Open for any runners, or any runners looking to get their 'mojo' back.

I have a 10k on Sunday which I am feeling less than prepared for, and the stomach bug is just adding to that. I have a feeling I will be the slowest runner!

Well done Halle and Postman! Grin

I am just back from 9.1 miles. I don't think I enjoy running in the afternoon as much as I do in the morning.
I have just had Twix though and it was lush, almost wish I'd bought two! Blush

Total is now 332.8 miles

Well done halle and postman!

I'm still in the throes of hangover recovery but have agreed to meet a friend for a flat 5k in an hour.

I might not make it Grin

Mitchy1nge · 12/10/2014 16:50

well done everyone especially postmanpatscat and HalleLouja Flowers

I don't run on Sundays and Thursdays and although the rest is physically sort of nice I feel so much grumpier Confused

HalleLouja · 12/10/2014 17:01

Blathers we cross posted.

BetsyBell · 12/10/2014 17:05

My first 10k race! I'm thrilled as was not expecting to get in under 1h10m but managed 1 hour and 54 seconds, very excited about that Smile

326.9

cinnamongreyhound · 12/10/2014 17:49

Well done postmanpatscat, HalleLouja and BetsyBell great times!!

We had visitors today so no running for me but I have a 10k next Sunday. Well done everyone else who got out. We had a misty morning but a fab afternoon for our funghi forage!

BiscuitsAreMyDownfall · 12/10/2014 18:43

Well done those of you in Races.

The York Marathon was today and there was a post on FB from my Parkrun page with a couple of times. I ran a half earlier this year slower than their Marathon times.

I can't wait to do a race again. I miss the atmosphere.

Phew made it. Need a recovery cuppa in the bath though.

Well done Betsy!

Hello runners

9.3 from me this weekend - parkrun tourism and a 10K this morning. I'd lost my running mojo, but think I re-found it this morning. DH and I are both about to sign up for a HM in December, so I will have to train for that.

336.2?

standingonlego · 12/10/2014 20:44

A fab 5 miler tonight - was taken by surprise by how strong and fast I was - felt like proper running !! . Maybe the crazy tyre dragging I did in the gym is paying dividends, or maybe the full moon.

Anyhow happy to have some running mojo back - must be the day for it OhOne Grin

Glad everyone had a good weekend

standingonlego · 12/10/2014 20:44

341.2

EdithDickie · 12/10/2014 21:44

Wow lots of awesome runs this weekend! Well done everyone!

(ohhhh! Teeshirts not times, I get it now! Sorry for being a bit dense!)

karatekimmi · 13/10/2014 06:48

A not slow to log it, but 3.1 for my parkrun. I was itching to run yesterday but thought a rest day was needed.

Some marvellous running done this weekend.

344.3

cinnamongreyhound · 13/10/2014 07:37

I won't be running today as I've been struck by a hideous cold! Running parkrun Saturday really helped but I felt so much worse yesterday and an early night hasn't done much to make me feel better :( may even lose my voice!

MirandaWest · 13/10/2014 08:46

I was in the York marathon yesterday (although in the relay so not properly in it Smile). Was running a leg that was meant to be 3.2 miles but my ipod tracked it as 4.65 km or 2.9 miles and the end took me by surprise. Pretty sure it wasn't 3.2 miles as when I recovered from confusion and finally stopped the iPod it was over 28 minutes and I finished before that (maybe about 26 minutes something). Would still have been ok for me I think.

Going to run 5k tonight with my bf Smile. Think I'll count yesterday as 2.9

MirandaWest · 13/10/2014 08:55

So that's 347.2

Mitchy1nge · 13/10/2014 10:19

oh dear, get well soon cinnamon

a disgustingly dark cold and wet 2.4 with a friend so far, I will (or might, I usually do on a Monday) the same again later with the dog but he hates the rain even more than my friend

349.6

cinnamongreyhound · 13/10/2014 10:36

Thanks Mitchy1nge! My little dog hates the rain but she has a coat, never let her run it as I'm worried she'll get too hot. It was either the coat or she's stops every 2 seconds trying to go home! My big dog loves water, despite benign a greyhound who are supposed to hate rain as much as cats! All my cats are firmly planted in the house today!!!!!!

Morrigu · 13/10/2014 11:41

Hope you feel better soon cinnamon, how is the morning sickness these days, has it passed you by now?

9 to add from last week. 358.6 Going to stick to 5k for a few weeks until I get back into the swing of it again.

feetheart · 13/10/2014 11:52

Cinnamon - this is a day to be snuggled up on the sofa with a hot whiskey chocolate - perfect kill or cure for horrible colds.

Is it the Bedford half Ohone? I have been thinking about doing it but will see how the Luton one goes first.

3.1 from Panshanger inaugural parkrun - lovely cross country course that will be challenging in the winter :) Plus 10 miles from my last-long-run-before-Luton-half yesterday (after which I went on a 4 mile hilly walk with the family and my right hamstring is now complaining :()

That makes 371.7

cinnamongreyhound · 13/10/2014 12:07

Yes thanks Morrigu but pretty much instantly replaced with this cold!!!

Chance would be a fine thing feetheart! Dog walk this morning and second school run of 3 today have meant I've been very wet! Did have a couple of hours snuggled up with ds2 this morning and home now until 3. Mindee will be sleeping for a bit after lunch too :) we had no paracetamol in the house so I made a hot toddy with brandy Friday night Blush really helped my throat but didn't make a difference to my head!!

cinnamongreyhound · 13/10/2014 12:08

Sorry missed your hamstring comment feetheart! Really hope it feels better quickly and doesn't affect your hm Thanks

Mitchy1nge · 13/10/2014 13:04

I've got 3.6 of very soggy dog jogging miles to bring my personal daily total to 6 and our overall: 375.3 (?)

Mitchy1nge · 13/10/2014 13:24

has anyone taken shoes back to sweatshop within their 30 day guarantee period? mine are already in a disgusting state and I've only worn them 3 times but can feel my big toe on my right foot and think they might be a bit too small Confused can I really take them back when they are so yucky?

cinnamongreyhound · 13/10/2014 13:48

Always worth a try Mitchy1nge! Haven't ever bought anything from sweatshop, they'rea bit far from me.
