16k to add from me this evening.
'Twas rather hard work, but I sneaked in under a 10 minute mile average so I'm pretty pleased with that given there is no flat road in Cornwall and this heat!
849.15
Have to do a parkrun assessment in the morning Smile

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 13/06/2014 20:56

Managed to get an averagely paced 5k done after work, taking us to 854.15. Got lots on this weekend so doubt I'll get a run in until Monday now.

BetsyBell · 13/06/2014 21:12

Very short run tonight - we were doing a short distance but at a faster pace to try and improve our fitness levels. 3.5k

573.8

BetsyBell · 13/06/2014 21:13

Oops! Many pages behind

857.65

SeymoreButts · 14/06/2014 05:21

Wow, you lot are very impressive! I've just had a look at the Sydney City to Surf race but it is in August and 14km, I can only manage 7km at the moment. It's probably not achievable is it?

6.7km from me today so the total is 864.35

I went out for dinner last night and had 2 glasses of wine, I don't think it helped! If I'm going to start running every other day I may have to cut out booze altogether!

HalleLouja · 14/06/2014 10:39

Another 5k here to 869.35.

When in August is it Seymore its a long month Grin you might be able to get to 14k by then.

HalleLouja · 14/06/2014 10:41

Feet I did have a good view of your Winston's Wish top most of the way round the zoo. Well until 8k that is.

Good luck tomorrow.

Blatherskite · 14/06/2014 13:00

I used to do 10k every Tuesday until DH changed jobs and I had to change running clubs pirate Grin

There is a lady who has offered to do the extra miles on top of the usual Monday night club run with me and I really need to take her up on the offer as I'm missing that middling-long weekly run. I seem to be either doing 5k or a 90 minute long run and nothing in the middle at the moment.

I'm considering signing up for a 6th half marathon for the year too!

Fishandjam · 14/06/2014 13:28

865.35 with my 500m jog to and from my Parkrun marshalling position.

Wish me luck for the 10k tomorrow. I am slightly terrified...

emummy · 14/06/2014 13:45

Good luck fish, you can do it! I have my first 10k next Sunday at the race for life, am a wee bit nervous too. Dd1 plans to come and laugh at me doing the warm up!

originalpiratematerial · 14/06/2014 14:11

Good luck fish although I'm sure you'll be fine!

HalleLouja · 14/06/2014 14:32

Fish I was terrified this time last week and survived. I felt like I was taking a driving test.

SeymoreButts · 14/06/2014 14:45

Good luck fish!!

City to Surf is on the 10th August, I prob need to set my sights on a 10k first?!

thefemaleJoshLyman · 14/06/2014 16:59

Good luck fish. Are you running the Hunts 10k too?

Blatherskite · 14/06/2014 17:23

Good Luck fish. You'll be great.

Morrigu · 14/06/2014 19:08

Good luck for tomorrow fish

5 parkrun to add 870.35. pb day so well chuffed as I knocked nearly two mins off my previous.

Seymore I stopped drinking when I stopped smoking and started running. The odd time I will have a shandy and once in the last six months I've had a glass of wine. I'd rather run that bit further or faster the next day and truth be told older age meant drinking was making me feel a bit grim, running makes me feel good. Easy choice for me to make.

fingersonbuzzers · 14/06/2014 19:55

Good luck fish!

Well done on your pb morrigu, that's a very impressive improvement!

seymore I haven't drunk since New Year and I know my running has improved. Going to keep it for occasional nights out from now on when I start again.

Didn't make parkrun this morning so did 5k while DH put the kids to bed this morning so that's 875.35

karatekimmi · 14/06/2014 20:32

a parkrun 5k to add on for me (I never think to include my warmup running)

I think there was an error earlier up and the correct total is 885.35 including my 5k, if someone wants to check?

I haven't back read previous threads so feel free to tell me to butt out if we are totalling for a reason, but maybe we could do amount of time running one month, so us slow coaches get to add in more!!

Fishandjam · 14/06/2014 20:57

That IS the Hunts 10k Josh. It is tomorrow, isn't it?!

Chopstheduck · 14/06/2014 21:51

889.8

A woefully short run from me - got side tracked by a gorgeous husky running lose on a 40mph road. Caught him, took him home and the dog warden collected him. Fortunately was microchipped and has been reunited with his owner :)

cinnamongreyhound · 14/06/2014 22:02

Well done runners and good luck racers for tomorrow!

I make it the same as you karatekimmi. I think t was just something to aim for. We did miles last time and km this so I don't see why we can't go for hours next time :)

No running for me today, RD at parkrun and then a groupon spa afternoon after that. Will hopefully do 6+ miles tomorrow if it doesn't interfere too much with Father's Day!

postmanpatscat · 14/06/2014 22:37

5k to add from me making 894.8 km

Well done morrigu and good luck tomorrow's racers.

postmanpatscat · 15/06/2014 11:02

Another 5.5km from me this morning making 900.3 km

Where are you all?!

postmanpatscat · 15/06/2014 11:04

Oh, and a new PB - faster kilometre time slashed from 5:10 to 4:57!

emummy · 15/06/2014 11:12

Here postmanpatscat! 6.1 from me, so 906.4. Didn't post earlier as had to go to church, sitting there feeling unwell then realized I'd forgotten to eat post run as too busy running about getting dcs ready! Now munching an apple and feeling much better. Good luck to all racing today, we are going on a Father's Day bike ride after lunch.
