Canary Wharf 10k race done, so 6.2 from me. 59.37 which I was happy enough with.

KristinaM · 21/05/2014 20:03

Well done amber, you got your sub 60!

Remember to rest up and get lots of sleep between now and the weekend. And Ice any sore bits

AmberNectarine · 21/05/2014 20:04

I'm off to a party now to, erm, rehydrate...

ThursdayLast · 21/05/2014 20:13

Well done amber!
I too am celebrating my (approx) 10k along a varied route with a crabbies Smile

So that's my 6miles to the total (and it was still hot) so that's 942 with ambers too.

DotToDott · 21/05/2014 20:36

Evening all!

Glad your DD is home Tess, and well done to everyone on recent runs.

DS has had a sickness bug then sports day so i've had to give my usual morning runs a miss. I went out earlier tonight for an "easy" 5k and came in at 46.53, slow compared to most of you, but considering i had to push myself to the limit just two weeks ago to get that time, it
says alot that that's now my easy pace. I'm new to running and have never run in the heat before which i found hard.

932.9 with my 5k added on?

DotToDott · 21/05/2014 20:37

Nope, sorry!

945.1?

cinnamongreyhound · 21/05/2014 20:49

Well done AmberNectarine.

It was blimmin hot here Sunday at 9am Mitchy1nge and I'm not that far from you. I agree it's quite a humid heat but it made running pretty tough!

Rest day for me today.

Blatherskite · 21/05/2014 20:55

I went for a run today but Garmin connect is playing up so I can't upload it to work out exactly how far it was. 9.something K but I'm not sure what the something was

Mitchy1nge · 21/05/2014 21:47

I didn't run on Sunday but did cycle 20 miles, which is much easier and breezier I think. Also maybe not running far enough or fast enough to appreciate the temperatures yet. Or my personal thermostat is broken.

Will be in south of France in a couple of weeks so will see whether that resets my heat sensors while running.

Theonlyoneiknow · 21/05/2014 21:55

Can add 6km, dropped car off at,garage and ran home

Takes us to 951.1?

HalleLouja · 21/05/2014 22:38

Add 3.5 miles 954.6. Not the best run but better than Monday Grin

PolkaSpottyDotty · 21/05/2014 23:37

I take us to 965.9

I've missed a lot! Haven't been on for a while as DD has had several hospital assessments. It's been a long and emotional week.

But my good news....... Drum roll please.....

I ran my 5k in 29min 58secs this evening! I was so happy and shocked when I got home that I burst into tears! Such a positive way to end a difficult week.

pootlebug · 22/05/2014 05:57

very well done Amber on sub 60 mins

polka - sorry to hear it's been such a tough week but YAY for sub 30 mins 5k!

AmberNectarine · 22/05/2014 07:05

Official time came through and it was 58.47 - even better!

cinnamongreyhound · 22/05/2014 07:38

That's great news PolkaSpottyDotty and sorry to hear about your dd.

I did a very slow 5.5miles this morning and got very wet feet!!! Takes the total to 971.4 I believe :)

Mitchy1nge · 22/05/2014 12:37

973.6 with my Slow Joggers outing

it was FREEZING this morning and you can't say it wasn't

and stables all flooded which made me want to cry :( but on plus side am running every other day without any problems and have four miles to spend on Saturday!

Mitchy1nge · 22/05/2014 12:38

well done amber and spotty! congratulatory Flowers and Wine

MelanieCheeks · 22/05/2014 13:18

Great stuff, Amber and Polka!

PolkaSpottyDotty · 22/05/2014 13:51

Thank you :)

Well done Amber!

cinnamongreyhound · 22/05/2014 14:00

I was pretty warm this morning at 6.15 I have to say. It had rained all night here but was dry when I went out just very wet grass hence the wet feet! It's overcast but muggy here today.

fingersonbuzzers · 22/05/2014 15:42

Hi all and well done to amber and polka

Been thunderstorming here just in time for the school run.

Was going to rest my knee til Saturday, but it's feeling better now. Really tempted to do a gentle 5k tonight as we're so close to the 1,000 mile mark Grin

But also need to go and vote once DH gets in and he could be late tonight. If it's not chucking it down or too late when he gets in I may do a 5k past my polling station Grin

briteside · 22/05/2014 16:13

Hello all and well done amber and polka

I haven't emailed much but I did manage two runs on Monday and today, of 4.2 and 4.3 miles respectively. It brings our total to 982 miles

The magic 1,000 is getting close!

The run today was with two work colleagues (And we managed to get out before the rain started). They are both ultra-fit triathletes and it was the first time I had felt confident enough to go with them so was really pleased that I could keep up and even join the conversation in between gasps

We are going away for a long-long weekend to the New Forest and I am looking forward to some runs while I am there.

PolkaSpottyDotty · 22/05/2014 16:31

I should be running tonight with my fast-paced friend (the last time we ran it was almost 4 miles in 30mins and she nearly killed me) but nasty, heavy AF is here and I feel completely washed out.

KristinaM · 22/05/2014 16:54

BYW you missed my 15 miles from Sunday and Monday . Do they still count? And I did 3 miles today ( just keeping legs moving before Sunday HM)

cinnamongreyhound · 22/05/2014 17:28

Go PolkaSpottyDotty, you'll feel better for it!

Of course it counts KristinaM! Did you x posts with someone? That's 18miles on so 1000!!!!
