Hi everyone, new thread started! Grin

OP posts:
emummy · 31/05/2015 18:45

Brilliant thank you! Rained a bit at the start then was dry with a breeze but no strong winds. I felt nice and relaxed all through, really enjoyed the run and did it in 2:19:23. Really pleased as I was really hoping to squeeze in under the 2:20 mark and I did! Had only around 3 hours sleep the night before, so felt very dopey in the morning but the run woke me up!
Well done on your relay Anglaise
So 13.1 to add but can't see total as phone playing up - still driving home! Will add it when I get home unless someone else can do it before then.

Anglaise1 · 31/05/2015 18:47

I forgot to add my mileage Blush
14.5
1661,67

Anglaise1 · 31/05/2015 18:49

Congrats emummy on breaking the 2H20 Flowers especially on 3 hours sleep! I'll add your 13,1 miles to the total as I have my calculator out. Drive home safely.

lastqueenofscotland · 31/05/2015 18:55

good for you Anglaise!!
Nothing quite like picking people off is there.

HalleLouja · 31/05/2015 19:13

Finished my Every Day in May with 6.5 miles. I have ran, walked and cycled 202 km (plus some extra walking around the place) in May.

That makes 1681.27

Thanks for all your support. I did it. I even sprinted the last bit downhill. I loved my run today. Went with some friends and bumped into some club mates so all went together. A new route, we got soaked but it was fab.

Well done everyone out racing today.

holmessweetholmes · 31/05/2015 19:25

Well done emummy and HalleLouja! Not looking good for my HM, I don't think. It's a week today. I haven't run since Saturday and have now got a chesty cough. If I feel totally better by Sunday I'll still have a go, but I will have to be really properly better.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 31/05/2015 20:11

Wow some fantastic running on here. Well done to everyone - runtothehills you are amazing! Anglaise I can picture you swooping down on all the poor runners and overtaking them Smile emummy well done on beating your target Smile. Halle you are a marvel!

holmes hope you feel better soon.

8.5 early evening miles from me. I really needed a good stress buster today and it worked Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 31/05/2015 21:16

Well done Anglaise1, emummy and HalleLouja! Fantastic achievements all of you Grin

I thought if I felt better id do a parkrun freedom run but I climbed both sets of my stairs this morning and felt so lightheaded I thought it wasn't a great idea!! Had a lovely long walk in the rain with my boys and dogs and will run Tuesday as we're out tomorrow evening. Not much appetite today but not feeling sick or shivery and my headache was gone by the time I got up for the night feed Smile

cinnamongreyhound · 31/05/2015 21:18

Also meant to say I'm quite chuffed to have added mileage for may as I hadn't planned to run at all until my 6 week check. Have got my first race on 26th June which I know I won't beat my pb of but hope to enjoy it all the same. Still undecided whether to enter Norwich half as I missed it last year but definitely going to do the 10k there August bank holiday weekend.

Neeko · 31/05/2015 21:31

Hi. Well done to all of you adding miles this past week. I had to give in after Wednesday with my uti and I'm not going to run again until this Wednesday to ensure I'm fully better.

LaughingM · 31/05/2015 21:46

Very well done on your races runtothehills and emummy and anyone else who I've missed.

Halle amazing achievement! I bet you're looking forward to a day off tomorrow!

Holmes what a pain to get ill so close to your half - I hope you feel better in time, but look after yourself!

I haven't run since tuesday for no reason other than I couldn't be bothered. I've also been having lots of delicious naughty treats so I am thinking about having a go at Juneathon to get back into a better routine. I'm just not sure if I can really find 30 mins every single day! Is anyone else doing it this year? Blathers, was it you who posted you were going to?

I also haven't added on any miles for a while, so I've got 1689.77 + 2.4 + 3.1 + 7.5 = 1702.77

lastqueenofscotland · 01/06/2015 07:54

Hi all just woken up and my sore knees actualy has bruises on it... Any ideas?? Was planning to run home tonight now not so sure

AnnPerkins · 01/06/2015 12:31

Hi everyone.

Wow! runtothehills, Anglaise1, emummy and HalleLouja. You're all setting the standard for effort and commitment. It's really inspiring.

I haven't heard of visible bruising caused by running injury lastqueen. I hope it's nothing too severe when you're feeling so motivated. It's so frustrating when injury gets in the way of your enthusiasm isn't it.

I'm afraid I have just last night's 3.2 miles to add to the May total = 1705.97 Although I was quite proud of myself for getting out at all after a weekend of camping with friends and associated excesses.

I like the look of that Juneathon but I can't run every day for fear of shin splints. I need to do more stretching and core strength exercise though so it would do me good to alternate them with running for a month.

familygermsareok · 01/06/2015 14:54

Ooh, can I be the first to start the June miles? 14.46 from me today, very pleased as I've only ever run over 14 once before. Though I was happy to get home again today! Smile

familygermsareok · 01/06/2015 15:00

14.46

Really well done to emummy, Anglaise and tiredemma, your races sounded fantastic.
And brilliant effort Halle, you did it! Smile
Good luck to the Juneathon-ers.

Don't know about bruising lastqueen. Is it sore to press on over bruise? Is knee swollen and are you able to bend and straighten it as normal?

Anglaise1 · 01/06/2015 16:44

Family well done on your longest run ever - a lot of mileage to kick off the month of June! I can add a little 5.6 from my easy recuperation run this evening.
20.06

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 01/06/2015 18:57

5.13 rather damp miles from me - my socks are soaked through from running on the grass. Lots of bunny rabbits hopping around tonight, and lots of ducks wandering along the path instead of in the water Confused

25.19

lastqueenofscotland · 01/06/2015 19:50

5.34 miles from me. Really focused on striking with my toe not my heel and knee was totally ok so that's the way forwards!
