Open for any runners, or any runners looking to get their 'mojo' back.

I have a 10k on Sunday which I am feeling less than prepared for, and the stomach bug is just adding to that. I have a feeling I will be the slowest runner!

cinnamon you rock!

emummy · 21/09/2014 09:03

Well done cinnamon what a brilliant effort!
A nice slow 7.1 miles from me this morning so I think that's 504.17.

HalleLouja · 21/09/2014 11:19

3.1 of parkrun from me. Then I will do a run later if DH is ever home....

Well done Cinnamon. That is marvellous (The Guardian was complaining marvellous isn't used enough so am having it as my word of the week).

507.17.

HalleLouja · 21/09/2014 11:20

Sorry 507.27

postmanpatscat · 21/09/2014 14:22

A long slow 12 and a bit miles from me this morning. It was one of those ones where I want to stop and go home before I've even reached the entrance gate to our estate but I stuck with it! Only three weeks til HM but I couldn't be arsed to do another 0.9 miles, I'll do the full whack next week.

519.5 because one decimal place is enough!

BiscuitsAreMyDownfall · 21/09/2014 15:02

4.1 miles from me just now. I practiced my hill technique and ran faster uphill.

523.6

cinnamongreyhound · 21/09/2014 15:03

Awww you guys are lovely! I hurt today!! A guy from a norwich club collapsed and died on one of the early legs :( and on a more positive note someone ran a leg and is making an inside out program about the rnr so I might be on TV.

HalleLouja · 21/09/2014 15:11

Oh no cinnamon that's sad.

Didn't feel my running mojo today but managed another 5.5 miles. Now its 529.1. Also managed to fall down which didn't hurt too badly at the time but might hurt when the adrenaline has worn off.

BiscuitsAreMyDownfall · 21/09/2014 15:31

Aww poor guy Sad

originalpiratematerial · 21/09/2014 15:58
Sad

I did 3.1 miles today and felt much better than on Friday, so that was nice Grin. 526.7

BetsyBell · 21/09/2014 20:30

2 week non-running gap while I focussed on tae kwon do training, but just did a nice evening run of just over 5 miles. It got a bit dark at the end so must set off earlier next time!

531.8

TessTackle · 22/09/2014 11:39

5.26 today, ouch!

537.06

cinnamongreyhound · 22/09/2014 12:50

Forgot to say fab run postmanpatscat! You're definitely ready then!

Why ouch TessTackle? You ok?

TessTackle · 22/09/2014 12:58

Just fat cinnamon Grin
I can only run in the week while miniTess is at nursery so had 2 days off and ate Ben and Jerry's! My own fault.

How are you feeling?

BlueChampagne · 22/09/2014 13:11

17.3 last week taking us to 554.36

cinnamongreyhound · 22/09/2014 13:11

Sorry but that made me laugh TessTackle! I'm good thanks, slowly getting less nauseous and learning when to eat to feel better. Legs are still killing me from Saturday but better than yesterday!

TessTackle · 22/09/2014 13:13

I'm still in awe that you're still running. I genuinely had to have a word with myself at about mile 3 that certain pregnant women still run loads more than I do and to woman up!

standingonlego · 22/09/2014 19:51

A cheeky 3 miles taking us to 557.3. Test run in my Ebay purchased winter tights - I was roasting Smile

ThursdayLast · 22/09/2014 21:09

A slightly gruelling 5.6 miles from me tonight.
1mile warm up, 1mile warm down - the rest was speed work Shock to the system!
I was quite pleased with the speed I was able to reach though.

ThursdayLast · 22/09/2014 21:10

562.9

EdithDickie · 22/09/2014 21:19

Wow Thursday good one!

4 miles for me tonight. Felt very ploddy at the time but just what was needed after a long day! Feeling good now.

EdithDickie · 22/09/2014 21:19

566.9

cinnamongreyhound · 22/09/2014 21:32

I'm glad I managed to keep you going TessTackle, although I think you're being a bit tough on yourself!

I've had a couple of people tell me that Russian swimmers back in the day used to be forced to get pregnant as it increases blood volume and hormones and improved their performance and then they had an abortion, obviously very different pregnancies to most people who feel wiped out and sick the first trimester!

Well done everyone on their runs, going to attempt one tomorrow to loosen my hamstrings!

feetheart · 22/09/2014 22:20

5.3miles with club tonight. Felt hard and fast but think I messed up the Garmin when we walked up the very steep hill near the end (thought I'd paused it but the time/pace suggests I didn't Angry) Damn technology!

Total 572.2

HalleLouja · 23/09/2014 08:39

5.5 miles from Sunday. 577.7 as a total.

I do hiit every week (have done since Jan / Feb) and my sprinting is getting really fast for me. I would never have thought it but am keeping pace with some of ladies who have run for years.
