Another one very motivated by the 86 year old!
I have stood at the start every year for the last 6 (apart from this year where I watched on telly as we're away) saying I'd love to do it but I couldn't. Reading 'Running Like a Girl' really made me think....if she can do it maybe I can too. I'll be entering the ballot definitely. Considering whether to enter Brighton as a back-up plan so that I can definitely do a marathon next spring one way or another.
Really hope you're enjoying yourself, Orange, and anyone else running the marathon today! Looking forward to hearing how it went. It's a lovely day for it again.
Did my first parkrun yesterday at my parents local park and was really chuffed with 24.30 and 5th female home. That's a PB over 5km for me and on a grassy course with a couple of hills too. TBH my Garmin said it was only 4.90, but I figure I'd just have sneaked in under 25 minutes if I'd run an extra 100m, which is good enough for me!
