I need to have someone to do this with, I tried it once and got to day 3 but then gave up. Please join me if you want to attempt this with me.

I think you're all right, I need a change. I just don't like not completing it, makes me feel I've failed. I want to see if I'll get that 6 pack in 6 weeks! Actually, I think if I stick with it it would happen because I can see the definition just starting to appear. However, L2 is not doing anything for me. I was enjoying it all before and feeling good.

What should I move onto? I've got my unopened triple pack which contains:

  • Ripped in 30
  • Killer Buns and Thighs
  • Extreme Shed and Shred

Like the sound of NMTZ and still intrigued by kettlebells but I have to do something from this triple pack!

Had a quick look at the stomach vacuum thing before I went on the school run. Might give that a try tomorrow.

ChickenLidl, I didn't have problems with my calves, it was my bum and thighs that really hurt in the first few days of the Shred; walking down stairs or sitting down was agony. I know other people have said it hurt in their calves. I hope they have some ideas for you. My aches and pains went around day 4 or 5.

spinningirl10 · 26/03/2014 21:31

Lindt...I just finished Ri30 and really enjoyed it, great workout and I can see a difference. I'm only on L1 on KB&T but so far it's good and my bum is aching so I think it must be doing something!

For those asking about NMTZ I've only done it once and it is a mix of strength and cardio. If I remember rightly it works different muscle groups in the different circuits......I'll do it again over the weekend and report back. Had an awful day and my mind is frazzled!!!

yadahyadah · 26/03/2014 21:44

D9L1 30 DS. Also am developing a crush on Jillian... Those eyebrows, that mouth ... Yanywayz, Lindt70percent how about Ripped in 30? Just coz, I saw on a forum that people have had really good results from it. Or just check out your new DVDs over the next few days by doing one routine from each and seeing which one feels good for now. I guess as long as you are doing something, it doesn't have to be a focused time-specific programme. chickenlidl I had tight calves for a few days into L1 and found it passes after a bit. Try some lavender oil rub on your legs post workout.

ErrolTheDragon · 26/03/2014 22:40

I'm enjoying Ri30 too - g'wan Lindt, give it a go.

Chicken - should start to get better right about now. As to the calves - well, I really didn't like the first cardio circuit of shred with the jacks and jump rope together so I swapped those around with the second circuit so the calf-killers weren't all together. That way I could do them all. If you can't do the jump rope at the moment just swap it for something else

pinkflaming0 · 26/03/2014 23:19

L3D4 tonight.

Am not shredding as often as I was. I can see I'm getting some of the results I was after but am also definitely getting a thicker waist and am possibly getting a bit too skinny in the upper chest - ribs starting to show. I didn't do all the abs stuff tonight - substituted some leg exercises instead.

Ate half a box of chocolate fingers to help tackle the ribs starting to show! Fat will no doubt go on my thighs instead though Smile.

IdkickJilliansAss · 27/03/2014 06:55

Lindt I found extreme S&S confusing like L2 6w6p but ripped and KB&T. For everyone that is loving Jillian did you know she is in a relationship with a woman so there's always hope Wink

spinningirl10 · 27/03/2014 07:31

KB&T L1 D5 doneGrin

Nightwish · 27/03/2014 08:51

KB&T L1D10 yay. On to L2 day after tomorrow.
Managed to get up and do it at 6.30am, was a bit of a rush getting DS1 to school for his before school club but managed it.
I like the fact I am done for the day!
However if I feel good later I may do Ripped before dinner, will see how brave I feel and if I can fit it in around DS1's parents evening.

GandTnow · 27/03/2014 09:16

Did Shred this morning, but went back to level one to see how I was doing, stamina wise. Much improved and able to do it all like Natalie. Really pleased with this, and have lost two inches off my stomach, but still have that post baby wobble in the old tummy area. Really wish I could shift it - any advice gladly taken Smile

ChickenLidl also had tight calf muscles to begin with, are you wearing trainers? I didn't the first time I tried to Shred and really hurt my right calf. It did ease off this time after a few days.

Nice one, GandTnow! I hope to get to that stage Smile no shred for me the past couple of days as this blasted fluey-cold thing has reared its ugly head again Sad am contemplating an easy gym session tonight though

ErrolTheDragon · 27/03/2014 12:20

Ri30 L2D8.
Nightwish, I can't do the proper squat thrusts either and felt like trying them was going to strain something - I subbed in more mountain climbers for a few days and now doing the modified ones.

Can't do the crow push-ups either, unsurprising as I still can't do ordinary proper pushups. Oh, and the very last abs bit - I need to find something that's good for lower abs which is back-friendly.

