Grin 17-18 sounds roasting to me!

Good luck and enjoy :)

KristinaM · 08/06/2014 00:18

Best of luck to you all

Knackerelli · 08/06/2014 06:57

Good luck to all at whipsnade today! Have a good run. Smile

cinnamongreyhound · 08/06/2014 07:40

Hope it's not too warm at whipsnade, have fun!

Mitchy1nge · 08/06/2014 11:16

good luck all :) what a lovely place for it and great weather

cinnamongreyhound · 08/06/2014 11:28

Had a lovely if warm run this morning, got a bit too warm for the dogs so a slow ending but still 10k to add :) 500.3

HalleLouja · 08/06/2014 12:17

10k to add from sunny Whipsnade. 513.3k.

My time is in the region of 1 hour 3 mins. Not bad for my first one. Managed a sprint finish. Met the lovely feetheart.

Morrigu · 08/06/2014 13:03

Did I just read on fb that an antelope escaped during whipsnade?

HalleLouja · 08/06/2014 13:41

Didn't hear that Morrigu but I almost passed out afterwards. Am thinking of signing up for Herts 10k later this year.

KristinaM · 08/06/2014 14:08

1:03 is excellent for a first 10k Halle, well done

feetheart · 08/06/2014 15:13

Yes Morrigu - children's 2k race had to be recalled due to 'antelope on the line' :o

I think I was close to 60mins but forgot to stop my watch (too busy trying not to throw-up - sorry if TMI) No idea how to get chip results so just waiting rather impatiently
Managed to meet up with HalleLouja, Lego and Blathers (all equally lovely :)) but failed to spot Cardiff and forgot to go to the wolefs afterwards, sorry if anyone was waiting there Blush

feetheart · 08/06/2014 15:14

523.3 with my 10k

Mitchy1nge · 08/06/2014 15:41

well done everybody :) must be nice to put faces to names, is making me excited about wolf run later this year!

have 5 miles for our pot, must be 8k ish? PLEASE can it stay warm now, it gives me such a sense of well-being to run in the sun (rights to revise this opinion when in south of France soon are reserved)

originalpiratematerial · 08/06/2014 16:10

Sounds fab, well done all the Whipsnade runners!

CardiffUniversityNetballTeam · 08/06/2014 16:19

541.3 is the total with mitchy's run and my Whipsnade 10k.

I am so hot and tired and full of hay fever, but I'm so glad i made it round! I think my time was about 1hr 7min, I will also wait to see my chip time impatiently.

It was lovely to meet the lovely standingonlego as well. Sorry I missed everyone else. It was so busy at the finish and I was so hot I got a bit disoriented if I'm honest! I saw all blathers crew in their green vests but I couldn't pick you out blathers, sorry! And I forgot to go to the wolves too, DS got all over excited about going on the steam train.

Now off to eat everything in sight and have a little sleep I think!

emummy · 08/06/2014 17:31

Well done to all at Whipsnade! 9k from me so 550.3. Felt sluggish but time ok; am planning a diet overhaul to see if that perks me up.

HalleLouja · 08/06/2014 17:46

You can see chip times via link on email sent today. My time was 62 mins 25 secs. Think feetheart you were a little in front of me. You were for most of the race. Though lost my mojo at 8km. Though from out of nowhere I managed a sprint finish.

HalleLouja · 08/06/2014 17:47

Lots of thoughs in that paragraph.

CardiffUniversityNetballTeam · 08/06/2014 17:51

Just been on to see my chip time halle, indeed it was 1h7m. I came 429th or something!
Well done on your 1h2m! Such a lovely (if very hot and busy) day!Grin

karatekimmi · 08/06/2014 18:45

Well done all, sounds like a fab day out.

Can I add 5k to the pot, I'm coaching shouting at and falling with my sister to do 5k, doing walk/run at the minute.

555.3

Sirzy · 08/06/2014 19:00

well done to everyone who ran today.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 08/06/2014 19:08

Glad to hear the Whipsnaders had a great time Grin

Another 10K from me this evening to add to yesterday's 5K parkrun tourism makes us 570.3 (I read back to check if I'd posted yesterday and had cross posted with someone else, so the 5 didn't count yesterday Smile

originalpiratematerial · 08/06/2014 19:48

Very sad - a friend who did Southend HM today reports that a man in his thirties collapsed at the finish and couldn't be revived Sad.

Fishandjam · 08/06/2014 20:37

Well done to all the Whipsnaders! Some great times there.

That's sad originalpirate. I guess that's always going to be a danger, especially on hot days. Horrible for his family.

Josh, are you doing the Alconbury 10k? I've signed up but am bricking it a bit - never run that far before (only done 8k) and will probably only manage 1hr 20ish. Do you think people will mind that I'm so slow??

ThursdayLast · 08/06/2014 20:48

Oh no pirate that is horrid. His poor family.

Well done to everyone else - sounds like the Whipsnade crew had a successful day!

Attempted to do 5miles, but back did mega twinging at approx 2miles, so turned around and walked back (over stiles which didn't bloody help).
Hey ho.
I'll add my 3k so 573,3
