Open for any runners, or any runners looking to get their 'mojo' back.

I have a 10k on Sunday which I am feeling less than prepared for, and the stomach bug is just adding to that. I have a feeling I will be the slowest runner!

What's an illusion neckline Thursday?

ThursdayLast · 03/10/2014 19:08

The dress is essentially strapless Tess, but with a high neckline made of a net material. This kind of style

Ooooh that's lovely! I like illusion necklines Smile

ThursdayLast · 03/10/2014 22:01

Thank you Tess - you see why only running wont cut it??
Glad to hear you were pain free today Smile

originalpiratematerial · 04/10/2014 11:16

2 miles from me yesterday. So 36.34.

I really need to run more but I haven't got the hang of fitting it in with everything else whilst working at home. I naively thought it would be easier!

ThursdayLast · 04/10/2014 11:17

Adding my parkrun 39.4

cinnamongreyhound · 04/10/2014 16:22

And a parkrun from me too 42.5 :)

cinnamongreyhound · 04/10/2014 16:26

And the excitement of today is that I now own a sports bra! Not sure how long it will fit but it does for now!

emummy · 04/10/2014 17:30

Exciting news indeed cinnamon, hope you enjoy it!
4.5 miles from me today, glad I waited till the afternoon - was really wet this morning but now it's gorgeous sunshine. So 47

cinnamongreyhound · 04/10/2014 17:53

We had the opposite emummy! Very warm dry morning, followed by wind, cold and loads of rain although it's dry and bright now :) I never felt I needed a sports bra before but they have grown and really hurt now so I've had to invest. Didn't really want to spend much in case they continue to grow!

EdithDickie · 04/10/2014 17:59

Irian I'm doing the Plymouth 10K Grin

I can do just over 5 miles without stopping and reckon I'll be fine. Quite nice flat route too.

5.1 miles for me last night and park run this morning so total of 8.2 to add for me.

EdithDickie · 04/10/2014 17:59

55.2

CardiffUniversityNetballTeam · 04/10/2014 19:41

Evening all,

Two lots of 5K to add from me this week, so 6.2 miles taking total to 58.4.

Have noticed this week that I haven't had time to get to my weekly yoga class and consequently my shins are really sore. Maybe I will be able to go tomorrow. I ache!

Congrats on the bra cinnamon! Grin

Aghast at the thought of running without a sports bra!

cinnamongreyhound · 04/10/2014 20:29

You'll be fine EdithDickie!

I just have almost no boobs and very little volume since I lost weight and I've never had any discomfort before ThursdayLast. My running buddy has been trying to get me to buy one for ages but then hers are mahoosive'

ThursdayLast · 04/10/2014 20:41

My boobs are fair to middling and always need support Grin I remember that swollen pain in pregnancy only too well- I often wore my sports bra to work to help everything feel contained and protected.

Edith and Irian when is the Plymouth 10k? I'm doing Newquay 10k tomorrow (if I can resist all the Saturday night beer flowing)

EdithDickie · 04/10/2014 21:47

My boobs are epic - without a sports bra I would definitely injure myself and others!

Plymouth 10K is the first Sunday in November, the 2nd I think it is.

EdithDickie · 04/10/2014 21:47

Good luck for tomorrow Thursday! Smile

MirandaWest · 04/10/2014 22:48

I have minimal breasts (30c) but without a sports bra they aren't happy running. Should have run today as haven't since Wednesday but fell asleep instead Blush. I blame the jet lag.

standingonlego · 05/10/2014 07:38

I wore sports bras through both pregnancies - were the most comfortable bras for the task. But I am with your running buddy on this cinnamon - how on earth have you managed this long without Shock. You need to look after your boobs from now on :)

standingonlego · 05/10/2014 07:41

On which note my lovely new season jazzy version panache arrived yesterday - best sports bra ever :)

BiscuitsAreMyDownfall · 05/10/2014 12:06

I dont have a sports bra, I find T-shirt bras have been ok for me. I just haven't got round to buying one. Not had any problems yet. Im a C cup so not too small either.

Anyway come to have a small whinge. Lovely day today, but a bit cold. Perfect conditions for a run, yet when I try to walk anywhere around the house my ankle hurts. No idea why, but Im thinking a run might not be the best idea. grrrrrrr.

I can't wait to do 10Ks again, but there are no big ones near me till next year. I dont think there is, going to have a look.

ThursdayLast · 05/10/2014 12:26

Newquay 10k done Smile runkeeper says 53.30 and I got a lovely long sleeved running top (and an aero)

So 6.2 + 58.4 = 64.6

MirandaWest · 05/10/2014 13:46

Been out for another 3k (or 1.87 miles in this case). Sun shining Smile

Next week it's 5ks to get ready for the 5k I'm doing in the York marathon relay next Sunday Smile

postmanpatscat · 05/10/2014 15:39

I don't run for a week at a time lately, so then I come on here and have lots of catching up to do!

Lovely pic Cinnamon if you fancy being early though, I'm March 29 Smile
And about time too with the sports bra, I'm a 32B and I always wear one for running!

Edith and Irain I grew up in Plymouth and 10k sounds fun as long as it's not hilly. You certainly can't drive far round there without going up or down a big hill!

biscuits don't run with that ankle. Can you cross train instead?

Well done on your 10k Thursday and a great time too. You can keep the top but do get in touch if you don't want the Aero! Lovely dress too, if DP and I ever do get married I'd like something similar. I'll probably be about 50 by then though...

13.1 miles from me to add, all in one go today! Now it's time to taper - didn't feel I could call it that when I've only run once a week for the last three weeks! Royal Parks HM is next Sunday, yikes. Today was deliberately leisurely and took 2:15, I'm not sure what I can manage but if I could knock ten minutes off that I'd be happy.

Total 79.6 with a little rounding!
