Ill join you. I did it last year and found it amazing. I felt really strong and well.
I had rest days- 2 or sometimes 3 a week. I also do it first thing- get up, glass of water and straight to it. I'm still half asleep so don't have to think too much!

VelvetDuvet · 26/02/2014 17:22

I'm in! Think I managed about ten days last time which is really poor. I've lost weight but I'm very flabby now. Like jelly.

MarianneEnjolras · 26/02/2014 18:04

I've just (re-started) couch to 5k today so I will be shredding on my non running days. My plan is;

Monday - shred
Tuesday - rest day (but May shred if I feel up to it)
Wednesday - run
Thursday - shred
Friday - run
Saturday - shred
Sunday - run

I can't exercise early in the morning as I feel far too weak and it's a million times harder. I can't do it after eating breakfast either so middle of the day or early evening exercise for me.

MammaGnomes · 26/02/2014 18:19

im in!!!!

just refound the dvd after it being missing since erm November. my DD is able to entertain herself now so I have no excuse. might also help me kick the maternity cake fetish I seem to have.

MikeLitoris · 26/02/2014 18:36

Ok then I'm in.

I have been cutting out sugar and junk in general for the last 6 weeks and have only lost 1lb so I defo need tk cracking with the exercise.

Saying that I'm not to bothered about weight loss but I really need to tone up. I have some really unattractive lumps :(

GandTnow · 27/02/2014 08:55

Brilliant, and yes please Errol I think you're right about support from threads. Also great to know that you've done the whole thing and not only lived to tell the tale but have come back for more!

I've been thinking about doing this, I haven't got the dvd but is this it on youtube?

I've been going on my exercise bike 5 days out of 7 (doing at least 20 miles each time) for the last 2 weeks but not noticed any difference.

I eat loads of junk (choc crisps sweets etc) so I have decided to cut out as much as possible and use myfitnesspal to really keep an eye on what I'm eating.

I've done day 1 of the shred and my arms are still shaking an hour later. It was very hard with 20 month old DS2 clawing at my feet so had to put cbeebies on Blush.

At least it's out the way and I'm dreading tomorrow because I won't be able to move.

MikeLitoris · 27/02/2014 10:48

What is myfitness pal?

Dontbugmemalone · 27/02/2014 11:02

MikeLitoris- Myfitnesspal is a website that has a food and exercise diary and you write everything you ate/and exercise so you can count calories. By adding some information about activity levels and weight loss goals, it can estimate your recommended daily calorie intake.

RunningKatie · 27/02/2014 21:22

I am in, dh is going away with work and i need to do something. 17 weeks to our holiday, i'm no longer bf'ing ds so no more excuses.

I've done day 1 of the dvd, that was it. Sad

puds11isNAUGHTYnotNAICE · 27/02/2014 21:23

I'll join again! I did it last year for 40 days in a row, with no difference. I was still stuffing my face though so would like to do it again eating sensibly.

I'm going to start saturday.

Signed up to MFP and if I want to lose two stone I should be aiming for 1300 odd calories a day so that's what i'm aiming for. I'm not bothered so much about the numbers but I felt my best about 1.5 stone off what I am now.

I've just added you tibili Smile

I did it yesterday, was quite interesting with 3yo DS trying to pretend hoover around me as I was doing it Grin

I didn't find it too bad actually, I think my fitness level must have increased from using the bike without me realising it.
I can't do push ups to save my life Grin and that very last set of crunches at the end oh my word Shock
I'm feeling it more in my upper arms than anywhere else.

I thought it seemed quite light on cardio, not that I'm complaining!
I was even able to go on the bike straight afterwards.

Does anyone know how many calories (approx) it uses up? I hazarded a guess at 250 so I could enter it on MFP

ErrolTheDragon · 28/02/2014 11:38

MrJolly - I log it as 'circuit training, general'. I do a few extra exercises afterwards so put it down as 30 mins which comes out as 232. I'm not sure whether that's an over or under estimate.

If you can't do press-ups, try doing inclined press-ups instead. Start at whatever level you can manage - which may be against the wall or using eg a kitchen counter, sofa arm - anything solid. Then you can gradually work down as you get stronger. I've still not reached the floor! (I can do the knee press-ups now, but just doing those I wasn't progressing).

RunningKatie · 28/02/2014 12:16

i'm just trying to get to grips with mfp. I am quite liking zapping bar codes of things, makes it much easier.

I'm going for a 3 mile walk in a bit with 5 stone of lazy toddlers & double buggy. Then i have to work out how to log exercise! Wink

I couldn't find it - if you can please do enlighten us.

WipsGlitter · 28/02/2014 17:26

How long does the actual work out last?

puds11isNAUGHTYnotNAICE · 28/02/2014 17:28

In either Tib I literally saw no difference. I was taking weekly pics as well, but nothing changed. This time I'll do it properly though. I need to see a change.

20mins wips

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 28/02/2014 18:11

Oh Tib that 30 day shred on MFP might be the one I guessed at and added yesterday (250 cals?) ...it was just a guestimate - and probably a bit over judging by Errol's post above - I forgot it gets saved for everyone to use Blush

Just about to do day 2, wish I'd done it this morning!
