I suspect we are keeping a whole army of physiotherapists in business with this thread!

Sorry to hear of your troubles Stilll :(

6.53 from me
1467.25

my glute/hip problem is somewhat reduced

emummy · 27/03/2015 16:46

I don't have pain when running any more, but still when driving or sitting. Am hoping yoga will sort it. Sorry it's got you too stilllearnin, time to get stretching!

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 27/03/2015 23:11

I haven't run all week - had a horrible cold - but went to yoga at lunchtime today (new workplace class) and now know how to do a proper downward dog Grin. At the start of the class the teacher told us to lie down and close our eyes and I was worried I would fall asleep. By the end I was feeling quite energized. parkrun tomorrow, even if I walk/run it.

16 miles from me makes 1483.25. Not my finest effort post HK Sevens revelling (all calories consumed after 2pm yesterday were in liquid form), but at least I did it. More excitingly, whilst revelling, I bid on a trail running training package in a silent auction and won, so there's a possibility I will actually start following a proper program rather than planning my runs based on what I fancy on the day (i.e. no intervals ever).

Anglaise My appetite is always higher following long races- seems to disappear for a day or two immediately after, but then I'm hungrier than usual for a week after.

Cinnamon It really is impressive how you've maintained your running. Enjoy your last pre-baby park run.

stilllearnin · 28/03/2015 06:31

Emummy - I think it's yoga that did it! Which is ridiculous as our yoga class is spiritual and not into form at all. We never grasp at or strive for posture. We roll around and chant a lot Grin I'm cross at myself but at least I know I will get running again. I just don't want to run through it and make it worse.

Sazorchard31 · 28/03/2015 07:24

6 from me yesterday, in the sun and a warm 11degrees too, perfect running conditions....1489.25

Aching today but run felt so good!

HalleLouja · 28/03/2015 11:55

3.1 hard fought parkrun miles today 1492.35.

I have had the week off after collapsing last week. Going to slowly up my mileage again.

Kikibee · 28/03/2015 11:56

Back again, I am struggling with tapering, not enough running for my liking Sad.

A slow parkrun with dd3 this morning, so adding 3.1 to make it 1492.35

I am sooooo looking forward to running after this marathon, never again!

Kikibee · 28/03/2015 11:57

Oops, try again, bit of x posting there Grin 1495.45. At least it meant my addition was correct Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 28/03/2015 12:17

A parkrun from me too, lovely chatty social one during and after so 32:24 but I enjoyed it and that's what parkrun is about for me Grin 1498.55

EdithDickie · 28/03/2015 12:23

That sounds lovely cinnamon!

No running for me this weekend. Have been struck down with a bug. Feeling like I have been hit by a truck.

karatekimmi · 28/03/2015 14:15

I watched parkrun then did about 5 miles with some doing marathon training they needed a nice slow pace!! which is the furthest I've run for a while.

Well done cinnamon maybe you could put you feet up for a few days Grin

And you need to put your feet up too Kiki

And it sounds like you need to take it easy too halle

In fact everyone, have a rest!!! Grin

Hope you feel better soon edith

karatekimmi · 28/03/2015 14:15

runtothehills · 28/03/2015 14:44

13 miles from me this morning, another hill and heather trudge, think I'm fully trained up on the heather bashing so now hoping we have some at the race. Found out this week where the MM is going to be which is up in Assynt which is the far north west of Scotland, one of my favourite places and been there a lot before so hope I have benefit of some insider knowledge.

Aggressive I was with you re the intervals, but have tried introducing some once a week. They are a killer, but do seem to go by quite fast (maybe not going far enough).

Cinnamon just think how light you are going to feel at your next park run, unless you have baby strapped on with a Babybjorn.

1516.55

twobambinos · 28/03/2015 16:50

Cinnamon how is that baby not born already with all the running ud think the bouncing motion might encourage baby along.

Hope everyone has a nice restful evening.

1516.55 plus 7.5 from me is 1524.05 I think

Signing up for a half marathon in 7 weeks so that will hope fully keep me motivated for the next while. I get very lazy otherwise.

twobambinos · 28/03/2015 16:50

1524.05

cinnamongreyhound · 28/03/2015 18:41

My running buddy is the same twobambinos, she has to have a goal of a race or she just gives up or sticks to very short runs. Her and her other half are doing the gauntlet next week and Brighton 10k which is the same time as the marathon in two weeks. I run because it makes me feel better and miss it when I don't so I guess it's a bit different. I know it's so unfair about the baby!!! I walk miles every day and have been keeping up 12-15miles a week, he should at least be on time if not early but not looking like it Sad

twobambinos · 28/03/2015 19:01

I was in the pool until 39 weeks on my second and she was still overdue and even more so than my first. Its so frustrating. I know people who didn't do a tap of exercise who had babies bang on time Grin I guess from the exercise our muscles are stronger and hold them in longer GrinI'm no expert though.

twobambinos · 28/03/2015 19:02

Hopefully being so fit the labour will be quicker and easier fingers crossed.

Anglaise1 · 28/03/2015 20:09

Mine were late and I did loads of exercise, inluding bouncing around on a tractor mower cutting the grass for 2 hours a week, even at nine months. Nothing worked to induce the birth! At least you shouldn't have any excess weight to shed after Cinnamon!
Looking forward to a nice long run tomorrow morning, even if it is raining.

cinnamongreyhound · 28/03/2015 20:21

Nothing worked with the two I have already either Anglaise1! Both induced at 13 days over. Enjoy your morning run, do clocks change for you too?

Anglaise1 · 28/03/2015 20:38

Yep, we lose an hour too, the clocks always change the same weekend as in the UK. I much prefer European time. It feels so strange in the UK if I visit around Christmas when it gets dark at 4.30pm Shock

emummy · 29/03/2015 11:44

Nice easy run this morning, bit cool and rainy but not too bad.
1530.9

Anglaise1 · 29/03/2015 11:59

10 windy but not wet miles this morning. Felt good. Am going to do a HM in a fortnight whilst I've still got the marathon training in my legs and try for a PB because the course is quite flat.
1540.9
We've slowed up a lot this month!

AggressiveBunting · 29/03/2015 14:14

We have but we've had a lot of injuries and also a lot of tapering which reduces net mileage I think.
