick but I still find the continual improvement in fitness a bit of a pleasant surprise, like when I run a quicker 5k or I come back to a workout and can do most (never all Grin) of the hard bits.

Spooky, haven't done the abs one in ages. Might give that a whirl later as my knees are a bit achey after running and circuit training.

Well I don't want to bring a downer to this lovely thread but one of my parents dear friends died yesterday in a motorbike accident. Still in shock and so upset for his lovely family. So that's why I am up early and not sure what to do with myself. Hope you all have a good day and give your loved ones an extra squeeze!

T25 alpha cardio done. I took a max out approach so found it a pretty decent workout and red face by the end but not feeling like I might collapse!

EdmondDante Boobz is our p90/ hardcore expert so might have some tips on adding weights, I have added in a kettlebell dvd.

This is a really good workout scheduler, which is a UK site hybrid

yum what does max out mean? Have heard you all mention it on here but having never done insanity, I don't understand Confused

It is now the weekend Grin my abs are hurting today which is a first following a T25 workout - must have put some proper effort in last night. Going to do gamma pyramid shortly.

I'm sure you're loads fitter than when you started so no wonder ab intervals felt easier. I think those core exercises are deceptive as you don't realise how much stronger you get in the core even from doing high knees etc. max30 has no sit ups Etc at all but I still found ab intervals much easier - must have been all of those evil pike ups and press ups!

Sarah Flowers. That's awful news. Maybe a nice run to clear your mind? Always helps me.

Rest day today and then hopefully a run and max30 over the weekend. Am in 2 minds as to whether to do gamma t25. I don't like using weights much but I do like trying some thing new..... Could anyone be persuaded to do a t25 gamma week next week to motivate me??

purple I LOVE gamma (apart from speed 3.0 of course Grin). I do enjoy weights though which is why it probably appeals to me. Have just done Pyramid which is much harder than it appears!! I am definitely up for a gamma week next week but I will be substituting speed 3.0 with core speed. I can start Sunday??

Hi Geeky - me too :) Where are you up to?

Only one more workout to do and I've finished the first week of the scary Insanity month! My abs are quite tender today, I didn't really get that in month 1. There's a lot of plank stuff going on, that must be it!

I've been starting work at midday for the last couple of days so got up earlier than normal to fit in my workout first. I found Max Recovery all kinds of boring stretchy hell! It was worse than Cardio Recovery, and I spent most of it swearing at Shaun T.

It went mainly like this:

Shaun T: Go deeper into that stretch!
Me: Fuck OFF.

I think the fact I just woke up in a really bad mood didn't help!

Max Interval Circuit this morning was great though! I started off all sluggish and didn't really want to do it, but soon picked up and felt great by the end. I didn't swear either!

Question - I've been looking at The Body Coach, has anyone here tried it? I want to finish Insanity first, but I emailed them with a few queries and they seem helpful. It looks like it may be doable alongside Max 30 :)

I take maxing out as seeing how far into the workout you can go at full effort and keeping up with the workout without failing during an exercise/move and having a cheeky lie down breather .... I might have it all wrong though! I think on some subconscious level I pace myself a bit unless I really 'focus' on going all out.

Am watching biggest loser australia 2012 at mo Blush there are def some bad habits/traits in the contestants I see in myself...quite interesting though that they can all do situps....I was so proud of my situpping ...wails

My abs are really hurting today - going to do abs intervals regularly as it clearly works.

Going for a run shortly - aiming for 7k but not sure I will make it!

Omg just did max 30 cardio challenge ShockShock! Found it really hard compared to t25! Suppose I have been fairly in my comfort zone. Maxed out at 7 minutes! But I feel good now, definitely going to challenge me which I need before my holiday. Well done everyone else. I always find that abs interval workout a good one Spooky!

Glad you've started max30 Sarah. It is v different to t25. Much more cardio so feels a lot harder to start with! I did cardio endurance (the month 2 cardio workout) this am. Was fun, but did some swearing at Shaun t as he was being too happy whilst I suffered! Max out at 7mins is good for a first go! After the whole of max30 I can get thru the whole working without maxing out.

Def up for a gamma challenge spooky. Shall we just do all the gamma workouts next week? Does it matter what order I do them in?
