I made it 769 but could be wrong! I think it was the unbolded post that threw everyone Grin

postmanpatscat · 12/06/2014 19:11

Maybe I missed that one too! I added seymore's run, did you?

cinnamongreyhound · 12/06/2014 20:51

Ah no, was that 1.8?

cinnamongreyhound · 12/06/2014 20:54

I have another 8km to add so will add it to yours postmanpatscat making 778.8 :)

thefemaleJoshLyman · 12/06/2014 21:51

I have 12k from this week to add, making the total 790.8k.

Have the Hunts 10k on Sunday, hoping to run it in about 50minutes. Might be a bit slower - my cv is not as good as it was before my injury.

Need to plan now for the HM in October, plan some interval and hill training, although hills are a little bit difficult to come by in Cambs.

Fishandjam · 12/06/2014 23:06

I hear that Wimpole Parkrun is quite hilly Josh?

KristinaM · 12/06/2014 23:51

I did a 10k race tonight and a 5 km jog yesterday . Race time was only 7 secs slower than my PB but I was delighted because it was a fairly hilly course with some on unmade muddy paths ( a big deal for a wimpy road runners like me ) and my PB is on a flattish course .

I was thinking of not running tonight because I've had a long and tiring day at work, followed by school parents evening . Plus AF decided to arrive this afternoon , I'm always so tired on first day . But I'm glad I did, honestly I felt better after the race than before

So that's 805.8

cinnamongreyhound · 13/06/2014 07:15

Well done KristinaM, running always helps with both those things for me :)

I did a hoohaa 10k at wimpole and there's a blimmin big hill, it is apparently the same one they use at their parkrun but haven't done it to confirm. You can always find enough of a hill for training purposes somewhere I think.

KristinaM · 13/06/2014 07:24

There are lots of hills where I run regularly, you would think I'd be better at them. And our park run course is hilly.

I've been trying to do some more hill repeats recently, so I think that's paying off a bit

( In the sense that I can now jog up them slowly rather walk Blush )

cinnamongreyhound · 13/06/2014 08:00

I think a lot depends on your running style but training definitely helps! I often pass people on hills in races but I have a very short stride, haven't been training regularly Since nov :(

Fishandjam · 13/06/2014 08:57

Interesting cinnamon. I have a short stride too (always feel a bit like Wile E Coyote just after he runs off the cliff) but I often overtake other parkrunners on the few slopes at Hinch.

feetheart · 13/06/2014 10:49

That's my excuse for hills sorted then - long legs therefore long stride length :)
:o at Wile E Coyote

Having to rest things here at the moment as shins still achy from Zoo Stampede. Will do Superhero 5k on Sunday (dressed as 'Winston's Wish Woman' with Batman DS) and the Colour5k in Northampton the following w/e but not much running in-between :( :( However will concentrate on 30 day press-up and plank challenge, physio exercises and some swimming/aquafit to keep things going. New inserts ordered and trip to sports shop for new trainers planned.

emummy · 13/06/2014 11:03

813.5
7.7k for me today, included intervals - does that count for extra?!
Feetheart superhero and color runs sound like great fun, hope you gave a good time and good luck to Batman ds!

Blatherskite · 13/06/2014 12:24

It's a running joke that 'The Wife' has only to say "Blaths, come and do this run with me" and I've signed up but today takes the biscuit!

Are you doing anything special for Bedford parkrun's birthday this weekend OhOne?

Blatherskite · 13/06/2014 12:27

Are you coming to MK parkrun tomorrow fingers?

fingersonbuzzers · 13/06/2014 13:41

Hi blathers - I'm still waiting to find out if my friend can take DD to a party tomorrow, but if I don't have to do party duty I will be there! Hope it isn't too hot, though?

I haven't been able to get out much this week as DD2 has been off sick from pre school, but I managed 5k last ngiht between DH getting home and me going out for dinner so that gives us 818.5

fingersonbuzzers · 13/06/2014 13:42

Thanks Kristina for your HM advice.

Am quaking a bit at finding the time to run 60k per week! But I guess if it's only for a few months like you say it may be doable..

KristinaM · 13/06/2014 13:56

AFAIK the " 3 times race distance " is ideal rather than compulsory Wink

Blatherskite · 13/06/2014 14:33

4.5km - UP HILLS IN THE SUN - from me. Gives us 823

That was more fun than it sounded. Really glad I went now.

originalpiratematerial · 13/06/2014 18:03

8.5 km from me today. I will not tell you how slow they were, lest you pull something laughing. So that's 831.5.

originalpiratematerial · 13/06/2014 18:06

I'm not doing parkrun this week - I need to do a longish run on Sunday and, having run today, I think I am just going to take DS3 out tomorrow, that's a bit of exercise. I wouldn't enjoy parkrun in this heat and there's no way on God's green earth I'd get a PB.

Did I tell you I've signed up for Race of Life 10k later this month?

Blatherskite · 13/06/2014 18:24

I signed up fro a 10k today too!

I've got 1 on the 1st July too. At this rate I might actually get the 12 medals for the year that I wanted :)

originalpiratematerial · 13/06/2014 19:15

Wow Blathers, you are Blathers the Unstoppable Running Machine! This will only be my second one ever and I'm less fit than when I did the first one, in April Hmm.

Sirzy · 13/06/2014 19:17

I have a race for life 10k next week. Just aiming to be faster than Manchester (a snail would probably be faster though!)

Standingonlego · 13/06/2014 20:11

Sorry to hear you are still a bit achy feetheart but hope you have fun as superheroes - that batman DS of yours is super fast Grin

I have a measley 2km to add from the treadmill bit of my gym session today so taking us to 833.15 - every step counts i guess

Planning to parkrun in the morning, looking up the Northampton colour run and DH has suggested this 10k in a couple of weeks time (near my parents) so need to keep the legs going
