Not to the end of the thread but to the end of June, was on pg15 on mine :)

fingersonbuzzers · 16/06/2014 16:25

Hoping to do parkrun this Saturday, Blathers, but once again the DC's social lives get in the way. Taking them to the cinema but not sure if it'll be the 10am or the 12 noon screening - if it's the latter then I'll be there :)

feetheart · 16/06/2014 19:52

Fish - I only linked our Heart photo as it was one of the best of me for ages including non-running photos! Don't blame you for keeping your underwraps :)

Great time Blathers.

Don't think our 4k on Sunday was added so 1043

postmanpatscat · 16/06/2014 20:59

Another 5k to add from me so 1048km

CardiffUniversityNetballTeam · 17/06/2014 09:52

Morning runners. Grin

I have just got back from 6.7k along the canal so the new total is 1054.7.

Congrats to all the racers and pb'ers! I will read back for all the details while I have my breakfast.
Then I might have a browse around the net for another race to enter as I have got 3K rainbow run with DS this Sunday and then nothing til the end of October!

emummy · 17/06/2014 10:24

4.6k today so 1061.3
Tapering this week for race for life 10k on Sunday. All home cooked food this week after last race scuppered by food poisoning!

Fishandjam · 17/06/2014 11:02

Is anyone here doing the St Neots 10k? It looks a really nice course.

Morrigu · 17/06/2014 11:18

Forgot to add a quick 3.5 hill sprints on Monday. Was too hot to stay out any length of time. 1064.8

Bit of a dilemma. Today is my long slow day and had planned about 9 miles bout 12 o'clock but the temperature is hot, hot, hot. Not sure what to do. It's the only day I can do it and if I leave it to later it'll be even hotter and have the kids tonight so can't leave it to then. Not sure whether to head for the shore and chance there'll be a bit of a wind to cool me down or go to the treadmill in the gym (which I know I'll get bored of after a few kms)

feetheart · 17/06/2014 11:25

Morrigu - seaside run definitely (says she who would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to have regular seaside runs but lives in the middle of England :()

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 17/06/2014 12:28

5k from me this morning, which brings us to 1069.8.

I really need to invest in more running shorts and vests. Where's the best (cheapest!) place to look, please?

cinnamongreyhound · 17/06/2014 13:07

Sports direct are cheap and I think good enough :)

Morrigu · 17/06/2014 14:53

Took your advice feet and headed for the shore so 14.5 to add. Brings us to 1084.3. Feel like I cheated a bit as I stopped twice for a loo break and to splash some cold water on my face but would rather have that than falling down in the heat. I'm actually beginning to believe that my first hm in Sept is totally possible. Weird feeling.

Bit of a disaster when out though as my plan was to run the 9 miles and get the train back. Hit the train and discover the £20 I put in my belt was missing. Fell out grr. Luckily I had my phone on me which is unusual and was able to ring dc's dad who lives round the corner and he had to lend me money to get home. Otherwise it was going to be a long walk.

You probably wouldn't get any cheaper than sports direct softkitty. I would advise you to actually go in and try them on if you can though as I've found their sizing to be quite small. Well the tops are anyway.

briteside · 17/06/2014 16:39

Well done everyone on some brilliant runs and PB's!!

I feel like I have been away for ages, but only a week. I was on a business trip to Atlanta, it was very humid & hot but I did get out for one early morning run and another on a treadmill in the Hotel Gym. Together with a lunchtime run yesterday of 7.5 km, I have 19.3 Km to add to the total:
1089.1 km

My trip was completely uneventful and filled with meeting after meeting after meeting (Interspersed with eating way too much delicious Southern food), but I did get a chance to pop into Old Navy and pick up some lovely running tops (All variations of sleeveless but very loose around the waist).

I have a 10km Race for Life on Saturday. I am completely unprepared and am dreading it. I am running it for a friend who was recently diagnosed (Otherwise I would be tempted to skip it! Blush

ThursdayLast · 17/06/2014 19:18

Hello friends!
I had the weekend off after my 10 miles on Friday night, but have 8k to add from this morning.
1097.1

Sirzy · 17/06/2014 19:25

A horrid 3k done.

Got some karrimor Capri pants and vest wore them for the first time tonight and was not impressed

OP posts:
Chopstheduck · 17/06/2014 19:44

What was up with them Sirzy?

Sirzy · 17/06/2014 19:46

I just found them really uncomfy, they didn't move as well as others I have (if that made sense) and the material was quite a 'sweaty' one which wasn't good in this weather.

fingersonbuzzers · 17/06/2014 20:16

Hi softkitty I bought this vest recently and it's ace (I think I paid a lot more than a tenner for it too, grr!)

fingersonbuzzers · 17/06/2014 20:17

Sorry, no I tell a lie it was this

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 17/06/2014 20:23

Thanks Fingers, I love that vest! Pity the blue is out of stock in my size as I love the colour but might order the pink. Going to have a browse and see what shorts they also have. I can see purchases ahead!

Chopstheduck · 17/06/2014 20:26

Sirzy, I find them a bit hot in this weather too. I do like the fit, but then I do have massive thighs.

thefemaleJoshLyman · 17/06/2014 20:48

I run in the Nike dri-fit capris that I bought from sports direct. I really like them, they are grey and green. Think I paid £15ish for them. I have been really happy with both of the Nike tights that I have.

7k from me today which I think brings us to 1104.1?

cinnamongreyhound · 17/06/2014 21:04

I love my karrimor stuff but they do do some thicker than others. I have some I keep for cooler weather.

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 17/06/2014 21:16

Ideally I need a couple of vests, a pair of shorts and a pair of capris. And a new sports bra or two. Think I'll have to spread it out over the next few months.

Fishandjam · 17/06/2014 21:32

I tend to swear by Ron Hill stuff. I have a pair of loose capris in a very lightweight fabric, which is great for hot weather. (I don't get my thighs out. Not ever. No matter how hot it is.) Wiggle often have good deals.
