5.2k to add from me this morning so 203.8
Tried Kristina's intervals advice and did 5 x 45secs at fast pace in the middle but felt like hard going all the way round and wasn't the most enjoyable run.

Well done to everyone who is getting out there and doing their stuff, especially Shosha's DS (just WOW :)) and wishing speedy recoveries to all those who are sitting things out with injuries.

feetheart · 03/06/2014 09:27

Go for it Cinnamon or you could wait until the end of October and do the Luton half with me (or you could do both :o)

emummy · 03/06/2014 10:49

210
Another run in the sun! 6.2k interval session, resulted in running it 4 mins faster than any previous 6k run, and it hurt less than last week, so progress! And I got to try out my new Ronhill running vest, very comfy it was too.

Runkittyrun · 03/06/2014 11:52

cinnamon I just went to look at St neots and it says its full already!

Blatherskite · 03/06/2014 12:23

Did you get in cinnamon?

cinnamongreyhound · 03/06/2014 12:27

No I decided not to, I filled in the form and then I saw the price has gone up so it's only £3 cheaper than Norwich so that made my mind up! Doing Norwich and will hopefully do silverstone in march and if I don't get leg 7 on the rnr that I've applied for in my club I'll do grunty fen, sorted! Will go back and read when I get home :)

vladthedisorganised · 03/06/2014 14:04

216.5k with 6.5k of intervals from me - very hot! I was promised rain today Confused

I did manage it slightly faster than I have done previously though, which was nice.

cinnamongreyhound · 03/06/2014 14:06

Oh no youbemummylion, sorry to hear that!

Well done PolkaSpottyDotty, that's fab!!!

Another 6.4km to add (using Blatherskite's calculation!) for me today so total 216.4.

cinnamongreyhound · 03/06/2014 14:08

X-posts so 222.9 total!

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 03/06/2014 15:10

St Neots sold out already Shock? I was going to register this afternoon!

briteside · 03/06/2014 15:36

Well done Polka ! Brilliant run!!

Sorry to hear about the injuries, especially mummylion's stress fracture.

vlad & emummy well done on the intervals. I find it really difficult to motivate myself...after a few meters at a fast pace, I drop back down to my usual slow pace.

I had a lovely 6.2km run through Regents Park to Primrose Hill (Although I did not actually make it UP the hill Grin ) so our total is to 222.6 km

I forgot to take my music & garmin, which was actually surprisingly nice for a change. I didn't think about my pace or cadence or distance and just..er....ran!

cinnamongreyhound · 03/06/2014 16:20

Yep it was quick last year too OhOneOhTwoOhThree but you can register to officially transfer a place.

Total is 229.1 briteside because we x posted earlier :)

karatekimmi · 03/06/2014 17:53

Need to send my application off for the lake vyrny (sp) half marathon in September!! I did the market Drayton 10k in May so would like to keep the distance up!!

Morrigu · 03/06/2014 20:54

Sorry to hear about the stress facture mummylion, although Ben and Jerrys and wine sounds very good to me :) Is there any other sort of exercise you are allowed to do?

Just a small 3.7 to add from me as I was waiting for v important news today and didn't want to leave the house for any length of time. Quick warm up/cool down with some hill sprints in between. Makes it 232.8 I believe.

youbethemummylion · 03/06/2014 22:22

Im seeing someone from orthopaedics tomorrow so we will see what I can do whilst im waiting for it to fix itself for the moment im sticking to ice cream therapy. Happy running everyone. I was supposed to be doing a colour run 5k with DS1 who is 7 in July and he has raised lots of sponsorship for a local hospice so I am determined to do it with him even if I have to hobble the whole way.

cinnamongreyhound · 03/06/2014 22:32

I quite badly broken 3 metatarsals and I was running after 8 weeks so I'm sure you'll be able to hobble :)

Runkittyrun · 03/06/2014 22:48

7km from me, making the total 239.8. Been looking at the Ipswich half but it's the same day as RNR so may be not! Some of my running club have got St Neots places - by booking at 0645!

mummylion like your therapy regime Smile hope the orthopedics appt goes well tomorrow.

cinnamongreyhound · 03/06/2014 22:52

Are you doing the rnr Runkittyrun? There were still places at 10 for St Neots.

youbethemummylion · 03/06/2014 23:09

Oh thats good news Cinnamon

KristinaM · 04/06/2014 00:17

10k from me so 259.8

After the hill repeats yesterday I think I found the hills a little easier. Although it might be psychological

Sorry to hear about everyone struggling with injuries.

KristinaM · 04/06/2014 00:19

Oops sorry I mean 20k

vladthedisorganised · 04/06/2014 09:56

That's impressive Kristina!

Hope your appointment goes well mummylion. I really fancy doing a colour run next year - they look like a huge amount of fun, hope you're recovered enough to enjoy it. And well done to your DS!

originalpiratematerial · 04/06/2014 09:59

5k this morning so 264.8.

I feel the urge to buy some new running shoes. I'm down to one pair at the moment. And the Nike Free shoes I bought for running on treadmill at the gym give me huge, though surprisingly painless, blisters on my instep.

I tend to over pronate so have been wearing Brooks Adrenalin for ages. Any other shoes good for over pronation? (Sorry spelling looks wrong Hmm.)

CardiffUniversityNetballTeam · 04/06/2014 10:02

5K from me this morning so 269.8.

I have Asics GT-100 shoes pirate for slight over-pronation. They are very nice, if a little PINK. Grin

ThursdayLast · 04/06/2014 11:49

Good luck today mummylion
Back still stiff here but did a gentle home work out yesterday which seems to have helped.
DS stressing me out this am, so I just shoved him in his cot and did 8.2k Wink
So that 278
Blimey!
What are we aiming for?
