I think that's a lot if my problem because I run in the forest, I assume garmin has a stronger signal?

Blatherskite · 15/06/2014 22:27
Grin

I went out for a quick run tonight. I figured I'd do 3 or 4 miles. I felt good though and had been complaining to The Wife about not doing 10ks often enough earlier so decided I might as well make it 6 miles. I still felt good so tried to speed up after around 4 miles....

...and I PBd 10k! Grin

55:02. So close to a sub 55 and I could have probably dropped those 2 seconds had I gone out quicker.

Stupidly proud of myself so had to share.

originalpiratematerial · 15/06/2014 22:49

Awesome, Blatherskite! Grin

cinnamon yes - I know other people who run in woods/forest areas and they find Endomondo pretty useless

Fishandjam · 15/06/2014 23:13

Speaking as one who works vaguely in that industry - Garmin all the way. The chipset is vastly superior (even if it's not my employer's any more!)

Very nice work blathers. You're entitled to be a proper pouter pigeon!

KristinaM · 15/06/2014 23:36

Well done on new 10k PB blathers

thefemaleJoshLyman · 16/06/2014 06:26

Well done BlathersSmile .

cinnamongreyhound · 16/06/2014 07:38

936.4+16.8
Well done Blatherskite, fantastic time!

I've done 6.4 miles this morning with my faster running friend so nearly died!! Haven't run that fast for a while over that distance. So I make the total 973.5 with blatherskite's 10k and orangefluties miles. Have a lovely day everyone :)

vladthedisorganised · 16/06/2014 09:35

Well done Blatherskite - amazing time!

A couple of firsts/ bests for me yesterday - I made it to the next town and back which is a definite first, and managed it on footpaths without getting lost (except once). And managed to keep to a consistent 9.25 pace throughout, which I really struggle with normally. The HM is starting to look achievable!

So 973.5+ my 13.4k = 986.9

standingonlego · 16/06/2014 09:38

A school run in trainers chasing DS on bikes means I can add 5.6k taking us to total 979.1

standingonlego · 16/06/2014 09:39

Whoops - should refresh screen - make that 992.5

vladthedisorganised · 16/06/2014 13:31

5.1k this lunchtime including some hurdles in the woods - 997.6

fingersonbuzzers · 16/06/2014 13:36

Hi all - well done Blathers, a fab pb!

I did my longest run to date this morning - 13k. Had a crap school run with the DC and was really stressed when I set off for it, but really did feel great by the end of it.

1010.6

Degustibusnonestdisputandem · 16/06/2014 13:39

Wow, Blatherskite - amazing! Grin

I have 5km & 9km to add to the total, so that makes 1024.6

vladthedisorganised · 16/06/2014 13:47

We're past 1000k! I think that calls for a cheer?

Well done fingersonbuzzers :)

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 16/06/2014 14:18

Just a short 3.6k run for me today as I was stuck at the garage for half the morning, so that brings us to 1028.3.

Fishandjam · 16/06/2014 14:21

We've reached the grand, Hurray!

There's a deeply unflattering photo of me post-10k on the Heart 103FM website. I'm sure I don't munt as much as that usually Blush. And no, I am not going to linky!

Blatherskite · 16/06/2014 14:22

I can't remember if I added the kms from my hill session on Friday to the total Confused

I certainly didn't add parkrun or my 10k and I have another 6k to add from lunchtime today too!

I guess that would explain why my knees ache Wink

cinnamongreyhound · 16/06/2014 14:24

I added your 10k Blatherskite but no idea about hills :)

Blatherskite · 16/06/2014 14:24

I've checked - I did add the hill repeats but need to add the rest so we're now at 1049

Blatherskite · 16/06/2014 14:24

OK - take the 10k back off again 1039

fingersonbuzzers · 16/06/2014 14:25

Yep you added them Blathers Smile

Blatherskite Fri 13-Jun-14 14:33:46
4.5km - UP HILLS IN THE SUN - from me. Gives us 823

That was more fun than it sounded. Really glad I went now.

fingersonbuzzers · 16/06/2014 14:25

x post!

Are we aiming for a particular total on this thread, or just seeing where we get?

Blatherskite · 16/06/2014 14:38

I thought we were aiming for 1500kms?

Are you parkrunning on Saturday fingers? I'm number checking so will be easy to find this week :)

cinnamongreyhound · 16/06/2014 14:47

Weren't we going for 1000miles and converted to km?

cinnamongreyhound · 16/06/2014 14:53

Found it we were going to 1,500 miles so 2,500 Km :)
