Well done Kick, definitely deserve the Sancerre :)

spinningirl10 · 31/05/2014 09:30

Morning Grin

I'm going to try and fit something in later today. Got some boxes that need unpacking/sorting and some gardening to do first! I'm feeling the effects of Bobs cardio in my legs, middle and bum today....must be workingGrin

StuntNun · 31/05/2014 11:01

I bought myself a BH kettlebell DVD and my DH has just presented me with Ri30 so it looks like my training is going up a notch! I've also been reading Lift Like a Man Look Like a Goddess for stage 4 of my master plan but I'll need to save up for some fitness equipment before that currently stony broke so it might be a while.

IdkickJilliansAss · 31/05/2014 11:05

Let us know what the BH dvd is like Stunt I hovered between that and SIWW. That was nice of your DH Smile

StuntNun I did the New Rules of Lifting for Women (the lift like a man book) before my wedding 5 years ago, it was brilliant and I loved it but I was a member of a gym then so they had all the equipment. I think I did 3 weights sessions and 3 HIIT sessions a week, I was the fittest I'd ever been. I didn't actually finish the whole program though.

StuntNun · 31/05/2014 15:23

It does sound brilliant Better. DH and I are hoping to get a home gym set up in the garage but it'll be a while before we can afford it. After two c sections my tummy is in a bit of a desperate state and I reckon it's going to take pretty intensive exercise to do much about it. I'm hoping to build up my strength and fitness with JM-type compound exercises then start weight training again in earnest once my youngest DC is going to bed more easily in the evenings.

BetterWithCheese · 31/05/2014 16:19

Sounds like a great plan StuntNun. I think I'll probably join a gym again when I go back to work after mat leave and have another go at it.

spinningirl10 · 31/05/2014 18:17

Sounds great StuntGrin

I've just done NMTZ.

OkyDoke · 31/05/2014 22:18

Well done everyone! Didnt manage 30ds yesterday or today bur have been for a forty minute power walk/jog soim happy witb that! Will do 30ds tomorrow!

oohdaddypig · 31/05/2014 22:29

Evening everyone. You are still inspiring me with your chat. I am still reading...

Managed only 2/3 of RI30L1 tonight. Even JM shouting "get up" couldn't shift my leaden backside :)

stunt impressive plan. I think if the equipment is right in front of you it's harder to ignore :)

spinningirl10 · 01/06/2014 09:55

Well done okey Grin

Oohdaddy, you're doing really well to be doing any exercise while you're pregnant, as I remember the first trimester is exhausting.....hope you're keeping well.

I had a rubbish nights sleep....dp was on a night shift and I never sleep so well when he's not there. My ds decided it was a good idea to get up at 5.45!!!! Really should have exercised then but I opted for sorting the garden rubbish I cleared up yesterday and loading it into the car for the tip. I will try and fit something in later today, want to do BH ripped core all the way through.

IdkickJilliansAss · 01/06/2014 10:21

My DS got up at 5.45 too Spinning! Conspiracy? L1 SIWW done with the non assistance of 3 DC!

OP posts:
StuntNun · 01/06/2014 12:16

My DS3 was up at that time too! Definitely a conspiracy. Fortunately DH got up with him and I got a lie in until 7:30. Luxury!

Ri30 L1D1 done and kettlebells core workout. Pilates starts again tomorrow after ages off due to bank holidays, Easter and teacher training days so I expect it will be brutal. I'm hoping to do BH kettlebells tomorrow too glutton for punishment that I am.

BetterWithCheese · 01/06/2014 12:19

I finished the 30DS today despite the efforts of my children who seemed determined to stop me from completing my last one. I think I'm going to have to get up first thing and workout in the future as the baby isn't sleeping for long enough mid-morning any more.

BetterWithCheese · 01/06/2014 12:22

Oh and my son was also up at 5.30, except it was so bright I thought it was 7. Maybe they all did too?

spinningirl10 · 01/06/2014 12:32

Goodness, definitely a conspiracy this morningGrin

Better, well done on completing shred!

Stunt, that sounds very energetic for early morning, well done.

Kick, what do you think of SIWW?

IdkickJilliansAss · 01/06/2014 12:48

I really like it, miss BH's screen timer though!

OP posts:
spinningirl10 · 01/06/2014 18:38

Hmm I might get it.

I've just done BH ripped coreGrin what a fantastic workout, you can feel it working as you're doing it, loved it!

StuntNun · 01/06/2014 19:53

I was put off by the reviews of SIWW so I got BH Kettlebell Sculpted Body instead. I'm going to give it a try tomorrow.

spinningirl10 · 02/06/2014 06:34

Let us know how that is Stunt. The JM one appeals to me as you don't need to buy a kettle bell.

Where's Errol? Not seen her for a few days, maybe she's on the shred thread.

knottyhair · 02/06/2014 07:05

Gordon Bennett, this thread moves fast! That's a good thing obviously Smile. I like SIWW (although I've only done each level once). Want to get Bob's Kettlebell one but I'm just aware it's not that often I can do more than half an hour. I do love him though.
Did Ripped L4 this morning - felt a bit of a weakling though. Really struggled with the static squat presses (only managed 2kg), and had to do the chattanooga choo choo press ups on my knees. I like the last abs bit though. 4.5 mile round trip walk to Music Bugs this morning - DS on INSET day today so he gets to come with me, he's so happy Hmm. Going to do half of NMTZ tomorrow, half of BFBM Weds, not sure about Thurs, either ES&S or SIWW. Friday I must rest apparently as I'm doing my 20 mile Pink Ribbon Walk on Saturday - might do YM though, see how I feel. Have a good week y'all Smile.

OkyDoke · 02/06/2014 10:53

What does everyone recommend to move onto after the 30DS, pay day is here so I want to be prepared and get my next DVD! My biggest problem area is my legs - I know you cant spot reduce but do you think something cardio based to reduce fat might be a good start?

knottyhair · 02/06/2014 12:30

Okydoke, Ripped in 30 is a good option - similar format to the Shred but there are 4 levels. If you fancy a change, Banish Fat Boost Metabolism is 7 x 6 min circuits, no weights, more cardio based. Killer Buns & Thighs would also be good, one of my favourites Smile.

StuntNun · 02/06/2014 14:16

An hour of Pilates done and BH Sculpted Body. The BH DVD was difficult and I was only using a 4kg bell, the poor woman on the DVD was using a 9kg bell and she was absolutely dying. I think it's a good kettlebell workout but not for beginners as Bob doesn't cover technique at all and the woman he has demonstrating doesn't seem to have used a kettlebell before so you can't just copy her. I'm going to stick with the core workout from Kettlebells for Beginners if I have time after a Ri30 session and alternate days with BH or Pilates.

FailureIsNotAnOption · 02/06/2014 14:22

Just joining this thread so not read back but is anyone doing the 1 week shred, just started today and its a KILLER!
