I always let this fall off my tio grrrrr

black if I were you I'd see how you feel in the morning. Personally if I can get out of bed I enjoy the time to myself - there's no need to run all the way, or do more than poodle around to get some fresh air!

I'm going to go back and read now

MelanieCheeks · 26/06/2015 09:54

Volunteer as tail runner?

ThursdayLast · 26/06/2015 09:55

Right,

chutney my mileage varies weekly - eg last weekend I did a long race so I haven't at all since Sunday. I have parkrun and a colour run this weekend both of which I'm really looking forward to. Usually I guess I do 3+parkrun, I'm keeping my mileage low if I'm not training for something as my knee starts protesting!

This weekend is my 50th Grin, so I'm 2/3 for 2015 goals.
Married - check
50 park runs - (nearly) check
Get knocked up -working on it

cinnamongreyhound · 26/06/2015 10:32

I love that 50 parkruns comes in a lost with two major life events ThursdayLast! Back orders of t-shirts should be available for order next week so you may well be lucky and get your 50 top pretty quickly. So looking forward to my volunteer one Grin

ThursdayLast · 26/06/2015 11:41

I hope I get my tee quickly Smile that would be amazing! I've been trying trying trying to get to 50, so now I can ease up a bit and do a bit more volunteering.

My thinking is that if I do get preg (not counting any chickens) I might become an RD.

MelanieCheeks · 26/06/2015 13:54

I did my 50th last August - I think I should qualify for an extra pwize for having waited the longest!

Blatherskite · 26/06/2015 14:00

According to this morning's update, if you think you should have had a tshirt and haven't been notified by July 13th, then you can email them here

I've done 120 parkruns now and am really looking forward to getting my 100 shirt!

cinnamongreyhound · 26/06/2015 16:05

OhOneOhTwoOhThree must have been waiting a long time for her 50 too as she qualified before me! 120 is impressive blatherskite, must be 6 months you've been waiting too? My friend did her 50 with me in sept and hasn't got hers, my size happened to be in stock Grin

Happy Parkrun day - you all put me to shame, I got myself up despite feeling a bit rough and completed my 14th Grin hope to run my 50th at some point in 2016!

Felt I was running within myself so really happy with my time which was my 3rd fastest Smile

standingonlego · 27/06/2015 11:15

Happy parkrun day people, back from run 55....it was my friends 150th today (total respect Grin). Hot, sunny and busy at Northampton - over 350 runners!

Epic turnout for your juniors inaugural last week blathers . Amazing you have managed so many runs yourself alongside the RD role.

So excited about t-shirts, it will be a happy day when they all arrive for so many people! We will all be twirling and happy Smile

standingonlego · 27/06/2015 11:18

blackcat a great time considering you were feeling less than 100% and considering staying home yesterday !

Lovely to see both regular and new people on this thread Smile

Foxongiraffe · 27/06/2015 11:22

Hi everyone, i really love reading about all your parkruns - i did my second today. Knocked 2 mins off so was quite pleased but my husband came to see and said that my head is leaning forward too much and I am looking down. Feeling rather self conscious now! Not sure how to combat this - does anyone else do this?

standingonlego · 27/06/2015 11:29

2 minutes improvement in a WEEK (faints) - well done fox and welcome Grin

ThursdayLast · 27/06/2015 11:41

Well done fox - that's quite an improvement!

I had a baaaaad run, but run I did and I got round Grin and its on the fat in and we all know that's what really counts right??

ThursdayLast · 27/06/2015 11:42

Garmin Garmin garmin

chutneypig · 27/06/2015 12:13

Well done fox that is incredibly impressive.

I was definitely in the just get round category today. DD didn't like the heat. But I did get to take my new Garmin for its first spin, so it's all safely logged as Thursday said Grin. DS had the bit between his teeth and got a PB. I don't know where he gets the energy from.

Tail running tomorrow at our juniors, looking forward to that.

cinnamongreyhound · 27/06/2015 12:15

Well done foxongiraffe!!!

Of course it counts ThursdayLast, you did better than all those on their sofas.

We had a pretty good turnout today, ds3 got lots of attention as usual and everything went very smoothly. Beautiful day here!!! We had some redway runners as one guy was running his 251st parkrun and 70th (I think) course.

Foxongiraffe · 27/06/2015 15:04

Wow thank you everyone I didn't know that was good, i haven't been long only a few months so my time was painfully slow but i still enjoyed it. It was very hot so did struggle. Someone fell and really damaged their ankle badly which was so sad, i really hope she is ok.

steppemum · 27/06/2015 15:53

ours was closed today, so is junior run tomorrow Sad

but I have run twice this week, supposed to be 5km each time, but I really struggled on friday.

Was hoping to gradually improve, so that when i do it next week I will be less of a disaster than last time.

MelanieCheeks · 28/06/2015 08:05

Well done fox!

Is your husband an expert on running form? Everyone has their own style - Paula Radcliffe has a weird head nod as she runs.

cheapandcheerful · 28/06/2015 15:05

Bonjour all!

My fave parkrun moments of the weekend...

  1. Getting overtaken by several parkrunners in wedding outfits, ready for yesterday afternoon's parkrun wedding.
  2. Shaving a whole minute off my pb.
  3. 4yo dd managing to run the whole way around her junior parkrun.
cheapandcheerful · 28/06/2015 15:06

Oh and...

  1. Finding out that there are plans afoot to start a new parkrun in the fields behind my house! Convenient or what?
chutneypig · 28/06/2015 17:10

That's a pretty impressive haul of good moments cheap! I'm particularly jealous of parkrun behind your house.

Is your DD bitten by the bug now? Our junior event was a bit damp this morning. DD enjoyed her first volunteering. I was less keen on having to sprint as the little girl we'd been tail running with decided to stop so we tried to catch up with the next group. Not my finest moment and right in front of the waiting parents. Still DH was amused.