Apart from that, great ! Grin

ChickenLidl · 27/03/2014 12:50

L1D6 complete, well apart from the jump rope! I substituted for butt kicks or more JJs, my calves just can't take any more jump ropes.

It felt different this morning, I'd hesitate to say easier, maybe just not quite as difficult :)

In other good news, 3lbs off as well Grin

IdkickJilliansAss · 27/03/2014 16:11

NMTZ And BFBM done Smile I really enjoyed NMTZ lots of good ab stuff and decent tricep moves

Lindt70Percent · 27/03/2014 18:37

Just did KB&T L1D1 and really enjoyed it! Lovely to see Anita and Natalie again. Didn't recognise them to start off with. Enjoyed all the flirting.

I like the short circuits. With 6W6P there's one long circuit that you do twice. I didn't mind this with level one but couldn't bear it with level two.

I know I'm going to be aching tomorrow because I'm already aching now.

Well done on the weight loss ChickenLidl!

ChickenLidl · 27/03/2014 19:07

Cheers Lindt! Just need to convince myself that celebrating with wine and cake is not a good idea.

NMTZ turned up today, and am very tempted to give it a go. However, I really want to do the whole 30 days of the shred. I'm crap like this, easily distracted.

LakeFlyPie · 27/03/2014 20:21

Ri30 L1 D7 done.
Had to use tins of tomatoes as could only find one of my dumbells, they felt light as feathers Grin need to go and search playroom for missing weight. Where would you put a 3lb dumbell if you were 3 yo?
Feel like my plank pose is getting stronger although I made the mistake of looking down at my stomach whilst planking
My core may be stronger but there was an obscene dangling apron of wrinkly flab the sight of which has motivated my 5:2 fast day tomorrow enormously!

ErrolTheDragon · 27/03/2014 20:27

Lake - that's why one should always wear lycra on ones lower half!

Surely a 3yo wont have carried a dumbbell very far?

IdkickJilliansAss · 27/03/2014 20:31

My DD walked around with my medicine ball when she was 3

yadahyadah · 27/03/2014 21:38

D10 L1 30 DS. Woo hoo. How bad can level 2 be? Don't answer that. Well, I am feeling a bit more positive about myself after a very sedentary winter. Thank you GandTnow for getting me on this JM jag. My adoration of her will surely get me through...
LakeFlyPie check the washing machine, in my house, whenever something gets lost, it's always in the fkg washing machine...

StuntNun · 27/03/2014 21:39

30DS L2D10 done and I'm ready to move on to level 3. I'll have to do 13 days at level 3. Will I be shredded at the end of it ?

I gave the kettlebell a go today which was fun. I hadn't realised that you don't lift it with your arms all the time so much as push up with your legs and basically just hold on to it while your legs do all the work. The 8kg kettlebell was too heavy for some of the one-handed lifts so I have ordered a 4kg one from Amazon with my last pennies. I did wonder if the 8kg one would be too heavy but I thought it would be better to get one that was too heavy that I would be able to use later on, rather than get one that's too light and isn't going to last me for long.

GeorginaWorsley · 27/03/2014 22:03

I've done 30 DS but gone back to beginning as I enjoy level one!
Wimp,I know.
I've lost nearly a stone though combined with MFP.
I like the 20 min thing, and usually do a 30/45 min walk every other day at least.
I feel much fitter anyway.

oohdaddypig · 27/03/2014 22:07

Lake fly - I have that fat on my tum too in plank. I think it's weak abs as much as anything?!

Has anyone done JM whilst TTC? I took it easy tonight NMTZ gently done and no jumping.

I'm not sure i could give up all exercise :)

GandTnow · 28/03/2014 09:57

level 3 of Shred done today, not sure what now as I did level 1 yesterday. Actually found it ok today and did most of the Natalie moves (apart from the press ups - too weak and feeble for those!)

Everyone seems really motivated and it's keeping me going too. Wondering what to do after the Shred. The other JM DVDs seem to be a lot longer and I must admit it is the 20 min thing that has kept me going this far. Any suggestions? Also any advice on shifting the belly wobble, certainly it is reduced but still there and still annoying!! Grin

OP posts:
Nightwish · 28/03/2014 09:59

Ri30 is the same time as Shred GandT.

Lindt70Percent · 28/03/2014 10:02

GandTnow, I would recommend level 1 of 6W6P for belly wobble! Can't recommend level 2 though. It's quite a bit longer than the Shred - about 35 mins I think.
