Well done on KBT Jackster. I went to a spinning class for the first time in a long time last night. Was quite hard work! Thought my legs might be sore today but it doesn't appear so. Not sure yet what I am doing today - maybe NMTZ.

I did NMTZ. My back is tweaking quite a lot today- think the spin could be a culprit as sitting and leaning forward is not good for it. Am trying metafit at the gym tomorrow as long as back holds up.

Decided descretion is the better form of valour and all that. Did Bobs yoga instead. Power walking to the gym and back (5 miles) and doing bums, legs and tums.

Bums, legs and tums was all quite achievable after a few weeks of Bob Harpers attentions!! I was fascinated by one of the women there- teeny tiny and very toned apart from massive probably high and non- moving breasts. Immobile face and massive lips. This is small town Lincolnshire- we don't have many specimens like that! I tried not to stare like a country bumpkin....

Rest day today, but ShaunT's "lower focus" yesterday (ouch) and will try to do something both days of the w/e.

Thinking of signing up for an "insanity" class in the evenings from Sept! Gulp! I have no idea if I will be totally shown up or if I'm actually passably fit. This is one of the drawbacks of only exercising with DVDs - lack of comparison to others!

Managed low impact 30DS L1 and L2 the last few days so feel eligible to post.

Bit breathless bit still do-able.

Liking the chat - inspiring when I hopefully regain fitness at some point!

Last day of holiday and as predicted my dvd has not left my suitcase Grin lots of walking, swimming and jumping around with the kids though. I may have succumbed to advertising and ordered Shaun T's Hip Hop Abs system! It was an offer to good to resist Grin

daddypig well done for keeping up the low impact stuff. How're you keeping?

i'dkick I like hip hop abs - borrowed it from a friend as my first intro to Shaun T. It's a lot less hardcore than his other stuff, but good fun.

You'll be proud of me: due to last-minute change of plan, found myself at PILs' without any gym gear today, but they do own an exercise bike - so I ended up doing a bike session dressed in my 7yo DS's t-shirt and joggers - which on me were a rather fetching fitted T and cropped leggings! Grin

Grin great stuff Jackster! The whole set was only £19.99 which I thought was bargainous! Always room in my collection for a bit more Mr.T Smile I got back and DH took the kids to show his mum and dad all the tat they got on holiday Grin so I did my martial arts dvd (love it!) and a bit of BFBM
You're really great to keep it up Daddy I'd like to think I would if I was pregnant but bet I wouldn't! I'll never know now ;)

idkick sounds like a fairly active holiday nonetheless. Don't even professional athletes have 2 weeks off a year? Grin

The set for £19.99 - is that off Amazon? What is the martial arts DVD? (Always on the lookout for new stuff...)

jackster rather impressed you can fit a 7 year old's tshirt!

I'm keeping well - do JM only once or twice a week and still cycling or the odd swim plus yoga. And dog walks. Much lower pace. Weirdly, I get really out of breath climbing the 4 flights of stairs at work - what's that all about!

I got it from the hip hop avs website, the martial arts dvd if Fit.fx and that was from amazon, really recommend it but it is quite hardcore cardio. You werent Rooneymara before?

Ri30 L2D1 done yesterday. I'm getting a bit narked off with it all to be honest. Some of the exercises I can do really easily on the harder level and others I can't even do the modified version. It's very frustrating.

It is aggravating isn't it Stunt I did NMTZ today and really struggled with the shoulder exercises. On a higher note I went on a ride with DH today and it was the first time i've cycled in about 20 years and I really enjoyed it

The shoulder stuff is my nemesis too.

But if it was all as hard for me as the shoulder stuff is, I wouldn't enjoy it as much.

I think females don't naturally build strength there as easily.

It's the lack of a balanced work out Notyummy. I can do bicycle crunches until the cows come home but I can't do the hollow man at all. Also some of the compound movements require too much coordination to maintain form. So I can do an anterior raise with 3 kg weights but if I want to combine it with a sideways lunge then I have to use 1 kg weights to maintain form.

I am trying to remember L2 Ripped as it gas been a while since I did it! I guess its worth remembering that compound stuff generally works the core harder as it involves balance too (serving biceps with lunges for example- if you ding put your foot down then the balance work will activate the core.) So although it feels harder and hence more frustrating, your body is getting a lot more out of the exercise. She uses Hollow in one format or another in most of her DVDs so I assume it is a good exercise. I guess lifting your legs higher takes the strain off- you could drop them down for a little while and lift them up again as soon as it gets too much? Good luck! There is a big difference between 1 and 2 in Ripped. L1 so easy abc them all of a sudden L2 really isn't!

I did 45 mins on the cross trainer on Sunday and then a rest day yesterday. About to do Bobs Workout, which is hard

Whoo! Moved up to 30DS L2 today. Definitely a step up. Got back from hols and did a couple of 'refreshers' on L1, but ready to move on now. Not because I can do it all, but just need something different.

Am also cutting right down on carbs after having rather a lot of pastries while away. Not easy as am veggie, but am managing ok so far. Felt pretty yuck for the first couple of days, though - could have been post-holiday comedown, I suppose. Feeling a lot better now, but skin is still a bit ropey. Does carb flu give you spots?

MFP is helping - mainly because the faff of having to enter something into the app puts me off eating it!
