Open for any runners, or any runners looking to get their 'mojo' back.

I have a 10k on Sunday which I am feeling less than prepared for, and the stomach bug is just adding to that. I have a feeling I will be the slowest runner!

Good luck Irian!

Also keep getting that nervous flutter!

emummy · 25/10/2014 09:40

3.26 this morning, up a big hill, then fartlek. Windy and drizzly up here today, lovely!

Parkrun today and 2 miles yesterday so another 5.1 to add from me.

Good luck tomorrow Irian and Edith 10Ks are fab, I can't wait to do another one, but I can't find one near enough until next year. I suppose being in the north they try to keep them earlier in the year before it gets too cold.

Got my induction at the gym tomorrow so no running from me. Also booked in for Kellebells on Monday, Pilates on Tuesday and HIIT on Thurs so probably wont be out again till next Parkrun. Im excited about my new venture.

3.1 parkrun miles from me. Plus the jog back from the bike shop after I dropped my bike off for repair on the way home but that is not very far

Good luck to the 10K'ers tomorrow, and Biscuits you are making me feel exhausted!

I have just casually glanced at my HM plan and noticed that I am supposed to do 9 miles tomorrow. I will be here looking for a boot up the backside tomorrow morning Grin

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 25/10/2014 11:14

3.1 park run miles from me. DS came too - first 5k he's ever run and was definitely under 30 min for it Smile. Was quicker than I was and I wasn't letting him win Grin. He's keen to do it again so we'll have to persuade DD as well (she's of on brownie pack holiday this weekend).

ThursdayOfTheLivingDead · 25/10/2014 11:45

Adding my parkrun.
Was a really good one today, nearly killed myself on the last 1/4 mile because I was near a PB time, but I don't think I made it Sad
Really lovely vibe there today
So 3.1 =737.5

MirandaWest · 25/10/2014 12:02

Forgot to add on my miles - up to 740.6 Smile

holmessweetholmes · 25/10/2014 12:37

Hello all! I've been an occasional visitor to previous threads but keep meaning to come back on here.

Recently moved to the South Lakes so am having to deal with some serious hilliness! Did the new local Parkrun last week on its inaugural event. Beautiful setting - overlooking Lake Windermere! Marshalled today, so will have to get my run in later on.

Mitchy1nge · 25/10/2014 16:07

all these parkruns sound fun, still haven't made it to mine despite printing barcodes off at least a year ago! Was hoping for 5 or 6 this morning, it was such a nice day, but one annoying incident after another meant I was lucky to find time for a quick 3 (not that I was quick, far from it, it was really sludgy mud) before I had to start riding one of the few horses who hadn't got stuck in a ditch or halfway through a fence Hmm

anyway 743.6

EdithDickie · 25/10/2014 17:46

My word Biscuits that sounds like a heck of a week!

2 miles for me this morning. 10k tomorrow (eeeeeek!). Thank you for the good wishes.

EdithDickie · 25/10/2014 17:47

745.6

MirandaWest · 25/10/2014 18:20

Got our park run times - DS was 29 min 26 and I was 29 min 55 Grin. As it's quite a tight start and we were near the back of about 350 people I think we were probably a few seconds quicker. Am v impressed at DS (although next time we run he'll need to be in a different category as he's almost 11 now)

Nothing shameful of 1.5 miles.

3.1 from me, parkrun yesterday. I'm doing a very hilly 10k race today not sure I'm looking forward to it!

750.2

CardiffUniversityNetballTeam · 26/10/2014 07:18

Good luck to everyone racing today!

Am on the train to Portsmouth for the Great South Run. Eek! Shock

ThursdayOfTheLivingDead · 26/10/2014 07:44

Good Luck today my lively running racers!

ThursdayOfTheLivingDead · 26/10/2014 07:45

Obviously that's supposed to say LOVELY, but I guess lively is appropriate here too!

feetheart · 26/10/2014 07:52

Good luck from here too!

Sitting at home with an Innocent smoothie (only thing I can manage :)) having a discussion with DS about why he doesn't want to go to space Hmm and trying to ignore the nerves.
Home half marathon starts in just over 2 hours and I'm fretting as usual.
I am kidding myself that I just want to get round (and not look like I am dying when I pass people I know) but really I want a PB :)

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 26/10/2014 08:08

Good luck to all runners and racers, come back and tell us how you got on later.

feet people will just be so in awe of you they won't notice your speed/if you look like you are dying Smile. I was towards the end of my local HM last year feeling awful when a voice called out something like "hello, I know you from parkrun, you're doing really well" - it was one of the marshals and it gave me such a boost

Cardiff enjoy the GSR. A friend of mine is running it today as follow up to her GNR Smile

kimmi hope it is not too hilly Smile

Edith and Irian best wishes for your 10ks Smile

holmes good to see you posting again Smile

I am going to have one more piece of toast before going out for my 9 miles.

emummy · 26/10/2014 09:40

Good luck to all the racers today, hope you all have fun.
8.15 miles for me today, furthest I've ever run so v pleased! Took ages but was meant to be slow run today. I do feel as though my legs might fall off, but delighted to have managed it.

758.35

Mitchy1nge · 26/10/2014 09:54

good luck everyone from me too

bit Envy as always grumpy when there is no run to look forward to, no anything but family and food today (neither particularly nice sorts) so will live vicariously through all your updates on here

if I include the little run on Thursday with a new runner this is the first day off for 6 days so it's probably good

Mitchy1nge · 26/10/2014 09:55

well done emummy :) there is something really exciting about conquering new distances isn't there

BiscuitsAreMyDownfall · 26/10/2014 09:58

Good luck today runners and racers.

cinnamongreyhound · 26/10/2014 12:00

Good luck feetheart, everyone will be impressed you're out there!

Well done emummy!
