Yay! We're back to miles!

Apologies for slack posting, real life getting in the way like a rotter. But it's August, so new month, new start for me.

I did 6.5 miles this evening so let's just add this up...30.34

(Happy to be corrected)

Runkittyrun · 02/08/2014 13:45

Long run at 6am this morning, quite muggy but reasonably cool with cloud cover. Still finding running in the heat difficult. Miles 14 doing a recce of the second lap of my HM course (only 6 weeks away now!).

New August total is 44.34.

How's everyones' running today, any parkruns?

PulsesARagingEyesFullofWonder · 02/08/2014 13:54

3.2 miles from a very slow easy Park Run.
So happy to have done it, to have run with others, and to have returned home without any injuries! :)

DS (5 years old) wanted to run with me, so we did the first lap together. It gave me a chance to take it really easy and stretch alot. I then jogged the final 2 and a half laps at a really nice pace. Feel like I'm getting back finally...

No pain in hamstring :)

PulsesARagingEyesFullofWonder · 02/08/2014 13:55

Ah, so that makes it 46.54 miles, I think?

HalleLouja · 02/08/2014 14:09

So I did my first parkrun and was relatively impressed. My target was 30 mins and did it in 28.25. Struggled a bit but want to beat the time. Competitive moi?

49.64 miles

So impressed I posted twice.

HalleLouja · 02/08/2014 14:15

It was fun and flat.

Feet am going to do the one at Hatfield House. I just need to register now. Think it should be flat too.

Knackerelli · 02/08/2014 20:43

52.74 from a wet and slow parkrun from me. Slow and steady wins the day. Or at least finishes!

Glad it went well Hallelouja Smile

Back off Holidays now, so catching up.

briteside thinking of you and your family and wishing you a speedy recovery.

After reading an article, I stupidly decided to see if I can run everyday until I go back to school work on the 1st of September. I have currently done 9 days in a row, I am sure life will get in the way soon, and i'll miss one!!

The Half marathon is getting closer and closer and I haven't managed more than 9 miles yet, I really need to get a long run in. I was hoping to do one today, but it's looking unlikely.

Anyway enough rambling, on to house keeping last month I need to add 2:03:46 on so the final total so far is 152:52:27 I think!!

6 days, 6 hours, 52 mins and 27 seconds!!

karatekimmi · 03/08/2014 06:43

Oh and this month - a 5k and a parkrun so far 6.2

58.94

emummy · 03/08/2014 10:50

4.4 miles this am, so63.34. Was really hard; have a hill race in 3 weeks so went for a run up that hill, only the path open just now is not the one I'll be racing on, it went up over twice the height over twice the distance. Was reduced to walking more than once, the only good bit was getting to hurtle downhill at high speed! Don't think I'll be taking up hill racing!
Well done on the streak so far karatekimmi, keep it up!

CardiffUniversityNetballTeam · 03/08/2014 12:50

Just popping in to add 4 miles from this morning 67.34.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Glad you enjoyed parkrun Halle. Good luck with your challenge kimmi.

Blatherskite · 03/08/2014 14:56

8.08 miles from me this morning. Training plan said to do a 1 hour 15 minute Long Slow Distance run and I definitely listened to the slow bit :)

Gives us 75.42

cinnamongreyhound · 03/08/2014 18:13

I did a very warm 6.5 miles today with a couple of walking breaks :( 81.95, we're racing along this month already!

I think I mentioned before we were ttc, well I'm pregnant and due 8th April! It will make me 13 weeks when I do rnr and about 20 weeks if I do Norwich half! Will have to see how it goes re running but I hope to carry on as longh as possible even if I'm just plodding!

Blatherskite · 03/08/2014 18:16

Congratulations cinnamon! Grin

HalleLouja · 03/08/2014 19:15

Bluebird89 · 03/08/2014 19:29

Hi all, new to the site but please can I join in. I did 7.5 miles today, it was a proper slog in the heat. 89.45

karatekimmi · 03/08/2014 21:24

Congratultions cinnamon

we are ttc also and I keep booking races to tempt fate not working, still not knocked up no reason why you cant keep running, and 10 months after, channel Jo Pavey for that comeback!! was barely showering and dressing 10 months after mini kimmi, let alone winning a bronze medal

karatekimmi · 03/08/2014 21:27

oh and 2.2 miles which makes 91.65

feetheart · 03/08/2014 23:22

Welcome Bluebird and congratulations Cinnamon - a baby runner, so exciting :)

HalleLouja - well done on your parkrun, that's a great time. I've signed up to do the Hatfield House 10k so get your form in :)

6.1 miles from me yesterday. Was the furthest I've run since the Zoo Stampede and the first time I've done that route in a year, boy have I improved - knocked 45secs a mile off my previous best :o :o :o

Total 97.75

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 04/08/2014 07:34
